Maybe a thinner barrel is needed for this type of hair? On my long thick hair it worked beautifully, but the curls definitely got loose by the end of the day and were completely gone by day two. It takes some getting used to! The first time I did it, my hair was still a bit too wet, and didn't dry completely overnight. For long thick wavy hair like mine, some heat is gonna be necessary to either pre-smooth or accelerate drying anyways. With that being said, my hair looked gorgeous after using. Big voluminous curls and lots of body. Cute tool but definitely not for all hair types and not as simple as you'd hope.

The rod itself is a bit stiff and does push your hair out, which can be uncomfortable, but it helps to enhance volume for the finished look. I use the Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set on dry hair and kind of braid it into my hair, alternating strands from the front and back, and adding in more hair each go around. I like to bind the two sides together behind my back so it is more comfortable to sleep in. The Kitsch Heatless Curling Set stays in overnight, and in the morning all I have to do is take it out for beautiful hair! I do run my fingers through my hair to separate the curl clumps and create less of a structured look. Besides the comfort aspect, the only other complaint I have is length. I have very long hair and the Kitsch Heatless Curling Set is a bit too short, so I have to try to make do by wrapping the last few inches of my hair around already wrapped strands a few times. This gets more difficult as my hair grows, so I definitely wish the rod was longer. Overall, for the low price this product is such a great investment and I will continue to use it multiple times a week!

Best curls no heat or stress
5 February 2023

I have problems with hair curlers due to reach so I used to use a dressing gown belt so when these come out I was so happy! Literally takes ten minutes tops to do & you leave in overnight. Best to use on damp hair not too wet. The curls are phenomenal one tweak I suggest to kitch is to make a longer version as I have to use two as my hairs touching my backside. There’s not enough length in just one so have to bobble both together that’s just a thought as I think sakes would generate more for the longer hair user. Other than that a genius invention. No heat no stress easy for those unable to curl hair due to reach issues & the curls actually stay in for ages. Thanks LF for such fab products & delivery & kitch just a thought - maybe a longer one please

This saves me so much time styling my long thick hair and I LOVE that I can accomplish a glam look without applying heat to my hair. I have naturally wavy-curly hair and I'd be skeptical of negative reviews, especially the ones that say their hair didn't dry. There is a learning curve. I've failed a few times but am confident on how to use it now. Watch some YouTube tutorials if that's helpful. Your hair cannot be too wet when you apply this. I've failed multiple times by not letting my hair dry enough. It should be just barely damp, like when touching your hair feels mostly dry but is a bit cold feeling. That's how you'll get the ideal results. My hair has no problem holding a curl, but it's prone to frizziness and breakage. I quit curling and flat irons to avoid heat damage and before I bought this I only styled my hair with a dyson airwrap, which takes me around 45-60 minutes. Now I only use the dyson when I'm short on time and didn't plan in advance to wash my hair and sleep with this thing on the night before. The total time I spend on my hair is only 5 minutes which is a game changer. With dry shampoo, my hairstyle lasts 5 days or more when I use this.Btw, the learning curve is nowhere near as difficult as learning how to use the dyson airwrap well...If you can do that this will be a breeze in comparison.

I was skeptical about this, but since the price point wasn't bad, I thought I'd give it a try. I have frizz probe hair and adding heat in the summer to my hair just to tame it isn't healthy for my hair nor do I want to spend that time. I'm currently pregnant and just want to make things easier for my getting ready routine without looking like I just got up and out on a Mombun every time. I watched a few videos before buying this to see if I can even figure out how to do it. I have a lot of hair and I toss and turn in my sleep. I almost wore a sleep turban too to keep it in tact, but decided to try without it first. I can't French braid for the life of me, not someone else's hair and def not on myself. But this wasn't hard to do, just got to pick up hair once you go ... MoreI was skeptical about this, but since the price point wasn't bad, I thought I'd give it a try. I did this on like 98% dry hair and took it off the next morning and my hair was sooo curly and voluminous. I still had some frizz but something I'll figure out how to manage. Give it a try!!

