This KitchenAid 3.5 cup food chopper is truly a must have in the kitchen. This little chopper takes up very little room but it is such a great kitchen appliance to have. I use this in the morning and throw onions, peppers, and tomatoes into it chop them up and then cracks eggs into the mixture and chop them just a little to blend it really well. It makes the best western omelets. I use it to chop up celery and onion for chicken salad or tuna salad. If you want to make salsa or homemade guacamole it's the perfect size and you don't have to get out the big huge food processor because this does such a great job when you don't have a lot to do. It literally takes a minute to chop up a whole onion or 3 minutes to make homemade fresh salsa. It also will puree foods and it has a hole in the top so if you want to make your own salad dressings or pesto you can add oil while it's processing your other ingredients. The quality of this is just superb and I can highly recommend this product. It is super simple to use as well and very easy for cleanup, in fact I put a couple of drops of dish soap in the food processor with warm water, pulse it a few times and finally rinse with very hot water and it's clean.

I recently got the KitchenAid 3.5 Cup Food Chopper, in black. We have had a similar KitchenAid Food Chopper for over a decade. It’s a little powerhouse. My wife, who is the accomplished cook in the house, uses it so much that she wanted a backup. The review is from her perspective, which I tried to capture. In the box you get the chopper motor housing, the 3.5 cup container, with locking lid and with drizzle spout and pour spout, the blade/shaft/adapter, and documentation.Key notes include the fact that the container and all items that fit in the container/on the container are top-rack dishwasher safe. The construction of the motor housing and other components are all KitchenAid quality… very durable, especially when compared to other manufacturers. Blades are super sharp, as one would expect. And the cord included is substantial, yet fits neatly around the housing to keep the cord organized when not in use. In addition, the feet on the bottom of the housing keep the unit in place when chopping, while reducing vibration. Ingenious. The sturdy lid (and the chopper container) lock solidly into place to ensure that neither comes loose while in use. Neither she nor I knew what the hole was for on the lid of our current chopper. And, given we now had the instructions for the new chopper, we decided to check them out. Low and behold, the hole is a drizzle spout for slowly adding in oils to dressings, etc., without having to remove the locked lid. Will wonders never cease? The chopper offers two speeds (chop and puree) and a pulse option. You lock the lid and body in place and hold down the integrated pulse/on “button” on the lid (by the handle, where your thumb would be as you hold the container, if you were pouring it) to chop or puree. The unit will not turn on unless the lid and body are securely locked in place. You pulse by quickly pressing and releasing the pulse/on button. Make sure to read the instructions if you have any questions (I wish we would’ve years ago). They're very clear and easy to read. But, even without the instructions, this thing is super easy to use and has a very powerful motor. My wife has made chimichurri with it (parsley, garlic, and oil) for steaks, salsa, pico de gallo, peanut butter, and a ton of other things. According to her, it’s great for chopping/mincing onions for burgers, awesome for chopping nuts for baking and for use as ice cream toppings, and excellent at chopping fruits for jams.I asked her for her overall rating, she said that it’s a solid five-star. I asked her why. She said that the KitchenAid 3.5 cup chopper that we currently have has served her well for years. And, showing true KitchenAid quality, while the one we have isn’t showing signs of slowing down yet… even after years of hard use… after trying this one to make sure it worked just as well, cleaning it up and storing it for when our current one eventually calls it quits, she said that she has no problem recommending this little gem to others. Give the KitchenAid 3.5 cup chopper a go folks. You won’t be disappointed.

I never felt the need for a food processor. I had one years ago and gave it away because of the space it took and hassle to wash it. This has became my favorite kitchen small appliance as it squashed those cons right away! So powerful for something so small! It perfectly chops nuts, onions, peppers, celery, and just about anything else that fits into the chopped food category! I also used it for some desserts. It turned my vanilla cookies into powder , perfect for my truffles, in seconds. It takes almost no space on my counter. I've used it for four different meal preps in two days and I suspect I'm going to use it a few times per week. It’s really easy to use. Another nice bonus is that it has a place for liquids like oil to be poured into so that it can be incorporated into the mixture. They refer to it as an oil drizzle. The best thing is that the bowl, stainless steel blade, and lid are dishwasher safe (top shelf only)! The base is very sturdy and securely holds the machine in place during operation. The cord can be easily hidden as it has a space for it to be wrapped around the base…very convenient ! If you're looking for a superior food chopper, I highly recommend getting this one!

