These really are the world's best dog toy! It's a perfect slow feeder for dogs who bolt their food. It can be used with wet food, dry kibble, or a mixture of both. It is a stimulating, problem solving puzzle for bored dogs, especially high energy dogs that always need something to do. The also work as a nice bouncy ball for fetch. When she gets really frustrated she'll bring to me to give it a good shake to loosen things up if it's packed too tight. So don't just throw your dog the Kong and then wonder why they're not interested. Start easy with loosely packed food and then get harder. You actually have to put a little effort into training your dog how to use the Kong to get the best results. I bought 3 of these (large) for my 10 week old Staffweiler puppy who loves to chew and starts bouncing off the walls at 5:30am every morning. Less than 1 day and the 3 Classic Kongs I ordered have already been a lifesaver. She now takes half an hour to eat a meal instead of 30 seconds and she gets so into the meal that she chases the Kong all over the house, so she's running laps while eating her food. She's usually ready for a nap soon after a meal. If she's not, stuff some peanut butter in the Kong to get her going again and then she'll be tired out for sure. Love it!When looking at sizing options, get at least 1 size larger than you think you need. My pup is a big girl, but at 10 weeks she's still around 20lbs. She loves the large, but gets frustrated with the puppy Kong. I don't recommend much smaller than medium for small dogs. It would be too hard to get the food out. As it is, my pup will probably need XL or XXL by the time she is grown.

I have bought three Kong toys over the years. They last FOREVER! All of my dog loved them! Sometimes they just like to roll it around on the floor and play with it.. even without any treats inside! I have put different types of treats inside…milkbones, smaller chewy treats ( ex.mini bacon strips ), and of course peanut butter!! The Kong entertains for longer when you freeze it with peanut butter or the Kong filling. It’s great to give your pets before going to work or leaving the house for awhile….Keeps them busy!!! Just be sure to only use REGULAR PEANUT BUTTER!!!! NOT SUGAR FREE, because the sweetener is EXTREMELY TOXIC to dogs!!! I wash it by hand after using with any type of treat. Im pretty sure this thing will last forever as long as I can keep it clean! I ... MoreI have bought three Kong toys over the years. They last FOREVER! All of my dog loved them! If you don't have one, I don't know how you survive the puppy days! I have 8 of the various Kong toys in my freezer and give one to my puppy every time I leave the house or need a moment's peace. You can use them as snacks or feed all of their meals in them. There are YouTube videos and online instructions with endless possibilities for filling these. Oatmeal, mashed sweet potatoes, lean beef, carrots, bananas, strawberries, anything that is safe for dogs to eat will work. If you don't have time to freeze it, just put a few treats in and let the puppy work on that. It's one of the only toys I will leave with my puppy when I can't supervise her. She even likes to play with it empty. Just a great toy. Every puppy should have at least one!

