Kora Organics Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Serum 30ml

This serum is phenomenal! Kora Organics is a brand I've been very interested in trying for awhile now, so I was very excited and it delivers results after the first use. This plant stem cell retinol alternative is so much more gentle on my face than typical retinol and so far, after about a week of using, I haven't had any breakouts or irritation whatsoever. I tend to be more positive than most when I review things, but this is my absolute #1 favorite skincare product I've ever used in my life. I mean it. My face looks incredible after one week. Soft, supple and refreshed, as if I was 20 years old, no lie. I'm 36 and while I do take excellent care of my skin, nothing has made me look so good, so fast. I thought my face was in as good a condition as could possibly be until I tried this Kora Organics Plant Cell Retinol Alternative Serum, but I look better every day that I put this on my face. Soon, I'm going to look like a child. Kidding, but I'm definitely NOT kidding when I tell you how great this works.

I start with 3 nights a week! This serum was quickly absorbed after applying it on the face and felt soft! It becomes very smooth, my skin feels hydrated without any redness and dryness! It doesn't irritate the skin. I believe when my skin gets used to it I can use it every night! I believe that with continuous use, the skin condition will definitely get better and better. Looking forward to seeing the great effect result! Because of retinol, it can only be used at night time. And the next morning must put on sunscreen.

I ended up really liking this product! I wasn't quite sure what to expect going in as this is the first KORA Organics product that I have ever tried but I feel like I hit the jackpot with their Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Serum. The product comes in a cute soft purple glass bottle that I liked. The serum itself has a nice texture - it's not too runny or too thick and it applies smoothly and evenly onto skin. The scent was interesting because to me it smells herbal and yet also somewhat woodsy. After applying the serum, it quickly absorbed and didn't leave my face feeling sticky or looking shiny. Love the brand, but my skin didn't love this

First of all, the serum bottle is really beautiful and feels sturdy. The product has been charged with crystals and positivity which is very sweet. I love that it has Bakuchiol, which is a gentle alternative to Retinol. The smell is unpleasant, but it does fade quickly. While the serum is meant to be used both morning and night, I will only use at night or may even need to discontinue use because it seems I'm sensitive to something in the serum. My skin loves Bakuchiol, so I must be sensitive to some other ingredient. It seems I'm an outlier as my friends haven't had any redness as I have been experiencing immediately after use that lasts all night. Love the concept, but it's just not a match for my skin personally.

Nice - except the smell & poor quality dropper

I’ve been using this for about 4 months now almost every evening. I have sensitive skin and appreciate having this as alternative to retinol. I’ve had no adverse reactions and have noticed my skin looks smooth and healthy. I pair this with the Kora Turmeric Glow moisturizer, since I also have redness I’m trying to address. All together, both products are nice and I’m happy. But I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase the serum…The smell of this product is bad. I’m sort of used to the smell now, but I avoid getting near my husband unless I let is sink in for like 30+ minutes or put moisturizer over it. Also, the dropper feels really clunky and poor quality (I thought it was a thick plastic at first). The product comes out, but unevenly and not on the first try. I think it's a very nice and mild antioxidant serum that I can recommend to my friends. I would use it as an addition to the professional dermatologist prescribed serums that I am normally using. Limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards'. I wish all brands would be that honest with their customers. 2) I was looking for an antioxidant serum. According to the British Journal of Nutrition, organic ingredients produce up to 60% more antioxidants than non-organic ingredients. I think this serum should work really well as an antioxidant protection. Kora is certified through Ecocert/COSMOS, one of the most heavily regulated ingredient systems in the world. 3) The package looks and feels luxurious. It's very sustainable, too. CONS: 1) I was surprised that the serum was made in the USA. I thought all Kora Organics products are made in Australia. 2) The serum sits on the surface of the skin and is not being absorbed as quickly as luxury serums (just as an example, my favourite serums are Dr Levy, Barbara Sturm, Biologique Recherche). 3) I won't recommend this serum to people who don't like intense scents in their skincare. The rose scent is nice, but really intense.

Soft cloudy pudding texture, no scent, luscious!

I'm not sure why this serum got some bad reviews recently, but none of what they described was the case for me. The texture is very soft, like a rich milk pudding, without being too drippy. It has zero fragrance, let alone a pungent one! It stayed on my face all night without leaving an annoying film the next morning like some serums do. I can't speak to the effectiveness of this serum because I did just receive a sample with one of my orders, but from the two times I used it, I can't say that it tightened my face or anything negative. I also used it all by itself, so there was no cross-interference from any other products. Lastly, my choice of placement for the first photo is just a reminder that being fabulous is the best revenge. Stay fabulous Sephora friends! ✨️
