Best gift for myself!
The KODAK PIXPRO AZ528 Astro Zoom Camera is a great little camera. I must say, It's been a while since I've seen a solid camera that is easy to point and shoot. It's comfortable on the grip and lightweight. So light that my son of about 6 years of age is holding it with ease. It's not bulky like many other kinds of cameras around this pixel quality. I love how easy it is to select different modes and the cam and the video button is conveniently located with a click of my thumb for those quick precious video moments. I am surprised at how rich the display on the camera looks. The lens is average and takes pictures of any kind from macros to portraits to different landscapes. It's a very simple, user friendly, point and shoot camera. I will say the macro function is a ... MoreThe KODAK PIXPRO AZ528 Astro Zoom Camera is a great little camera. It's a very simple, user friendly, point and shoot camera. I will say the macro function is a bit low quality in the resolution and that's something I would suggest improvement on but that's also because of the average lens. The flash works well and the pictures turned out well. It saves quickly on the sd card I have and non-issue transferring it to a laptop. I've also discovered there are several apps to use to get more out of this camera. In addition, having to model over 10 years, shortly after that I discovered a new interest in taking pictures of my kids, nature, and the beauty of nature and animals. I love learning new skills using this awesome camera. The camera itself also looks very stylish and modern. I love the color of the case itself. The manual mode works well for quick aperture adjustment and different iso modes.... Show more

Didn't Work
This is a nice looking camera, has great weight and feel, however, I have not been able to use the camera to see how it takes photos. Everything was included in the box, a SD card, battery, (very short) charging cable, etc.Plugged the camera in and allowed it to charge two hours and got ready to take it out to shoot some photos. The camera would not turn on. Checked to make sure the battery was properly installed, plugged it in to charge again for another hour, still not working. Plugged it back in and hit the power button, and it came on, set date and time, language, etc. Unplugged it from the charger, and it immediately shut down. I figured the battery needed longer to charge, left it on to charge all night.Same thing next morning, unplugged it, wouldn't turn ... So I went to the Kodak forums, turns out this is a VERY COMMON issue with the AZ528 battery, they are defective.Contacted customer service via email, receieved a prompt response stating the issues was a battery defect and asked that I send may mailing address so they could send a replacement battery. Sent the information and waited nearly 3 weeks, still no battery, contact Kodak customer service again, they asked I return the camera, explained I was simply waiting on the battery. They apologized, battery was never mailed, they would mail it on Monday (a week ago)Still have not recieved replacement battery for the camera so that I can actually use a camera I have owned for a month now.Highly disappointing product with a known defect.Do not recommend, especially if you are needing the camera for something happening in less than a month.... Good camera for beginners
The Kodak Pix Pro AZ528 Astral Zoom 1080P Wi-Fi Midnight Blue Digital Camera (which looks more black than blue) would make a great gift for beginners, those starting out with photography or for this taking an intro to photography high school or college level course. The picture quality to me is just okay. The definition is not so great. The settings can be changed to try and get an even better quality photo, but it does not make a huge difference. The description says that this camera is 16 mp however, the definition on this Kodak Pix Pro AZ528 Astral Zoom 1080P Wi-Fi Midnight Blue Digital Camera seems more like it is maybe tops 12 mp, if I had to take a guess. It seems to take the same quality pictures as my 5-year-old digital camera. My cellphone seems to take ... My cellphone seems to take better pictures than this Kodak Pix Pro AZ528 Astral Zoom 1080P Wi-Fi Midnight Blue Digital Camera. One thing I do like and I think newbies would like is the fact that it has built in wifi. This made it easy for me to transfer images from the camera straight to my email. The flash on this camera is bright and make photos a little too light for my liking. The nonslip grip makes it easy to hold and not accidentally drop the camera as I was taking tester photos. Overall like I said definitely for beginners, you know those just starting out in photography.... Show more

Great Camera
Of all the cameras I’ve owned this one is by far the most pretty, I love the midnight blue color. That of course is far from the most important thing, quality. I have not owned this long, but so far I’m in love. It’s light weight and has 16MP, 52 X and 1080p Wi-Fi. The camera came with a lens cover and lanyard to attach it, neck strap, battery, and a charge cable with a plug adapter. I do wish the battery charged separately in its own charger like my previous one, but this is in no way a deal breaker. This thing has a ton of features and It’s going to take me a while to get familiar with all of them. The clarity of the photos is amazing, especially when you take a picture of something 4 yards away and it looks like it right there! This speaks wonders of the great ... The clarity of the photos is amazing, especially when you take a picture of something 4 yards away and it looks like it right there! This speaks wonders of the great zoom on this thing. It is Wi-Fi ready which is super convenient in this day and age of technology. I’m super excited to try out the downloadable app so I can use my phone as a remote for it!! It has a dial on top making it easy to switch between different types of scenes to get better effects. You can also adjust the red eye and do other touch ups right from the screen. I took some video of my kids and it turned out wonderful, super clear images every time you shoot a video or a picture. I recommend spending some time reading the manual to familiarize yourself with the settings so you can get the most out of all your options on this thing. It’s an awesome camera all around! I took a picture of a truck that was in a neighbor's yard 4 houses away, it looks like I was right there!... Show more

