Bought as a Christmas present to myself after years of wanting one. So far I've used all the attachments except the pastry paddle and they have been a game changer, especially the flex-edge paddle. Having two bowls has been a game changer too as I make a lot of iced baking so can work with one bowl while the other is mixing! It's bulky for me to move from it's home on the counter to the power outlet so popped it on a wooden board with some ball bearing wheels from Amazon and it's great. The cable tidy is a real step up from previous models!Inclusion of a guide for first time users would be helpful - i.e. what the speeds are, how to use the dough hook well. Having seen this used on the GBBO,breaking my very old mixer and all the hype around this machine it was a gift I asked for. However although it does appear to be a very good mixer there are a few things I dislike.1. The beater does not get all the ingredients from the slide or bottom of the bowl. This means lots of stopping and manually scraping (note I do have the scraper attachment)2. The instruction booklet that came with it is super thick, but that is due to the many languages. The guidance in it however in how to use the mixture and maybe ideas is painfully poor… maybe 1 page.3. The free gift I was offered with it was one of the reason I purchased this particular one, however the gift is a completely different colour. What’s not to like? The best mixer in the world in pink! I had a white heavy duty Kitchenaid mixer in the past when I had a cake business but had to let the mixer go with the business when I sold it. I didn’t bake for a while but recently have been hankering for it again. My obvious choice for a mixer was a Kitchenaid as my previous machine was an absolute workhorse. As it’s my 50th birthday treat to myself I wanted to choose a mixer which will last me forever. I made no deliberation at all over the colour. The rose pink is perfect. It arrived and is a thing of beauty. I’ve kept it on the worktop because I like looking at it. But I’ve used it lots too. I love the tilt head as my previous was a drop down bowl. I find this more convenient. A new addition since my last ... MoreWhat’s not to like? The best mixer in the world in pink! I find this more convenient. A new addition since my last mixer is the paddle with rubber blade which is genius. The different speeds make the mixer so versatile. Slow and steady when you need it, but super fast and snappy when you want that buttercream fluffy. I’m looking at additional tools now which I never had before, to make the most of this wonderful machine. So happy with my purchase as I expected I would be. I have called her Kitty.

I am trilled with my new 4.8L Artisan Stand Mixer. In the past 3 weeks we have become quite acquainted and my family are thrilled with the amazing goodies I'm serving up to them. So far I've made several portions of homemade butters (lemon zest & chilli - perfect for fish, herb & garlic - perfect for almost everything and plain unsalted), 2 x my own creation of combining New York Carnegie Deli & Basque style cheesecakes (which I have to say is now the best cheesecake I've ever had), sourdough bread, Monkey Bread, Cinnamon Buns with cream cheese icing & whipped/mashed potatoes. Everything has been a hit so far & my next goal is to make some of my version of Levian Bakery cookies! The mixer is heavy but THANK GOODNESS or it may otherwise fly off the counter when ... MoreI am trilled with my new 4.8L Artisan Stand Mixer. The weight is actually a testament to the solid quality of the product & I am confident that this will be a generational item, handed down to my children when I'm gone. The Hibiscus colour of my mixer is delightful and though I do hope to eventually find a place to store it, other than on my kitchen counter, I just LOVE the joy & brightness it radiates when I walk into my kitchen.

I bought my first Kitchenaid stand mixer in 2013 (Platinum KSM156) i used it alot and decided to sell it in 2021. Unfortunately by mid 2022 I decided it was a big mistake. Anyway, bought another one (Artisan KSM195) for a Christmas present to myself. I haven't used it yet but will soon. They are a great robust stand mixer, and I am definitely keeping this one.The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that the manual that comes with it is just a few pages compared to my previous model where it huge with heaps of recipes. Not sure why Kitchenaid don't do a manual/cookbook anymore. Perhaps to save money or feedback. I much prefer a hard copy WITH RECIPES. So glad that I took the plunge!

I bought my Onyx Black Stand Mixer just after Christmas. I had been looking at looking at mixers for a while and trying to decide whether to take the plunge and get one. I had been using an old fashioned egg beater and whisk to make cakes so I really did need something a bit more advanced! I am so happy with my decision and on New Year's Day I made my first cake with it. It was my famous chocolate cake which I had always beaten by hand. It was so simple to use and I made use of both of the bowls that came with the product - one to mix the base ingredients using the flex edge beater and the other to make the egg whites light and fluffy using the whisk attachment. It turned out so well. Since then I have ventured into making individual meringues using my ducks eggs. ... MoreI bought my Onyx Black Stand Mixer just after Christmas. I'm very pleased with my purchase and looking forward to trying the dough hook next. My mixer has opened up a whole new world of baking for me and that's just the beginning.

Excellent food mixer. Very good for mixing both heavy dough and light cake mixes. Solid, well built and saves so much hassle. Wish we had bought one years ago!We nearly went for the cheaper option in Lake Land (NOT exactly cheap, but substantially cheaper), but when you look and feel the two, side by side, the extra is well worth it. The range of accessories which can simply be locked in and driven off the mixer itself, puts it in a different league to most of the competition. . I love it. From the colour but more than that! Rarely now a days you buy something and you can feel the quality. It’s quiet, it’s sturdy and it’s good, It is worth the money. I have wanted one for years, I was introduced to kitchenaid in USA, I did buy the meant grinder metal one, makes easy job of burgers both pork and beef, Sorry vegetarians! 🥺This machine is every bit living up to my expectations, I bought the meat grinder by kitchenaid and it is so easy to use, not hard to clean, you can make everything from scratch, and I must say kitchenaid another quality made item…my husbands into his cars and so this is something he would relate too.. I felt like I was unwrapping a Mercedes of the car world…it’s that well made for a mixer…and the colour doesn’t ... More. I love it. From the colour but more than that! my first use wasn’t great. none of the attachments would fit onto the unit properly because there’s a pin that wasn’t pushed in properly. once i got it so one side was flush and the other poked out to hold the attachment in place they (mostly) fit on with no dramas. some were still weirdly tight. also had a weird issue with the motor struggling to mix cake batter and it actually even stopped working but i turned it off and restarted it and haven’t had the issue come back since. not a great first use and i was worried that id have to return it (still am tbh) but hopefully it was just some weird one-off issue.i don’t find the shield all that helpful, flour still goes shooting out the back unless you put the mixer on the lowest setting when adding flour, in which ... Moremy first use wasn’t great. none of the attachments would fit onto the unit properly because there’s a pin that wasn’t pushed in properly. once i got it so one side was flush and the other poked out to hold the attachment in place they (mostly) fit on with no dramas. some were still weirdly tight. also had a weird issue with the motor struggling to mix cake batter and it actually even stopped working but i turned it off and restarted it and haven’t had the issue come back since. not a great first use and i was worried that id have to return it (still am tbh) but hopefully it was just some weird one-off issue.i don’t find the shield all that helpful, flour still goes shooting out the back unless you put the mixer on the lowest setting when adding flour, in which case you don’t need the shield anyways.the pebbled palm is beautiful though and having the mixer has inspired me to do more baking! the capacity is perfect for what i use it for and having the two sized bowls is great. i’ve made focaccia, cake with meringue buttercream, cinnamon buns, and some dressings. looking forward to getting some of the other attachments like the pasta rollers!
