Let me preface with the fact that I am an electric kettle girlie. ✨ I use mine every night for my tea and protein hot cocoas. My first electric kettle was a Bodum and I’ve been using a Beautiful brand electric kettle for quite a while now. Upon receipt of the Kitchen Aid kettle I was VERY excited because I love the Kitchen Aid brand. The kettle looks great with my other appliances and has a very sleek, aesthetically pleasing appearance. When you plug the kettle in it makes a cute elevator “ding” sound and it also does the sound when the water is done boiling. The lid is very cute but don’t like how easy it is to coat it with finger prints. The lid is very cute but don’t like how easy it is to coat it with finger prints. My biggest bones to pick with this kettle are 1) so much louder than my Beautiful kettle, 2) took longer to heat up and boil, 3) the outside gets HOT because of the stainless steel. My main and primary concern for future buyers is the hot exterior. If you have small children that like to grab things on counters or would be at risk for touching the outside of the kettle after use, I’d personally choose a different kettle. For someone living alone or without small children, this is less of a hazard and concern. This kettle would also be good for someone who is the occasional user and not a daily user or connoisseur, as (like me) the user could be more prone to want more features. My last and final bone to pick with the kettle is how short the plug-in cord is. I’d love to see this be made with a longer cord or a retractable cord. Overall, it does seem like a good investment if it fits your needs after considering the pros and cons. This one might become my office kettle at work and I’ll leave the Beautiful kettle at home. 🏡... Show more

kitchenaid never disappoints! of all the brands out there— i’ve been consistently impressed with kitchenaid when it comes to all things cooking and baking. with this kettle, i’m able to now whip up tea, hot chocolate, or whatever else quickly as possible. my most favorite part of the kettle is the ability to control the temperature (usually electric kettles just have one setting), makes it worth the while to not have to sit there and wait for things to cool down before taking a sip. alsooo, the sleek design ties it all in— a very vintage/retro feel that matches all other stainless steel appliances easily including my kitchenaid stand up mixer😊... A kettle is a must have for the kitchen. Whether you’re making tea, oatmeal, a cleaning solution, or ramen - there’s plenty of needs and plenty of reasons to get one! My main reasoning is for hot tea! I have a cup every single night and this has come in such handy! It boils very quickly, you can add up to 1.7 liters if ever need be, it looks sleek and nice in the kitchen since it is just placed out, always. You can monitor the temperature (different teas like different boiling ranges). The list goes on! This is an all around great kettle and a great new addition to my home.... Show more

I LOVE this kettle! As a tea drinker, it can be hard to get the water to just the right temp for each type of tea. But with this kettle, you can actually set the temperature the water boils to (the manual even comes with a handy chart for temperature recommendations depending on what you are making). This has made green and white tea so much easier to make properly. I also really the sleek style of the kettle. It's more of an off white, so it doesn't match my Keurig completely, but they still look very nice together. I also appreciate the swivel base. It makes it so much easier to reattach the kettle to the base from any direction. My husband also noted how nice and sturdy if a cord this has as well. Overall, I highly recommend the Kitchen Aid kettle!... Show more

Beautiful and Functional
Can we first start by saying how gorgeous this kettle is in the porcelain white? It’s compact and looks perfect on my countertop. This is the easiest electric kettle I’ve ever operated and the best feature for me is it AUTOMATICALLY shuts off once done. I’ve walked away only to forget I was even boiling water way too many times to admit but that has become a thing of the past with this kettle! You choose the exact temperature you want and within a couple of minutes, you have piping hot water in record time. Highly recommend as a must have staple in any kitchen.... Show more

KitchenAid Artisan KEK1701 Electric Kettle 1.7L Matte Black
Love the look a d feel of the this kettle. Some drawbacks:-The Ding sounds is really loud. Trying to quietly boil the kettle early in the morning is a bit off putting when their are other people sleeping.-The lid is difficult to open. It doesn't just pop open when you press the button. These are minor draw backs and I would probably buy the kettle regardless considering I had researched what I wanted before hand.... Show more

KitchenAid quality and amazing design for bigger serving family.
The window for the water levels is great for being able to serve multiple people or larger families. Easy to use and helpful to hot water for oatmeal, hot cereals and coffee/tea. I know KitchenAid brand is quality but the ease of use window makes it so wonderful. The color is beautiful and can be matched to any decor. It's easy to move the kettle as you need without being stuck to one outlet or bulky equipment. The metal walls keep the hot water insulated for hot water use way afterwards. The easy pour lid is an amazing feature as well.... Show more

Noisy, irritating appliance. Short cable.
I have quite a few Kitchen Aid products in my kitchen to use. So decision to get 2 kettles for my relative and myself in instalments was made straight away after watching QVCUK demo. We were both disappointed with very strong noises these kettles produce while heating water, plus start and final sounds, especially if a person gets up very early, like my relative, at 4 am to go to work. Such sounds and noises are very disturbing not only for other family members but even neighbours. Though QVC UK demo presenter insisted on low noise of start and finish of the process, the real noise is strong, not for everyone. The other reason to return both kettles is a very short cable, my measurements of useful cable length is only 75-80 cm. So such kitchen appliance must be very close to a socket, not every household has enough space to accommodate a kettle. Watch the space before making such considerable purchase. Listen, QVC, the real cable length must be shown in the description like reputable Companies do. Call centre was helpful to provide us with free return labels and collection, thanks. Do not recommend this product to potential customers with sensitive hearing as well as for those who wakes up early in the morning.... Show more

Simple electric kettle
The design is good. I like the color. It matches my kitchen well. It's a warm, bone off-white, but not yellowed. The capacity is decent. It holds 1.7 liters, which is about a half gallon. There is temperature control, but the measurements are in Celsius, so I had to look up the conversions to Fahrenheit. It took 4 minutes and 50 seconds to heat an entire pot at 100 degrees Celsius. It's pretty easy to use. It turns off after reaching its selected temperature. This is a feature I appreciate as I had an incident with a stove top kettle once and no longer use those kinds. I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review. I would recommend this product to someone looking for a simple, easy to use electric kettle, as long as you don't mind having the ...
