The speed settings are “0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10” which I find odd, as compared to having 1-10. I didn’t realize that if you press down on the speed lever it allows for adjusting from 1-10.In terms of clean up, I am thankful that the accessories are dishwasher safe. But wish that the mixing bowl was as well. This definitely is not a deal breaker but would have been a nice bonus.

In the box we have the mixer of course, the beautiful (I cannot stress enough how beautiful) mixing bowl, a nylon scraper, and four stainless steel attachments (Pastry beater, flat beater, wire whip, and dough hook), the manual and an accessories sheet.Use – Use is easy and quick to setup, just tilt the mixing head up using the release lever, attach the desired tool by slotting it in and rotating until it locks and slides down, then once you have your preparations made slot the bowl into the stand and rotate to lock and you are ready to get mixing! What I love about this mixer is the sheer abundance of attachments that can be used with the attachment hub. First thing we did was pick out four attachments and get them ordered, we chose a food processor, sausage stuffer, shaved ice attachment, and a slicer/shredder. There are attachments to replace most of what we use in the kitchen! We cannot wait to try these when they come in. Our first use was making sour dough bread using the recipe and video from Kitchenaid’s site (there are a ton of videos and recipes to try) using the flat beater and bread hook attachments. Note that this recipe is amazing and does take two days (12-24hr period) to make. I highly suggest trying it! As a final thought this is one quiet mixer, makes our handheld mixer sound like a jackhammer!The final word from me on the Kitchenaid Blossom tilt-head stand mixer is that it is an elegant addition to any kitchen. The amazing number of attachments that are available for this mixer make it a suitable replacement for a lot of kitchen kit that takes up space when not in use. The mixer is amazingly sturdy and well made, so much so I fully expect this to be making great food long after we pass it on to our kids and even longer! Thank you Kitchenaid!!!!!

I was super excited to purchase this mixer because she is beautiful!! I’m already the owner of a larger Kitchen Aid however she was just to pretty to pass up and I justified the purchase in my mind to the fact that my daughter and I could bake simultaneously!! My daughters first batch of cookies was a success and we were so excited we purchased the mixer. The next day I decided to bake cinnamon rolls and started the mixer and to my surprise it started making a scrapping/grinding sound, turned it off/on and it went away, tried again and it started back up. Please keep in mind this was the second use of this machine. Started back up and it stopped however the top of the mixer became impossible to touch because the motor was causing the metal to overheat. I’ve really enjoyed the amount of time I’ve saved mixing various things when needed. Stainless steel whisk, hook and beaters are strong and easy to clean. I’d love to venture out a bit more trying some of the other accessories.My only design criticism would be that the speed settings are a little hard to see due to the colours. I love the copper hammered bowl design but disappointed I cannot purchase another second one from the website. I understand it’s a limited design but it would be nice if those of us who have registered their purchase could get access to another. Just a thought.
This mixer is great! The copper bowl is soooooo chic and amazing looking! I have owned a KitchenAid stand mixer before, and this one lives up to the high quality that I would expect. My previous KitchenAid came with 3 mixing attachments, this one comes with a fourth, the pastry beater. I don’t make flaky pastries that often so I did not think this would be very useful for me, but I was reading the guide and it suggested it for shredding meats. Yessssssssss!!!!! I make shredded pork or chicken in my slow cooker all of the time, and then I laboriously shred by hand with two forks. The only thing that was a surprise for me is I thought the color was going to be more of a mint but it was really more of a grey/green sage. I would have probably preferred mint but actually the sage looks really beautiful with the copper, but I wanted to give warning in case anyone was trying to get matchy/matchy with their mint kitchen! Overall I would highly recommend! Amazing KitchenAid quality you know and love, but that copper bowl just gives it that pop of something unexpected to really elevate the style of it!

But, for this review let me start with just how beautiful this machine is.The sage green and botanical elements are just stunning. Not to mention the copper bowl. It is certainly a show piece that will compliment any kitchen counter. The copper bowl does show water stains but its so easy to wash and dry quickly to avoid this. I haven't needed to use a copper cleaner as yet but will do so if I feel it needs it. The hammered pattern on the bowl is really a nice accent.The machine as a whole is heavy (10+ kg) so lifting it or moving it around can be a little difficult. I can't believe I have been using a hand mixer for so long. It really is turn on and let it do it's thing. I've noticed that my cake mixes are so much more evenly mixed and beating eggs and cream are done in a jiffy. I can't recommend this kitchen aid enough and to have it come in such a fabulous colour and design is icing on the cake!
