Love it, but it's just overpriced

I wanted a new food processor that was cordless and smaller than my large capacity food processor. In comparison to my other food processor, this does the job, just not quite as well as the other one. (And keep in mind, my other one is around 10 years old, and cost maybe $30). I like that this one is cordless and small and compact! That means it takes up less room in my kitchen or in my sink when I’m cooking a large meal. So it does exactly what I was looking for. However, I feel like this is overpriced, and probably worth about half of what I paid. I love kitchenaid, and almost all of my kitchenaid appliances (big and small) are the same kitchenaid brand. I just don’t feel like this one warrants the high price tag though.

Not too large, not too small. Just right.

It was a happy accident to find this on the shelf the week it was released, as I was noticing that most choppers/processors were either 3 cups or 9 cups (or larger) in size. I wanted a processor for cake making; e.g. making a crumb base, and 3 cups was too small and 9 massive overkill. 5 cups was perfect. The battery when full charged has plenty of power and the twin blades make a fine chop quickly. The only downside, if you consider it a downside, is that this is plastic and not the solid steel we're used to from KitchenAid. For me this isn't a problem, because this mini appliance breaks down into halves and goes into a drawer, instead of being on the counter in a permanent spot like full size appliances. The motor has a decent weight to it, even if the rest of it ... MoreIt was a happy accident to find this on the shelf the week it was released, as I was noticing that most choppers/processors were either 3 cups or 9 cups (or larger) in size. This portable food chopper from Kitchenaid is such a handy cooking tool. I love its smaller size. The 5 cup bowl is perfect for our small family (3 people) since we don’t often need to be making huge quantities of food. This is both lightweight and it has a small footprint so it’s easy to stash away in the pantry or cabinets when not in use. The battery pack is easy to plug in and it charges pretty quickly. I like that it’s usb-C so it’s a more universal port instead of needing a specific cord just for this. Plus, the indicator lights on the battery make it easy to tell how much juice it’s got left. It has stayed charged through multiple meals, so it seems like it doesn’t lose power too quickly, either. I thought this did a great job of chopping food, though since ... MoreThis portable food chopper from Kitchenaid is such a handy cooking tool. I love its smaller size. I think the build quality is super nice and what I’d expect from a Kitchenaid product, and the matte black color is a classic, stylish choice.

Cordless chopperWe are a huge fan of KitchenAid equipment so we were excited to test the first cordless machine from this brand. At first we were a bit disappointed because it did not gave us the ‘KitchenAid’ look&feel of the machine, it was more plastic and seemed less robust.Well never judge a book by its cover or a machine by its box!The power it has impressed us and this all without a cord. On a daily basis I am making protein shakes so I get to use and test it on a daily basis. This really helps to get acquainted with the machine. There is one thing I dislike, and that is when serving out the mixed/chopped contents, I had a few times that the bladed part fell out. With other KitchenAid models I am used that there is something blocking it from falling out ... MoreCordless chopperWe are a huge fan of KitchenAid equipment so we were excited to test the first cordless machine from this brand. This KitchenAid Go™Cordless Food Chopper with battery (Matte Black) is awesome. The unit arrived very well packaged and the instructions were very easy to follow. I like that it is cordless and is very easy to operate. The included battery lasts quite a while and I didn't need to recharge it at all when using it for the 1st time. I can now chop Onions, Celery, Carrots and many other veggies I use when preparing my meals. Cleanup is quite easy and I like that when in use, there is no mess being made. It is small but very powerful and is made of quality products and looks very good on my counter. I really like that I don't have to use a cord and clutter up the area when in use or when storing it away.It is very powerful and whatever option I am using it for, this ... MoreThis KitchenAid Go™Cordless Food Chopper with battery (Matte Black) is awesome. 1 June 2024

A great chopper, despite the small bowl it is a perfect addition to the kitchen. Despite its small size, it really has a lot of power, easily chopping several hard carrots in the blink of an eye. Make pesto with this chopper, no problem, just a few moments and the pesto sauce is ready. Ingredients for goulash too, whip cream or egg whites - no problem, it does it very quickly and without any problems, you can take it wherever you want because the battery lasts a long time. The disadvantages are that it does not have a grating disc as in the case of larger models and the container is susceptible to scratches after the first washing with a sponge. But it is also dishwasher safe. A product worth recommending because it really helps a lot and does not take up much space.

On the plus side, this new 12v battery will last you up to 60 minutes of continuous. I wish kitchenaid made it simpler and interchangeable with their cordless line. So make sure you have the right model. Other than that i am very happy with my chopper and would recommend!
