You’ll also need to remove the grills to take out the protective foam, which is easy given they’re using magnets to attach.Near the bottom of the rear of the speaker you’ll notice two speaker connections. One is for the main speaker connection, and the other is for the “height” speakers which you’ll generally need for a Dolby Atmos setup. Near the top of the rear of the speaker is a small rubber plug which will reveal the connections for the height speakers to use.Overall, when paired with the rest of the Reference Series, you’ll get full clear distinct sound. I was impressed with the overall design, the height connectivity, and the ease of installing the bottom feet. The instructions are clear about being careful during the screw install, as you may over-tighten and break one off (I did). Thankfully, it was an easy fix, as the screw head broke early in the process. Seeing as I was using the Atmos compatible reference height speakers, I did have to use the height connections.Overall, I’m really impressed with the sound from the speakers, and it’s been a wonderful upgrade to my home theater set up.

These are a great pair of standing speakers. You can tell the quality of the construction, they're heavy (not that much, but I'm 5.5' and I needed help moving them around) and sturdy. They have Klipsch new 90x90 Tractrix horn technology that delivers the cleanest sound. They cabinet is made with a textured wood (black) and they say its scratch resistant, which is true, I scratched one of them while moving them around and although it left a mark, just by rubbing it with my fingers it went away. Of course, still be careful with them. Then on the top there are some plugs so you can plug those atmos speakers on top, very clever design. It has a couple of spun copper woofers and an aluminum tweeter on top, the sound quality is amazing and they can handle a freq response from 38 hz to 21khz, so they can definitely handle lows (of course better if you have a woofer) but they won't disappoint you on that department. They included some nice standing feet (required) were the speakers seat on. I've never had front standing speakers these size before and I'm regretting I never did so, what a difference! Highly recommend them, apart from your woofer handling lows, these have some nice bass and will blow you away! Check my pics so you can see the connectors on the back, support bare wire and banana plugs. They're heavy so have someone to help you move these around!

After the speakers are connected, they can lay flat on top of the tower, then you can use the extra bottom speaker terminals to connect the speaker wire to the receiver. This makes it easier to connect speakers and helps eliminate wire clutter. Even without the height speakers connected, the towers do a great job of providing that simulated surround sound effect. They sound amazing!Another great feature that I love is the magnetic removable grill. I personally like to keep the grill off because the way the speakers look with the coper tones. They look very elegant and classy. The back of the speakers have 2 different wire terminals located at the bottom, one for the tower, and the optional height speakers (if connected).I used the speakers for both music and movie experiences. The towers work great with playing music, everything is so detailed and clear that I can hear every instrument being used in the track. The bass also hits hard and smooth, no rattling, just very smooth and deep. Movies sound just as good. As I mentioned before, they do an excellent job at simulating surround sound that you would think there is a 5.1 attached with just 2 towers connected. The towers do a great job at separating vocals, music and bass, and giving each of them their own distinct level. This is what really distinguishes them from other speakers.Overall, I am in love with the Klipsch Reverence 600F tower speakers. I think these are some of the best sounding towers I’ve heard yet. The Dolby Atoms features, the magnetic grill, the elegant look and the amazing sound - make these a great set of towers. I would recommend these to anyone looking to buy a new home theater setup.

However, I can say that I am looking forward to getting a ton of use out of this speaker, for my space this fits well and does not disappoint regardless of the media I consume!

Great Sound and Built-in Atmos Connections

Wow! These speakers…. Just wow. I love the sound of these speakers.Klipsch outdid themselves with the R-600F series of floor standing speakers. These speakers sound amazing. To my ears, this system is perfectly balanced. The entire experience has been superior to many movie theaters. It sounds amazing and I love every piece of this system.Out of the box, there is some assembly required to mount the stands to the base of the speakers. The speakers come with two stands for each speaker. Each stand lines up with four pre-drilled holes on the bottom of the speaker. You will need to screw in two screws per stand piece to secure the stands to the bottom of the speaker. This was really my only hitch with these speakers. The pre-drilled holes didn’t work that well. I had one screw break. Luckily, I had a replacement on hand. With every other element of these speakers feeling so polished, it was a bit disappointing having issues with screwing in a simple stand.Cable management was clearly on Klipsch’s mind when they designed the R-600F. At the back of the speaker, you have two sets of gold-plated binding posts. One set is for your height speakers and the other is for the main left and right connections. If you are pairing the R-600F with the R-40SA heigh speakers, you can then plug the “jumper cables” included with the R-40SA speakers into the top ports of the R-600F speaker. It’s a great system as it keeps your main speaker wires concealed towards the bottom of the R-600F speaker. There is enough bass coming from these speakers, you could even do away with a subwoofer if you absolutely wanted to. These speakers could shake the walls all by themselves. But, at the same time, music and movies had excellent midrange and high reproduction. I never noticed any distortions. Details were rich and these speakers filled the room with sound.I don’t think you can go wrong with these speakers as a part of your home theater package. Be prepared for some minor assembly. If you’re on the fence or trying to decide on your next floor speaker, I highly recommend the R-600F from Klipsch. 5/5

