Klipsch RP-5000F II Floorstanding Speakers - Black
The Klipsch DNA, the hybrid Tractrix horn. The patented Tractrix geometry provides the most efficient transmission of high frequency waves into the listening area. The phase plug and compressed, moulded silicone surface provide a smooth frequency response. This combination produces the cleanest, most natural sound available. The second generation Reference Premiere enlarges the horn for a wider soundstage and improved directivity. Upgrading to Dolby Atmos is easy thanks to the simple and hidden connections located on the back of the speakers. These clever connections reduce the amount of cables and keep them in place for better cable management. Two input terminals for bi-wiring/biamping capability. Bi-wiring separates high and low frequency power in separate speaker cables, reducing intermodulation distortion for a clearer midrange. Bi-amping allows customisation with external crossovers when using separate amplifiers. Equipped with audiophile-grade terminal and easy-access aluminium binding posts for each type of connection. Finishes include ebony and walnut vinyl with satin baffles and scratch-resistant finish.

These are really nice speakers for great sound from all sources. They are good looking in walnut. They have a simple Colonial furniture look. Reference Speakers are all similar in design. I wouldn't expect great sound differences between them if they are matched to the size of the room they are matched to play in. I chose the 5000 model because I have a medium size room. I thought the 6000 and up would overpower my listening space for them and the 4000 would be a good den speaker. This speaker design gives the advantage of two woofers, a larger floor standing cabinet, with the same available space that could be allotted to two bookshelf speakers on a stand. I am using these as a stereo with an excellent Yamaha 500 receiver.

I have known about Klipsch speakers for decades and know they are premium quality speakers but never owned them myself. So when my Paradigm speakers I had for 20 years finally quit I decided I would go with klipsch. When I took these out of the box and turned them on i was blown away at how great they sound! Just amazing! so crystal clear and effortless sound. Even the bass they produce is almost enough on their own. But get the sub-woofer anyway. For a music lover on a budget, I made the right choice when i bought these. I am glad the paradigm's are gone!

Returned my BAR48 which had some major issues and finally settled with these beauts! Let me tell you one thing. I have tried many speakers, Jbl, bose, creative, polk etc there is something that RP5000 has that will make you keep coming back to this pair. They are an absolute delight to listen and sing all the. I found my hearing notes at another level. Be it at low or high volumes they are crisp and clean, and have sufficient bass for my 15*40 ft hall paired with a denon X2600H, rp400c and r41m. Zero muddle!! And they look beautiful with the copper lining and tractrix horn. The aesthetic essence is top notch. Go for these without even thinking twice unless you want thx setup which is separate league in its own. Definitely "Keepers of Sound" ❤️ they are perfect even ... I'd settled for OK sound for years, but after receiving a solid Denon AVR as a gift, and knowing my old speakers just wouldn't cut it, a bunch of research led me to the RP-5000. I trusted the reviews but still feel like I gambled on these. I matched the speakers to my living room (15 x 20) and I've finally found the sound I have been chasing. Paired with a RP-500 cencenter and 12-inch Klipsch sub, I already have the sound I wanted out of the box. I was a little concerned these would be a bit bright, but they are perfect for my music tastes ... The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, Coldplay. I am disappointed that I waited so long to buy a quality setup, but now I'm ecstatic to finally listen to music the way it was meant to be heard. As amazing as these floor stand ... I am disappointed that I waited so long to buy a quality setup, but now I'm ecstatic to finally listen to music the way it was meant to be heard. As amazing as these floor stand speakers are, the center brings it to life while the sub gives the low wave bass that I crave. But even without the sub, the RP-5000 give the resonance and sound I've been missing. A bit of an extravagant purchase for me, but easily the best one I've made in years.
Big sound can also come in smaller size. This RP-5000F is smaller compared to the 6000F and 8000F. But with the size of my living room and the media center, it just fits perfectly. So far so good with the sound and quality. I'm really liking the walnut vinyl veneer as it blends in with my vintage equipment. The Klipsch RP-5000F's clear and dynamic sound is a perfect combo with the warm vintage sound of the Kenwood KR-6060 receiver. It balances the tone and clarity of the sound while providing enough bass even without a subwoofer. All in all i'm very satisfied. Kudos to World Wide Stereo for the fast shipment and excellent customer support! Been a repeat customer of World Wide Stereo!
I Finally Upgraded From my Klipsch Rf 52II Towers that were 10 years old and it made a huge difference day and night, I am Running a Marantz cinema 50 with external emotiva amp pumping 150 watts per channel thru these speakers at a -40 on the volume control.please disregard all these negative reviews about being Mediocre because you must invest in a good Amplifier with external amps will be a Win win for your Hometheater system! Excellent I would highly Recommend!
Adequate but bland and a little disappointing. I bought them based on the hundreds of stellar reviews, yet I find them to sound a little dull, muddled, lacking in clarity, and not a very rich sound. I probably should have listened to them in the store first, because if I did, I definitely wouldn't have bought them. `
I am now using these RP-5000F towers as side surrounds. My LCR are RP-6000Fs along with the RP-504C. I have two sets of RP-500SA as front and rear heights.Having all of your woofers relatively the same size seems to be advantageous for object tracking and sound panning within the room. These are very capable speakers, you can use them in a 2.0 system, as main Left and Right, or as surrounds.
I have two of these, the r-41SA atmos speakers sitting on top of them, an rp-500C center, and 2 R-100 subs. The floor stands crush it. you might as well be in the theater. the Titanium tweeters make listening to dubstep an absolute treat as well. It could hurt my ears if i'm not careful. Haven't had to write that in a review before. the lows on these floorstands LITERALLY blow my curtains back when they hit. Along with the subs, the back of my theater system is an interactive environment lol.I highly recommend a full Klipsch system, and definitely these speakers. Just make sure you have a receiver that can push AT LEAST 90W. the specs says the minimum is 100W so don't go below the denon AVR-S960H.
Truthfully, for me they work well as surround speakers. The front speakers amusing RP-160Ms ends have a much larger horn and therefore a much bigger voice than the RP 5000F. these guys have enough power to act as good surround fill speakers. I don't think I'd want them as front channels, many Klipsch speakers are more full throated and powerful, but they really do well in surround. I still use a Heresy II as a centre channel for all my RP stuff, I think I prefer the kg and Heritage designs. Honestly with the RP* stuff I'dbgo with ANYTHING WITh the 6 OR 8 INCH WOOFER BECAUSE THE CORRESPONDING LTS horn lenses are larger
