These paints are absolutely fantastic, definitely artist quality. The set is so convenient and portable. An absolute no brainier as a purchase

I ordered this watercolour set for a fellow ‘artist’ at my art group as she admired my set which I have had for a few years. She was delighted. It is so useful to have as it is so light and compact and has a good range of colours as well as a palette which is the lid!

Handy little travel set, nice range of colours although would need to supplement with others to get complete choice.

Good value

These paints are easy to put in your pocket and go. They are also easy to get colour from and paint without too much scrubbing. My only downside is that they are not labelled as traditional colours so you have to find your way around them first. Make a test page and familiarise yourself with it before you head off with your sketch book. I really like way they're stacked and fasten together, so that they take up very little space. Try them, I think you'll like them.

Koh-I-Noor - Oh Dear

Gritty to use. Does not flow like quality watercolour paints. Pans dry out very quickly.Additonally, when using pencil ontop, the pencil wax-blooms very fast.These paints would suit junior students (Primary School students) in art, but at a stretch.On the upside, good colours to block in and then work hard with your Prismas or Polychromos pencils, provided you burnish down.

Review of Watercolour Disc Set

My kids immediately loved this. The discs were extremely tight ans initially very very hard to separate. Once apart we just don’t t dare tighten them too much or we have to engage someone strong to undo it. The idea of it and the design is very sleek ans efficient and we thing it’s fantastic.

low pigmented and bad dissolve properties

This watercolor are cheap, ok, they have a wide variety of color. that's the good part Bad part is they are not as cheap as it seems, you need double the amount to get same level of pigmentation as other brands like van gogh or cotman, or maybe it's impossible because most of the koh i noor watercolor are not able to dissolve correctly in the water and let a lot of sediment that will give you chalky and low pigmented colors. those watercolor are for children, not for students or artists.
