Best wrench/pliers you could ever own! 50-60$ may seem a little steep but you definitely get what you pay for. Its like having a mini portable vise that you can take anywhere that adjust to anything. And if you have a hobby of your own then you'll definitely find a use for these. Buy em

I have several sizes of these pliers that I used working on aircraft. They are really great to disassemble the "B" nuts on hydraulic lines. The jaws are flat and close parallel to each other and will not mar the nut. The more pressure on the handles, the tighter the jaws will close on the nut. Also since the jaws close parallel, they are great for pressing in bearings, bushings, and sleeves into fittings.

I love Knipex tools and have been trying to find an excuse to get more. When I had to replace the faucet in the bathroom I figured now is a good time. I used to just put tape over the jaws of my pliers to keep from damaging the chrome on soft brass fittings but I usually ended up scratching some of them. These have a smooth clamping surface and the jaws stay parallel as they clamp. I was able to tighten all of the fittings with ease and for the first time no damage to the chrome! I also love the adjuster button to set the jaw width, once you set it it stays where you put it unlike older style adjustable pliers.

Its a Excellent tool! Love the grip these suckers can put down on a bolt. And the quality is second to none! Absolutely an exceptional pair of pliers! Highly recommend!
KNIPEX 7-1/4 in. Pliers Wrench with Dual-Component Comfort Grips and Tether Attachment is a unique design. Its quality is obvious when you pick it up. They've added thicker cushioned handles on this one and a tether ring for those who need it. The advantage of their design is that it operates unlike other wrenches in your tool box with this one having a ratchet like action. This is achieved with a button that can lock the depth of the jaw more easily than other wrenches. It then can be adjusted around the nut and the ratchet like action comes from backing off smoothly on the fastener and then tightening down going forward again and repeating. The other unique feature is it has a cam instead of a fixed point holding the two sides of the jaws and handles. As you tighten down it keeps the jaws parallel in contact with the fastener which doesn't happen with other common wrench designs. This transfers more force to the nut and less likely to slip. The jaws are smooth which is ideal for plumbing where polished nuts aren't marred. Its obviously a high end tool, expensive, but for those who need it, worth having one around for those jobs. I know I'll be reaching for it often, now that I've tried it out.
I’ve used a crescent for years but no longer. These are lighter and easier when dealing with fittings on angle stops and other finished nuts that you don’t want plier marks on.
These are a typically high quality German tools. The jaws are always parallel and have no teeth so they are good for chromed or finished nuts that would look bad if they have plier tooth marks. They are very expensive but work well if you need these features. The opening adjustment takes some getting used to and will generally take a few tries to get the right jaw opening.
These are amazing. Knipex makes a very fine tool and this is no exception. Take your crescent wrench and throw it away because this is WAY more useful. Adding positive pressure to your grip and twist makes these pliers extremely useful and versatile. Handles most imperial and metric sizes, everytime I need this tool I'm so happy I have it. Really well made, would highly recommend for every toolbox.
This is a well built and cleverly designed tool. Never seen anything like it. The jaws are smooth and stay parallel like a crescent wrench, so unlike a channel locks won’t bite into what you are turning. It’s thus deal for nuts, bolts and pipe fittings. Also very easy to adjust the size. I looked all over for a better price but couldn’t beat HD on this. Delivery was fast. It's really “neat”.
at the minute I unwrapped this, I happened to be removing a faucet aerator, which had very thin flats. I don’t have another thin adjustable wrench - this is the only thing that would have worked.
