This NSF rated Kitchenaid/Whirlpool (parent corporation) spiral dough hook, along with both NSF rated wire whisk and flat beater/paddle, are heavy-weighted, solid, Commercial-duty products, far better than the standard, coated Kitchenaid attachments supplied. They are exactly what I wanted for my home-use Kitchenaid 7 Quart Refurbished Mixer. This spiral dough hook/mixer combination overpowers my stiff bread doughs.

Bought this when the dough hook that came with our pro mixer got stuck on the shaft (had to use a heat gun to get it off). Figured the stainless one would be machined better but nope, couldn’t even put it on. Returned it.

I'm new to Everything Kitchens and new to baking in general. As I searched for a dough hook to replace the ugly aluminum one my 6 quart mixer came with, I read a reviewer that mentioned it fit the 6 quart. I'm glad I took the chance - although my plan is to get the 7 quart in the near future. The dough seems to come out so much nicer. LOL and this thing is heavy and makes me feel like a pro baker. A great investment for my kitchen.

The optional SS dough hook for the Commercial 6.7 mixer is great. SS304 Stainless means easier cleaning and better hygiene than the powder coated alloy hook that comes standard. Pity it is an extra cost option, and not the standard offer..
Every kitchenaid attachment has chipped. I don't have to worry about that anymore. It is the exact same size as the original hook.
I love my new stainless dough hook. The quality is outstanding and making dough a pleasure. I know this accessory will last a lifetime.
The hook the KitchenAid came with out of the box would start chip in its coating and it worried me it would get into the bread I make. This stainless steel hook not only is gorgeous, knead in my opinion better (it's a lot more hefty) but also it leaves nothing in the food. Great product!
Note: I'm using this on my KitchenAid KP2671 - It's an older 6 QT model. This is a little longer and is heavier than the stock D-hook but it fits nicely.I've used this new dough hook several times and am impressed with the increased ability to knead dough. I'd recommend this just keep an eye out for the increased load on the mixer the same as you'd do so for the maximum amount of flour mentioned in the user manual.
I'm giving five stars because the product page product descriptions are quite complete, allowing me to make a well-informed purchasing decision.The product is just as advertised. I had to replace my original dough hook because its coating began to flake off; stainless, in addition to being very sturdy, has no coating to shed.
This thing is heavy duty. My dough is so smooth. Bought it to go on a new 7 qt KA Pro. It can handle the weight of the stainless hook and paddle no problem.