Great speakers!
28 February 2023

I got these on sale for about $100 less than retail.I didn't think there would be a major difference between these and my Definitive Technology ProCenter 800's.I was completely wrong. These are a major upgrade over those smaller bookshelf speakers. The sound is so much fuller & I can hear more of it; sounds I wasn't hearing before from the same programs. There's a noticeable bass improvement as well. Not enough to pass on a subwoofer, but plenty for an apartment setting. The only thing I hate is that I know that I'm going to be tempted to buy the additional Atmos speakers, even though I don't really need them. :)Definitely worth the money if you want to spend a little bit on a sound system.

I bought a pair of these about a week ago. I am so happy with them after pairing with my new Sonos Amp. I honestly don't need a subwoofer because the bass is just phenomenal but I may add one at a later date to round out the sound. The speakers themselves were delivered without damage and got to my house in a good amount of time. They have an industrial kind of look that I really like. You are required to put the feet on them yourself which made me nervous because I read some reviews about the screw heads snapping off. I personally had no issue but be sure to not over tighten and carefully screw the legs in slowly without a power tool. I've read good things about Klipsch speakers but have never owned any. I purchased a pair of Klipsch R-600 F II series floor speakers in December 2022, on SALE from Best Buy, as an upgrade to replace the two Pioneer SP-FS52 floor speakers that I had in my 7:1 Home theater system. My system is currently powered by a Pioneer Elite VSX-LX101 receiver, and consists of a LG OLED TV and a Pioneer Ultra HD Blue Ray Player.DP-UB820-K. The Klipsch Reference floor speakers are 8 ohm vs the Pioneer which are 6 ohm and therefore more efficient. In addition they produce a bit more clarity, as well as more bass than the Pioneer speakers. The Klipsch speakers are two way speakers and were designed to handle up to a peak of 400 watts vs the Pioneer Speakers which are 3 way speakers and were designed to handle a maximum input of 130 watts. The Pioneer Speakers were designed by Andrew Jones and have received numerous positive reviews for their overall performance. The Klipsch R-600-F II specification sheet states that their binding posts are GOLD plated, however they are in fact aluminum NOT GOLD plated, the inputs for the Dolby Atmos add on speakers are also aluminum. I found the overall cabinet finish and application of the woodgrain vinyl on my Pioneer SP-FS52 speakers to be superior to the cabinet finish and application of the wood grain vinyl on my Klipsch Reference series Speakers and equal to the overall cabinet finish of my Reference Premier RP-500-CII speaker which retailed for $499.00. The feet which were provided for customer installation with the Klipsch Reference floor speakers were rather flimsy and made of plastic! Not what one would expect considering their suggested retail price of $499.00 each. That said, I have no doubt that the quality of the components, speakers and tweeters used in the construction of the R-600-F II speakers by Klipsch were superior to those used in the Pioneer speakers, but I personally was somewhat disappointed in the finish quality of the Klipsch cabinets and the misrepresentation in their specification sheet. On the other hand I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the Pioneer by Andrew Jones Speakers which cost significantly less money. I do however, very much like the additional inputs on the Klipsch Reference Speakers for my Dolby Atmos add on Speakers which serve to reduce clutter. The attached photographs are pictures of the Pioneer SP-FS52 for comparison.

Perfect sound on my vintage stereo!
22 December 2022

I have vintage Marantz stereo 7T Pre-amp and 170DC amp around 85 Watts and running a Marantz 6300 turntable and Akai reel to reel. These are used for my stereo only I do not watch TV period. I needed new speakers did a lot of research, e-mailed support at klipsch for help they said would work but could use more power - They were very helpful! - lol not giving up my stereo. So I figured I would try the R600-F after more research. All I can say I'm sure glad I bought these speakers the highs are phenomenal and there is just enough base. What a beautiful warm sound I made the right decision. My music chair is like 12' away about 10pm dark out no lights on except stereo. eyes closed Pink Floyd album playing sounds like I'm in the front row of that concert!Oh they ... MoreI have vintage Marantz stereo 7T Pre-amp and 170DC amp around 85 Watts and running a Marantz 6300 turntable and Akai reel to reel. Worth the investment

Can’t go wrong with these Klipsch floor speakers in my opinion. The speakers have a phenomenal clean, crisp sound that you would expect from Klipsch. The sleek and slim design of the speakers looks great and fits in tight spaces. The bass on these speakers are relatively good and you could get by without a subwoofer if deep, booming base isn’t your thing. My current Klipsch 125-watt floor speakers are 20 years old and still works and sounds just as good as the day I bought it! It goes to show just how good the durability and quality of their speakers are. I wanted to upgrade to the more powerful 400-watt floor speakers and they didn’t disappoint. Very pleased and expect they will last a long time.