i have pretty straight hair. Curling irons don't hold/keep a curl. So, I would be surprised to see if this even worked....... I've used this twice now, and the first time, I wound my hair too tight around the band, so I woke up with almost like a frizz perm. Haha. I ended up putting my hair into a ponytail that day, and it had tons of volume!!! But definitely frizzy, and looked a mess. It also lost a lot of the curl by the end of the day, but still remained frizzy. The second time I used it, I made sure my hair was a little less wet, and I blew dry it a little before wrapping it around the curler. I wrapped looser, so as to prevent super curls. It was better than the first time, but again, I still need some more practice. Just okay -- curlers slip out of my fine hair; fabric is so-so & snaps are difficult to use
11 February 2022

I have a couple of silk heatless curlers that I like to use and work nicely with my long, baby fine hair, but they don't stay in place all that well, and I feel as if I am continually adjusting them. One is just a long cylinder that requires a large clip to anchor it at the midline and the other is the segmented type with a flat part between the two cylinders, and I use two smaller clips to anchor the flat portion near each temple. Apparently if I had thick enough hair, I would be able to remove the clips once I had my hair rolled, up. But in my case, the roller slides out of my hair if allowed to move around. I thought these shorter individual rods might work better. Apparently if I had thick enough hair, I would be able to remove the clips once I had my hair rolled, up. But in my case, the roller slides out of my hair if allowed to move around. I thought these shorter individual rods might work better. The fabric is a satin polyester so these curlers are not as soft, smooth and luxurious feeling as my silk curlers. They also don't allow my hair to dry as quickly. The fabric is white with grey marbling + just a hint of pink which I don't find very attractive. In fact, I initially thought the curlers were dirty! (of course, they are not). The core is a foam rod. The curlers are closed with a snap and I guess it is just me, since no-one else has mentioned it, but I had a heck of a time getting them undone, even with the little fabric tabs to help. One or two curlers were easy to open, but the others were so tight I didn't think I would ever get them apart. I had to get help to get one of them out of my hair. I tried snapping and unsnapping each curler several times hoping to loosen them up, but that didn't really work. The curlers don't stay in my hair very well, even when linked together, but that is probably due to how thin and fine my hair really is. I rolled my just slightly damp hair and they are comfortable enough to sleep in, but they moved down so much that the curls were just in the lower half of the length of my hair. The curled part of my hair was not completely dry, but once I removed the curlers it dried in just a few minutes and the curls were very nice and lasted through the day (with finger combing only and some hairspray as my hair takes a curl readily but doesn't hold it). These might work better for someone with thicker hair than mine (and stronger fingers). The fabric is not of the best quality, and is fairly coarse, but the rollers are decently made with straight seams, and although plastic, the snaps are holding up well. There are a few loose threads here and there. The curlers arrived nicely packaged and there are some instructions and hints for use on the back. The current price of $14.00 seems a bit high for what they are.

I’m am half Vietnamese and half white, and depending on the humidity and time of year my hair really fluctuates between very flat and straight, to wavy and fluffy. When my hair is straight, it’s much harder to apply this and get it to stay. I find the clip I put at the top to make sure the rod stays in place moves around too easily and sometimes falls to the back or front of my head. However, when my hair is on the curly sided, I have less of a problem with this. I’ve tried leaving it in overnight several times now, and sometimes I’ll get amazing curls on both sides, and sometimes my hair will come loose on one side and not look great. I think if you really take your time and very neatly wrap your hair around each side and make sure each side is super secure (may help to add more hair bands farther up), then it works much better. I’ve found it also helps to pair this with a hair bonnet; the clip at the top even stays up better when placed outside the bonnet. It’s not the most comfortable to sleep in but certainly better than rollers! For the price, I think it works pretty well, and I would recommend this product :)

Wow!! So impressive

I was really kinda skeptical about whether this would work for my poker straight, fine hair. Using heat, I usually have to crank up to the highest setting, use a ton of products and pray it holds. Usually it’s flat in a couple hours. I bought this set at Ulta after seeing the reviews and I was so pleasantly surprised! It took some trial and error to get it perfect, especially on wrapping the ends— I kept getting it wrong and getting ***** ends. But I got that worked out and now it looks great. The curls look amazing and hold for days! I wrap my hair slightly damp and sleep in it with a satin bonnet. The results are amazing. This is such a time saver and it’s totally saving me from all the damage of flat irons and curling irons.