The Kitchenaid 3.5 Cup Food Chopper is an awesome addition to my kitchen appliances. I love how simple it is to open the lid, drop the ingredients for chopping, and chop away by lightly depressing the handle. This small appliance is very stylish and modern and matches my other appliances well in black color. Goes well with stainless as well. It does well chopping onions, peppers, pureeing bananas for banana bread and pretty much anything in need of small fine chopping. This appliance definitely speeds up my slicing time. Best part is that cleanup is a breeze. Dishwasher safe, and very easy to wash in the sink as well. 3.5 cups is large enough for most instances for our family of 5 for quick guacamole or salsa. It's fairly light as well if needed to move from one location to another which is a big convenience especially when you make multiple dishes.
KitchenAid has always had a reputation for quality kitchen appliances and accessories, and this 3.5 cup food chopper is no exception. The product is easy to assemble for use and simple to disassemble for cleaning. It operates smoothly and effectively whether chopping veggies, nuts, making sauces, dressings or most anything else you feel like whipping up on a whim. The motor is strong enough to make quick work of hard nuts for a homemade granola in the morning, and gentle enough to create a special salad dressing in the evening. A drizzle bowl allows the user to add oil or liquids to the contents while mixing-this is a great feature. Need to process crackers or breadcrumbs? This is the right tool for the job. This KitchenAid 3.5 Cup Food Chopper in matte black is a great little food processor that can do a lot despite being so small. I owned this food copper in silver for 5 years (still working wonderfully) and liked it enough to want another. It doesn’t chop or puree as much as a full size larger food processor but the smaller footprint and speed make it worth doing two batches if needed. It is useful for mincing things that are tedious to do by hand and making sauces, especially since there is the hole on top to slowly stream in oil or other liquids. Food can get stuck under the blade piece if you try to empty the bowl and then try to put the blade back in but that happens with most machines. Food can get stuck under the blade piece if you try to empty the bowl and then try to put the blade back in but that happens with most machines. I highly suggest getting a mini spatula to use along with this processor to be able to get all the bits out. The only function I miss that a full size food processor has that this mini doesn’t is the ability to grate or shred things like cheese and vegetables. I like that the buttons are simple with the lid acting as the on/off switch by pressing down on it. Like most food processors or choppers, it is somewhat like a puzzle to put together/detatch the lid, bowl and base and it does take some repetition to get master. However, all the parts fit together well and it is not too difficult. I like that it is designed so you can store the power cord around the base of the machine so it's easy to keep the cord tidy when not in use. It is well made and feels substantial. This matte black color is really sleek and makes the machine look high end and modern. Overall, I highly recommend this if you are looking for a mini food chopper
We do a lot of cooking which means we do a lot of food prep. I was hoping this would help with chopping veggies. Turns out it’s not what I’ll probably use it for but I will use it. It does chop but it chops aggressively so if I want something roughly chopped I’ll do better by hand. Finely chopped can be done but carefully so I don’t purée by mistake. What I will find this perfect for is sauces and I make a lot of sauces. This is the perfect size and function for salsa, guacamole, dressing, tzatziki, etc. it does a great job. It’s easy to use. Cleaning couldn’t be easier as you can use the top rack of your dishwasher for the base, blade and lid. Storing is also well designed as it’s small and the unit has a place to wrap the cord neatly. Overall a nice addition to my kitchen.

You'll chop, mix, and puree your way to quick creations and fresh options. From KitchenAid. Includes KFC3516BM mini food processor base, 3.5-cup bowl, lid, locking blade, and manualHandle and pour spoutPlastic/stainless steel construction. Dishwasher-safe bowl, lid, and blade. To open the lid. It’s done by turning it off, which is a lot different then just trying to tear it off. But, once you figured that out, it’s easy to close it. Once closed and attached to electricity, you just put it on by closing the lid with your thumb. Lift your thumb, and it will immediately stop chopping. This makes it easy to dose how small you want your sugar/veggies/meat or chocolate. There is only 1 switch on it: to differ between cutting hard and cutting really hard. I will use this till I cant anymore lol. It's really a good kitchen tool to have!
Excellent chopper! The most difficult part about using it was figuring out how to open it in the first place, but once we figured that out, it was effortless. The button must be held down to blend, but it's very satisfying to push and takes no effort at all to hold down. Even cleanup is easy as the bowl, top, and blades are all top-rack dishwasher-safe.
