This scoop is looks good and feels good in the hand. It seems slightly weighted which I like. When I have scooped ice cream or sherbet the scooped material just dropped in the bowl without much sticking. My only nitpick is that the parts that are shiny probably will be the first to go. It might have been better to use a non-shiny surface. I rinse and dry it immediately after use and will not put it in the dishwasher. I hope that makes it last a long time.

Good weight, works well even for hard ice cream. I have noticed some small discoloration since washing but nothing that has affected performance overall (and I may have not followed washing instructions)

I love this ice cream scoop. It is really sturdy and has been able to scoop some very solid hard ice cream. My favourite part, is that it is dishwasher safe!! And is is doing quite well, given how many times it has been through the dishwasher. Would definitely buy again.

I went on a limb and purchased this ice cream scoop thinking, it's Kitchenaid so it must be good but really, it's just and ice cream scoop! Well think again! It's nice and sturdy, feels like it will last and not break like the cheap supermarket ones.
I love the KitchenAid brand it has the feel of an expensive brand and last forever. I've had some of the same KitchenAid stuff as when I moved in with my husband. You really can't go wrong with this brand and even this ice cream scoop is heavy duty. I have a feeling it's going to last me a long time. I don't see it falling apart anytime soon. Just the feel of this scoop in your hand is enough to get any kitchen lover excited! I would definitely recommend it!
This is a great ice cream scoop. I love the design of both the scoop and the handle. The handle makes it very easy to hold and is sturdy and the scoop's shape allows you to roll it across the ice cream and make a perfect rounded "scoop" rather than just getting a clump. I used my other which was round and had the little lever to let the ice cream go for years and years and although it was still ok, it started to discolor a little so I decided to purchase a new one. I didn't realize how antiquated it was and how new technology improved even scooping ice cream :)
I had been looking at this while range for sometime so add a few piece of the range to my kitchen needs. I love this brand as a whole so the gadgets and utensils did not disappoint.
Junk. The "plating" on the bottom of the scoop flaked off. Used this today and the coating began flaking off. We've had it maybe a year.
After minimal use, the inside of the scoop developed a change in the finish and now there are little, rough bumps in it. I thought it was dirty, but it is in the finish and not on the outside and wasn't like this the first few times we used it. Won't buy a KitchenAid ice cream scoop again.
The hallow handle fills with water, stores it, and then it some of it creeps out when you turn the thing upside down to scoop ice cream. Unsafe and absolutely disgusting.
