I had this Knipex bolt cutter for a long time. After a friend got a hook in his finger last month. They could not cut the hook with the regular plier. I introduced the Knipex. Now everyone has asked me to buy one for them. It cut any hook size like toothpick. It is a must tool in the offshore tackle box. About order a third one for another friend.

I saw these wire cutters online as I lost my Bahco cutters and thought I'd give them a go. They are a high quality German tool and we'll thought out. They are comfortable to grip, easy to use and the spring means they're ready for the next cut. They fit well in my hand and aren't heavy so will suit for extended fencing jobs. My knuckles are getting gnarly these days so these are ideal. I would highly recommend them.

I need to cut off some nails that came trough the roof in my attic. I tried a 7" pair of Kobalt End Cutting Pliers from Lowes and an 8" pair of metal cutters from Home Depot. Neither would do the job, even when gripping with two hand - they wouldn't wok. The KNIPEX tool worked fine using one hand. One of the best quality tools I've ever owned! Yes, they aren't cheap, but they work - you get what you pay for.

Bought to clip some very sturdy downlight legs so we could remove without damage. These clippers are sturdy, easy to use, well made and have an excellent guarantee policy.
I had knock off cutters that look like these, but it still took a lot of effort to cut 6 gauge copper wire for bonsai. It wasn't until I started unwiring trees that I realized how much I'd be using wire cutters. I decided to stop being cheap and buy a wire cutter and man am I happy. It's like cutting 12 gauge. So effortless. As usual being cheap just ends up costing me more money because now I have an obsolete wire cutter. I keep that cheapo out in the garage for impromptu work and keep these bad boys in the tool pouch when it's time to get serious.
I was a little leery about spending this much money on a little bolt cutter, but it met my needs and worked VERY well. I spent the afternoon cutting through aa ton of barbed wire. I must have made 500 cuts. My hand wore out before the cutter did. I've decided it was worth it. The only thing that would have made it better, was if I had spent the extra money to get the one with the spring to open it automatically.
Incredibly effective. A somewhat soft steel nail barely feels, a hardened steel rod requires *a little* effort... On the other hand, it is expensive. Probably effective for a very long time but expensive.
I’ve built miles of hi tensile fence over my career, these were a great discovery back in 2001 or so. I’ve onLy used for straight cuts on appropriately sized wire, 11 ga I think, cuts effortlessly. Lasts forever under these conditions, the ones buried in grass or cow pies not so much. If you ever struggle with hand strength when cutting wire, buy these. If you cut wire all day long, buy these. Or one of the knipex models.
These are the best bolt cutters on the market. Highly recommend this recessed version over the standard because it makes cutting actual circular material significantly easier. These things cut through most nails, screws, and chain links with easy.#sweepstakes
This is by far the best pair of cutters on the market. If you can get it in its jaws it will cut it. Knipex may not be USA made but the quality and construction are on par or superior to anything made domestically. Worth every cent. This is the second pair of these that I have owned, the first was the normal set, the second was this one with the ergonomic grip which I find much more comfortable to use for extended periods of use. You should definitely get a pair of these. And check out their other products. I'd give 7 stars if I could.
