I appreciate the fact that I don't have to pick out mash potatoes from the slots, because of the curves lines everything just slides back into the bowl.
Product says dishwasher safe, but handle developed a bulge and deformed in top rack of dishwasher.
I purchased this as part of a kitchen tool themed wedding gift. The recipient was very happy with the masher, and has reported that it helps in making smooth mashed potatoes.
Replaces a fancy unit the inlaws told us we *had to have*. It broke. Nothing beats solid metal.
I have looked long and hard for a wire masher! Couldn't find one anywhere. All you can find elsewhere are those useless ones made of plastic. Ugh!
It's worked very well for me over the past couple months, and it matches all my other Kitchenaid utensils. It holds up in the dishwasher just fine, but it is a little tricky to rinse off due to its shape, but I don't think that can be avoided.Kitchenaid routinely offers great quality for affordable prices, and this is no exception.
