Kirkland Signature California Minced Garlic 1.36kg

Maybe it's just me and I got a bad batch or the ingredient ratios have changed. The one I purchased didn't taste like garlic at all. It was a very pungent tangy taste. Hopefully I just got a bad batch and this isn't what it's supposed to taste like.

I honestly prefer fresh garlic for my dishes however, shelling those pesky tiny cloves then having to mince them up is time consuming so we always get a bottle of this. These bottles last us a while and while they are not as potent as the real thing they do a good job in your food. We've used this to make a variety of Indian dishes, Italian, American dishes as well as to add to marinades for meats. Once opened this bottle if left in the refrigerator can last a while and is super convenient. This is also cheaper than buying fresh garlic, which can be jacked up in price at a lot of grocery stores.If you don't have the time or patience to shell garlic from cloves choose this free pass.

For me this garlic isn't garlicy enough. I realize it's more of a convenience thing for most people and it is very easy to just grab a scoop from the jar when cooking - but the flavor just isn't there for me. I think fresh garlic is a hard taste to make for long shelf life well, so I just stick to fresh

I absolutely love love love this jar of already minced garlic I get from Costco. Our family goes through this in a little over a month. Huge cookers and garlic fans live here. This just makes it so easy to add a spoonful to anything! My son will even eat it raw. When I say we love this I’m not kidding.

I definitely have a love/hate relationship with this garlic. The first time I purchased it it was used up in no time. I love the ease of grabbing it from the fridge for any recipe. After it was all gone, I missed it so much (and didn't have a membership at the time to repurchase) that I bought a ton of garlic and minced it myself. I put it in small containers and froze them until I needed it. I couldn't believe the difference in taste, aroma, and texture. That was about 4 years ago. I've recently repurchased this to try again and find myself always reaching for the natural garlic heads and forgetting about this. I have a hard time with the oil(?) it's packaged in and that it stays in firm tiny cubes when you use it. Large Size lasts a long time. Love the economical aspect of it already being minced - saves time when needing minced garlic. Versatile for many recipes. Great flavour.

If you hate chopping garlic as much as I do, then this product is for you! It lasts me quite a while too. It’s convenient. The flavour is pretty good. I still use fresh garlic for certain recipes still but this is perfect for when I want to be quick and don’t want to chop it up. Everyone should have this on hand!

Love getting this garlic from Costco. Best bang for your buck in this Italian household. One garlic clove... sure 2 scoops it is. This garlic is great, it is cut very small if you want that, sometimes I buy fresh to get a stronger flavor or bigger chunks

I am definitely one of those "you measure garlic with your heart" kind of people, if you know what I mean. I know fresh is best but ready to use in the fridge is so handy! I think it's just too big. Eventually it starts smelling a bit off before I get to the end of the ginormous jar. But if you can get through the quantity it's a great product. The texture is a uniform small mince and it tastes very good.

This huge jar of minced garlic is a fantastic value and I appreciate the convenience of the pre-minced garlic. They last plenty long and I’ve never had my jar of garlic go bad. I will always have this jar in hand because you can never have enough garlic because it’s good in every recipe.
