I had to wait nearly 4 weeks for the stock, but it was worth it. The blade is super sharp so be careful. I chose the mini due to lack of storage, thinking that the wattage may be too low. I was wrong, you can chop, whip almost puree anything in this. You just need to do a few batches and you honestly don't need the large one. I have the mixer in Empire Red to match and it's never faulted. Quality lasts so it's worth it. One thing to note, on the cheaper competitors, the blade is smaller and finer, this blade is a decent size, hence why it works well.Lots of online reviews talked about the lid being difficult to get on and off. The first twist off was tricky and I can see what people mean, but after that, it is an easy pull clockwise to remove it and anti-clockwise ... MoreI had to wait nearly 4 weeks for the stock, but it was worth it. The cord tucks neatly into a groove and the blade, lid and bowl are dishwasher safe.I just made sauce and chopped up some over ripe tomatoes, sugo made in seconds.

Watching the presentation on the QVC and so pleased to see the mini processor in action.I have used mine this morning, 8.00am, to make fresh humous for snacks. I love this machine, perfect size for a tin of chickpeas. Have made dips, crumble topping etc, etc. The strong motor makes short work of everything. I keep it in a cupboard and it is no problem lifting it in and out especially with the cord storage and handle. Please, please read and follow the instructions for fitting and removing the lid. It looks like people have returned this because the lid didn't fit.Put the lid on top, handle towards you, and gently turn anticlockwise until you feel it slip down into place then final turn to click in place. It is barely a quarter turn. My daughter showed me this little chopper she had purchased, mainly to make mayonnaise. I was taken with it, and as my big Magimix had bitten the dust after several years of very hard use, I decided I would purchase this little gem.So pleased with it. It chops breadcrumbs really finely and when I put some left over lamb into it to make a herby mince for dinner it coped with the chunky bits of lamb no trouble at all. I like the thumb action to make it chop, means more control over how big or small you want the end result to be. It is very quiet really for a machine which chops stuff up AND the real bonus, is I now have more workspace on my kitchen worktops. For its size it is a giant of a machine. Just need to learn how to make mayonnaise with it, although bonus, it ... MoreMy daughter showed me this little chopper she had purchased, mainly to make mayonnaise. Loved the purchase. The size is just perfect for me. I have a full sized Nutribullet blender and it is very inconvenient to use in many scenarios other than making smoothies. Also worth mentioning is the modular design on this one. It is so convenient to clean afterwords. I have so far made pestos, chopped nuts and pureed cooked spinach. I’m still yet to try making nut butter, hummus, and almond date energy balls. The last item broke my immersion hand blender from walmart since it can get sticky. I’m confident that the food processor is powerful enough to handle it. No complains about refurbished quality.
Bought this as an early christmas gift to myself to help with holiday cooking and baking– perfect little chopper! Handles nuts, fruit, onions, greens, and sauces beautifully. Easy to clean and assemble– the only trouble I've had is when switching out a chopper's worth of ingredients, sometimes the lid gets a bit sticky and doesn't want to spin into place easily. Because the "on" sensor relies on the lid being perfectly locked into place, if bits of food are stuck to the rim of the bowl or lid it can prevent locking. Easy enough to remember to scrape the rim clean in between chops! I usually avoid single-function gadgets, but the time and wrist pain this saves me in chopping and mincing is so worth it.
I’ve wanted one of these for about three years since my last mini chopper died but I always talked myself out of actually ‘needing' it.When I finally purchased a month ago it was like a revelation.. I don’t know how I’ve lived without it using it at least 3 times a week! It’s super sturdy (despite the lid initially feeling a bit plasticky) and matches all my other Kitchen Aid appliances which I love.I live alone so am always making small batches of things. With two speed settings and enough power to smash through everything I put in it. The bowl is just the perfect size for me.From Sprouted Chick Pea humous (which comes out super smooth and creamy) to sauces and rustic lightly chopped pesto this Mini Food Chopper is perfect! This little machine is an all ... MoreI’ve wanted one of these for about three years since my last mini chopper died but I always talked myself out of actually ‘needing' it.When I finally purchased a month ago it was like a revelation.. Five stars from me Highly recommended! :-)
I'm giving this review before getting much use from this 'chopper'. I've been unhappy with results on certain foods using my full size processor, so bought this little one, and so far it does exactly what the big one falters on. The *very sharp blades* are great for chopped nuts and the blade's keenness and design are perfect for soft foods (hardboiled eggs) as one or two pulses is all that's required. Perfect size for one-cup mayonnaise. Also, a frozen banana can become the main ingredient for 'ice cream', which got too soft in the big processor. The top is slightly fiddly, but it's worth it considering all the real fine features.
This is such a useful size. It takes up minimal space compared to large food processors but handles everything we through at it. Brilliant for whizzing up pesto, chopping nuts or making breadcrumbs, the small size makes it really easy to store and get out when we need it. There is no giant bowl to wash up afterwards so we probably use it more than if we had a large sized one. Sometimes that means having to divide into 2 batches but ease of use and space saving in the kitchen more than makes up for the minor inconvenience. A great little work horse!
I bought this for my new home for two reasons:First, the KitchenAid is always QUALITY! The longevity and dependability are bar none. My husband gave me a KitchenAid stand mixer for our anniversary that I used for over 30 years and then gave it to a friend and bought myself a new one in a color I am decorating my new kitchen. Since then I have purchased many accessories and small appliances. The food chopper is my latest choice (again in my color). Secondly, again, the QUALITY! When I married in 1971 at the age of 19, my dad bought me a 25 year old washer that had such a powerful spin cycle that the clothes were almost dry when I took them out. That type of quality hardly exists any longer. That type of quality hardly exists any longer. Cheap materials, foreign manufacturers and lack of integrity have lowered the standards drastically. KitchenAid still manufactures with legendary integrity and dependability. Anyone that knows from experience (i.e., owns and uses) a KitchenAid appliance understand what great enjoyment is in a kitchen. I was born in 1951 and know with confidence that my many KitchenAid items that have prepared so many loving meals will live on a very long time as sweet memories by my family when they use them.
