Kong Cozie Ali Alligator X-Large Dog Toy

I bought this for my German shepherd when he was a puppy. Even as a puppy, it did not hold up and he shredded it within an hour. I did like how soft it was though. My daughter has one for her mini wiener dog and she carries it everywhere! She has had it for over a year now. I would definitely recommend this toy for smaller dogs.

I have a 100 lb female Rhodesian Ridgeback namedXi. Although I have had Rhodesian Ridgeback since I was 7 years old Xi is my first rescue. She is an amazing puppy and she absolutely loves her Kong toys. I also love Kong toys because they are durable and last forever. Even when my dogs destroy their Kong toys they are made so that they can still play with the destroyed toy itself. Usually made of hard plastic, extremely durable soft rubber, and strong than I want rope tied in a knots, toys are the best toys that I have found over the years. We got the alligator the day we adopted our sweet girl. She loved cuddling with it, until she got ahold of the tag. She loves tags for some reason. Then she got the stuffing out and then the squeaker! She only wanted to play with the squeaker after that. It lasted a while, but I feel like it could have been a little more durable. Would recommend it though.

I don’t know what it is about this toy, but both of the dogs that I have had absolutely love this one in particular. They always take it on walks with them and take it to their beds at night. I believe there are different sizes but they have the medium ones. It’s definitely not indestructible but overall good quality stuffed toy with a good squeaker.

First time it was defective?

Love the long brand dog toys to the point it’s about all I buy anymore! Giving this a 4 start instead of 5, because unfortunately the squeaker broke within the first hour. I’m thinking this had more so to do with it being defective… this is the first and only time this has happened with the kong brand. Even though this happened, I am willing to overlook it due to the high qualities and the fact it’s never happened befor. Still would recommend.

Great puppy chew

10 week old chi-pit mix puppy loves it. The bright color gets her attention when I wave it around and throw it. When she finds the right place to bite down, the squeak is rather loud! It’s definitely going to be destroyed by her, but slowly enough to seem fair in my opinion. I will probably try the larger size as she grows, but for a puppy/small dog the S size is perfect.

Perfect for snugglers!

This dog toy is so cute! I love that Kong makes this "Cozie" line of products. I bought it as a gift for an older dog that likes to snuggle more than play these days and he immediately laid his head on it as if it were a little pillow! It is so soft and had the high quality I expect from Kong. (Tough, high quality materials, secure stitching, durability)

Someone has to make more durable squeakers!

My 74 lb Pit/Lab mix loved it as soon as he got it. His whole face lit up and he was soooo excited. Unfortunately, the squeaker was dead within 10 minutes. The fabric appears to be pretty durable, but as soon as the squeaker no longer worked, my pooch lost all interest. Now, he picks it up every once in a while, bites down, no squeak, and just drops it. I figured if ANY manufacturer would made a durable squeaker, it would have been KONG. Unfortunately, they didn't. :(

Tough Enough for Puppy vs Toy Fun Fighting

We bought another stuffed animal for our puppy, but he ended up chewing out the squeaky plastic heart from its "soft underbelly," We returned it and bought this crocodile. It's really tough - as I like to hold it in my hand and then engage in fun fighting with our puppy. It allows him to enjoy puppy play, while protecting my hands and preventing him from associating my hands with something to bite. I also hold it above him, and he jumps for it. So far, its indestructible. Our puppy is a Boston Terrier, who is teething, so its durability is terrific. It also has many legs and other parts for him to chew or grab with his teeth.