Great Camera For The Price
I wanted to find a camera with a strong enough zoom lens that would allow me to photograph the moon, but not cost me several hundreds of dollars. My research led me to the Kodak AZ 528 model. This is a bridge camera, meaning a bridge between being a basic point-and-shoot camera and a much more expensive DSLR camera. I'm very happy with my choice. I was a bit hesitant to buy a product that was not brand new (such as an open box model) but since this seller offered a 30-day return, I felt it was safe to give it a try. Other than the box being a little rough around the edges, everything inside the box was like the item was brand new. And this allowed me to save $70 or more. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I'm getting great shots of the moon!... Show more

"Performs quite well for what it is"
First tested an AZ528 out in June and then ended up buying my own for under $70 used in August. My main reasons for using one was to take pics of mostly stationary pictures of scenery, birds and animals while hiking, fishing or hunting. The bad: - The overall sharpness of the images won't be as good a DSLR most of the time. - Lacks the higher ISO setting for taking pics in lower light levels (3200 for this cam). - Can record video, but Imo, that feature isn't very good. - Use of a wireless or wired remote would have been a nicer option to have instead of only through an app with a smartphone. - No tiltable or rotating LCD. I didn't know how much I would have liked having that feature till I used this camera for a while. In bright outdoor light or odd viewing angles ... I didn't know how much I would have liked having that feature till I used this camera for a while. In bright outdoor light or odd viewing angles the fixed LCD is hard to see. The good: - It's a cheaper, lighter and easier to wield option over a DSLR and is still able to obtain some nice pics. - The auto features do an adequate enough job that you don't have to fiddle with other settings if you don't want to. Just turn it on, get your desired zoom level, focus on your subject and snap the pic. - The best thing about this camera: I can take pics near and far without changing lenses to do it. First mistake I made when using this camera wasto take long distance shots of deer at max zoom. Some of them weren't bad but ended up with mostly diminishing returns. After using this camera for awhile I don't take pics beyond it's native zoom of 52X and often stay a bit under that. Use a tripod or brace yourself however you can when taking long distance pics for the best results. When taking pics, take several to increase the odds of getting some good ones because much of the time you don't get a second chance.... Show more

Pixpro AZ 528
I'm giving this camera a 4 star rating. I have to take away a star for the app to transfer the pictures to your phone. Picture quality is as good, maybe even a little better than my Canon Eos T6 DSLR camera. The zoom is outstanding however it does better if you zoom out a little at a time. It takes a little getting used to if you are used to a camera with a viewfinder. The auto focus is usually on point and the image stabilization feature is very good. I've not had any problems up to 40X maybe a little higher. I really like the fact that you don't have to use it as a point and shoot. It has many of the same controls as a DSLR. How ever it does a nice job on automatic. I also like the you can set it for Macro and it has a scene function that you can set to the ... MoreI'm giving this camera a 4 star rating. Smart Purchase
Purchased my AZ528 on July 1, 2021 to replace my now not working EasyShare DX4330. The function of the AZ528 is almost identical to my DX4330, with some added new modes. The only thing I have to get used to is the use of the panel instead of an eye viewer. After one month of use and several hundred photos, I am very satisfied with the camera. I have not mastered all the modes and functions but so far all is working the way I need at this time. This is not a camera for beginners, unless you only use it in Auto-Mode, then it becomes a easy to use point and shoot camera. First time buyers should down-load and read the owners manual. I have read several times, each time to learn about a new or different mode or function.... Show more

SO Easy To Use and Has SO Many Features!
Never ever have I owned such a fantastic camera that not only works unbelievably well, but has some pretty awesome features! The camera is lightweight. Its easy and comfortable to hold. The midnight blue color is gorgeous. A quick set up guide is included in the box with the camera but the main user guide manual is online. If you're a novice as I am when it comes to cameras, I HIGHLY recommend taking the time to download and read the user manual. My first instinct was to figure the camera out as I went along. I quickly nixed that idea once I realized just how many features this camera has. The 3"LCD screen is crystal clear. The zoom lens picks up SO many details in photos that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. With my cell phone camera, I really have to press ... The zoom lens picks up SO many details in photos that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. With my cell phone camera, I really have to press hard on the button for a photo to be taken. I almost fell over when I tried the 6 frames per second continuous shot feature on this camera! click click click click click click...6 pictures in ONE second! Perfect if you're taking action photos. The video feature is fantastic. I cannot wait to use it at special family events. My favorite feature, hands down is the WiFi connectivity. I'm able to upload photos and send them to friends and family quickly and with ease via the PIXPRO app. There are other features on this camera such as the beautifier that I haven't spent much time on yet. This camera is new to me and I'm still familiarizing myself with it. Also included with the camera is a rechargeable Li-ion battery, AC adapter, neck strap (its strong and secure), USB cable, lens cap and the warranty card. I love this camera. I do. The photos + video we take is SO perfect and clear. I'm very much looking forward to continue to use it and get comfortable with all of the wonderful features! There's no doubt about it...this camera is DEFINITELY worthy of gift giving. Whether you're purchasing this for yourself or as a gift, the recipient is going to LOVE it!... Show more

Trash
My husband got me this camera for my birthday. I plugged it to charge and when I took it off it wouldn't power on. I returned the camera back to Walmart for another one. Unfortunately this one has the same issue. As soon as I placed this one on the charger it said that it was 100% charged already. That was a lie! So I called customer service hoping to get some assistance... Well they close at 4 so therefore I'm over it! Thanks Kodak for the trash birthday gift. I will not be exchanging this item for another one. Its trash!!!!!!... Show more
