Cuts extremely well for its size. This is my second one, bought the first plier like 5 years ago and still cuts as well as the new one. Bought a second pair just in case I lose the first pair.

Best Adjustable Pliers/Wrench

Knipex adjustable wrenches are without a doubt the best adjustable wrenches on the market.I hed off buying them because they are more expensive than other comparable wrenches. For general grasping purposes this plier runs from no better than to not as good as regular slip-joint pliers but for working with wire, steel wire in particular, this is a great tool. Their real place, is work with steel fencing wire (up to about 14 gauge steel), safety wires, making things with wire, or bundling things with wire these beat lesser pliers hands down.

German Steel!

I bought these exact pair of pliers from the Ace hardware next to safeway on 48 th st. In the 602. Had them probably 15 years and then left em at some customers house. I then several times went to replace them but because they were unavailable most stores i was shopping then i had to settle for less(I tried klien and other knipex linesman which are both high quality tools) i found them online 25 years later and bought them. Great upgrade

After years of owning cheap pliers and cutters I decided to get some better quality tools. Craftsman used to be good channelocks are better and knipex are IMHO top knotch. These knipex are light, strong and have a small footprint to access tight areas. These reek of quality. Hard sharp teeth and a precise cutter. Very happy with all of the knipex products I have purchased and the list has been growing steadily. Lol😉

Bought the heavier duty 9 Knipex linemans w/ red/blue handle, fish tape puller, and crimper, found for less than $50, free shipping. Seriously doubt Ill ever go back to Klein for linemans even though they are still good but everyone says their quality has dropped. Fried that Knipex tool (ASSumed circuit was dead while demoing MC) and opted for this basic 9 model and am super, super pleased. Never really had need for the crimper or tape puller but I still have the fried pair just in case. You wont get the wacking ummph out of these that youll get from the usual size of linemans, and you dont have as much surface area for twisting your wires so that could be annoying for some and a total deal breaker. Wish I'd have discovered these a while ago

These are sort of combination linesman's pliers and slip joint pliers. Real good for twisting wire, before insertion into wire nut. Also good for grabbing wire or conduit. High quality and very handy at a reasonable price