I have two dogs, one staffie mix and one lab/shepard mix. Both super crazy chewers, determined to destroy anything and everything. My older dog, the lab/shepard, has the most curious mind. If it was up to him he’d play with puzzle toys all day long, but unfortunately he destroys most of them. Not the Kong though! We’re going in 2 years strong and he hasn’t chewed it up. It’s also his favorite toy by far. We love trying out new ways to stuff it - peanut butter, bananas, yogurt, fruit, treats, and freezing it too! It’s the only toy that keeps him busy for longer than 15 minutes, and it’s a lifesaver when you have a toddler running around at home too. Buyer be aware, my toddler ended up needing his own because he loves it so much too!!
I’ve had nothing but great success thus far with the Kong toys. I watched a video on YouTube on how to use your dogs food. First soak in water until moist, stuff with kibble , and then freeze. You can add a little peanut butter or wet food to get them started. It occupies my pup for a long time. I actually help him towards the middle or end. The youtuber said this will solve 80 % of puppy issues. It teaches them to spend time alone and also stimulates their brain.. I dont give it to my rottie daily, but several times a week. It’s fantastic when I have something I need to do or if I’m in a hurry. Highly recommended to go a size up from what you think you might need if you do this so they can get to it. The smaller the Kong the smaller the opening.
Amazing! Amazing at entertainment for my dog. Love how we can stick big treats in there and keep him busy whenever we have to leave the house. I think it's a must for training your dog. Be sure to replace it whenever there is damage. As I know a friend's dog had a piece of Kong stuck in his intestine and had to get surgery to remove it. So best to keep the toy until you notice any wear or tear. I like how it has multiple sizes and has really good durability.. this is a really good investment for your dog! We have found many creative ways to entertain our husky/German shep/malamute mutt who has high energy and high affinity to treats. 10/10 would recommend. There's also some Kong specific treats you can find meant to fit into the toy to make it very difficult for the dog to remove it. We like that there is a lot of creative ways to use it. We had two on rotation for when our puppy was teething and needed a lot of attention. Frozen treats allowed for the pup to work on the kong. We use it at home mainly but we do bring it over to our friends house when our dog is staying the night because we are out of town. It's just another tool they can use if they find he needs to calm down and focus instead of rambunctious and playing.
You needed a bigger size. Generally, I would recommend sizing up once or twice anyway. The smaller ones are too small and not as thick of material therefore easier for any size dog to tear up. Additionally, if the toy isn’t full of snacks, take it away. Don’t let them chew on the toy itself just as a chew toy. That is another reason why the toy may get damaged. If the dog is focused on getting the snack out, they’ll be much less focused on destructive behaviors and tearing things apart. If you have a puppy, remember they teethe and it HURTS. They self sooth by chewing. Give them things it’s okay to chew on/destroy like Nyla bones (which seriously last forever even in strong determined breeds). They self sooth by chewing. Give them things it’s okay to chew on/destroy like Nyla bones (which seriously last forever even in strong determined breeds). Last thing to mention, is that if you really want to go with indestructible, prefer something that’ll keep them busy for a lot longer periods of time, then get the weighted feeder kong balls. I put some dog food into ours along with some soft small very strong smelling treats and my dogs work on this for HOURS. It’s how they get their meals or at least part of their meal each day. You can fed the whole meal this way if you want. They come in different sizes but the biggest size has worked perfectly for all of my dogs (weights range from 35 to 150lbs). They knock it over and the snack or treat falls out of a little hole. Then they keep working on it little by little, it’s really a great option for keeping them distracted! Just be sure to take it away when they’re not using it anymore so they don’t learn to guard it. This is true with any toy, treat, bone, or food. Offer a few times a day then take away when they’re no longer interested. Free feeding is one of the worst habits to start and makes it difficult for owners to tell quickly when something is off with their pet. I learned this the hard way! (Google this if you don’t believe me) I would still consider these Kong balls to be indestructible IF you use them properly. I have huge, strong dogs, a sharp toothed and very busy heeler and both have had theirs for 4 years without incident and not even a puncture mark into either one. I filled with “mini” milk bones and broken in half “small” milk bones but just read another reviewer said they freeze theirs with pnut butter and treats inside. Sounds messy but sounds like a great idea! Cant wait to try! Hope this helps!

so thankful for stuffable Kongs. My dog recently was diagnosed with pancreatitis and it is imperative that she does not have anything other than her low fat perscription food and fat free treats like carrots. I bought the size medium Kong because for a little dog (13 pounds) she is a powerful chewer and I'm glad I did. She is obsessed with it and the best part is that I just mash up a serving of her canned perscription food, stuff it in the Kong, and stick it in a bowl in my freezer. she gets so excited for her special kong treat. she chews it and enjoys it for well over an hour. This is amazing for any dog parent of a dog with g.i or pancreatitis issues. no fat likes bones or raw hide! with pancreatitis even one bite of table food or a treat can trigger it and put ... Moreso thankful for stuffable Kongs. This is the old classic rubber Kong dog toy. I have the regular size and the small size for my boxer and for my Boston terrier. Its shape causes it to bounce in random directions. Definitely buy multiples so that there are some in the freezer ready to go on those hot days or on those days that you just need a little time to get something done while your dog is occupied. All in all I completely recommend these toys for all dogs of any shape and size.
