Instead it has simple and straightforward claims of balancing the ph, providing deep hydration, and prepping the skin for your serums without causing irritation. And it does that beautifully! I have dry eczema prone skin while also living in a dry desert climate, and it just drinks this stuff up! I drench my face in it every night, and it's like a powder punch of hydration to the face. And even more surprisingly, you don't need a massive amount.It has a consistency somewhere between a true liquid, and a gel type serum. Like a thick kind of water. Because it's so thin, but full of body, you only need a quarter sized amount for your face, neck, and décolletage. And with a bottle that holds more than 6 fl.oz. That's going to last you quite a while. Even if you use it morning and night.If you're oily, or even combo leaning oily, this might be too much for you. But if you're normal to dry, especially if you have sensitive/reactive skin, or you live in a very dry or arid climate, then this could become your next skincare staple. Probably not a holy grail, but an essential that makes your skincare routine that much better. I certainly know that it's become a staple for me.

This is a great toner for sensitive skin types or people that don't like fragrance in their skincare. It contains beta-glucan, hyaluronic acid, and centella asiatica. It's a very hydrating toner. I like adding a few splashes to the palm of my hands and patting it into my skin. I can add a few layers depending on how dry my skin feels. This is one of my favorite toners and I've repurchased. I received "The Body Retinol" complimentary from Necessaire. This is a fragrance-free repair serum that contains 0.1% retinol, 10% AHA, peptides, and glycerin. It provides moisture, nutrition from a wonderful ingredients list, and has never irritated my skin after years of use. The consistency is a little more viscous and less watery but it absorbs easily and has a noticeable plumping effect on my dull, dry skin. I really appreciate some of the key ingredients incl. centella asiatica, licorice (great for calming irritated skin), aloe, and sodium hyaluronate (moisturizing). As someone whose skin is irritated by niacinamide, I'm so grateful this doesn't have it. I love that the company decided to offer this unscented version of their toner for people like me with very sensitive skin!
