My dog can destroy most toys in no time at all. He is a shepherd/lab mix and this Kong bone lasts longer than anything else. We load it with kibble or other goodies and he goes to town! He also chews on it after his dinner and whenever he feels like it. We play with him using the bone. It lasts several months, until eventually he is able to tear it apart. Time for a new one. I hope Kong never stops making them!

We've found that our GS pup (who is almost 2-y.o.) is definitely a 'power' chewer! We're thinking we should have named him 'Shark' -- However, this bone does last quite awhile & keeps him entertained longer than other 'chew' toys we've ordered. We have been stuffing the ends with peanut butter & then keeping it in the freezer before we give it to him. He loves it! After he gets the peanut butter out (which he eventually does), he likes to chew on the middle. If you also have a 'power' chewer (shark) in your house, this is a good product to keep your pet entertained.

Well, I thought that this extreme kong toy would last longer than it did. Our small German Shepherd (yes, she is small at just 57 lbs) bit through the toy quickly. But, once it was in two pieces, she is loving the "bone ends" and she's not demolished those. All in all, it's a decent toy for chewers, but I can't say for aggressive chewers.

I love this chew toy! My dog loves this chew toy! He is an aggressive chewer and this bone keeps him quite occupied. I can’t believe how long we’ve had it, how much he chews it, and it is still in one solid piece! My pup especially loves when I put treats or peanut butter in the holes in the ends!
Huge fan of classic kong extreme. Within 15 mins of interactive play with my boy. The material had large deep splits. Disheartened I tossed it in the garbage. I had received a poor quality now dangerous choking hazard toy for my beloved friend. Better quality checks, and no substitutions; kong.
I don't know what I'd do without my Kong treats. When it's "bedtime" (crate time) for my pups, they love getting a little treat to chew. I have these and the regular Kongs that I fill with spray and freeze. They make a great treat to keep my pups from getting too bored during the night or while we're at work. Definitely worth the cost!
This bone lasted longer than some toys, but is definitely not strong enough or thick enough to stand up to a power chewer. It took my (at that point) <50lb dog about 30 minutes to chew a medium size one almost in half. I doubt the outcome would be any different for the large; they're just too thin in the middle. She was *highly* entertained for those 30 minutes, though, making all sorts of rubber-squeaking-against-teeth sounds, but it's not worth the price to not last a single day. For reference, it's her mission in life to shred (and eat) any rubber toy. She had a flap of a large Chuckit Ultra ball ripped loose in 20 minutes, demolished an "indestructible" Ruff Dawg donut in 10 minutes flat, and has ripped up more "durable" toys than I can count in the 5 months ... MoreThis bone lasted longer than some toys, but is definitely not strong enough or thick enough to stand up to a power chewer. While this bone didn't last, the large size Kong Extreme Goodie Ribbon and large Extreme Ball survived her manic chewing. The only other rubber toys to make it so far are Goughnuts toys, a large WoofBite ball, WoofBite ring, large Petsafe Squirrel Dude, and surprisingly, the cheap Frisco brand holiday toys like the snowman and pumpkin that are made to hold treats kind of like a Kong.
I have a staffy mix that will chew through anything and these bones are no exception. Within 15 minutes she had already put multiple tears into the center of the bone at least a centimeter long. She is about 45 to 50lbs and around 3 years old. This bone is going to be amazing for moderate chewers but definitely not good for the extreme of the extremes.
Maizie just received a new Kong Bone for her 12th birthday! This is the 4th one in her lifetime. After breakfast every day, she requires peanut butter (unsalted smooth) in the 4 cavities of her Kong Bone. This is daily normal routine life with Maizie. She is living happily ever after!
I have always loved this product for my large breed dogs, who are both strong chewers. It lasts much longer than any other brand of treat-dispensing type toys. It will start to crack over time, but it takes a long time before it is necessary to throw it out. I'd say the last one lasted at least a year if not more. I usually like to replace these Kongs yearly due to small cracks that start to develop. But I am very happy with the quality.
