Korg G1 Air 88 Note Piano White Ash
Experience breathtakingly detailed sound. The Korg G1 Air digital piano in white ash is a beautiful piano that looks as good as it sounds. Boasting Korg's Japanese made Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 (RH3) keybed which reproduces the touch on a grand piano, the Korg G1 piano is guaranteed to impress. The new and fresh design of the G1 may be subtle, but it also has a lot of practical advantages. Not only does the new backboard offer a more attractive appearance, but it also adds more rigidity to the build of the piano. What does this mean for you? Less flex in the pedalboard, less wobble while playing, and also a cleaner aesthetic if you need to have lots of cables behind your piano. No one manufacturer can make a piano that meets the needs of every pianist. This is why at the heart of the Korg G1 are three of the world's finest grand pianos from Germany, Japan, and Austria. Now you can have the sounds of three vastly different grand pianos for you to freely choose between.

The piano has excelent sound and keys. Wood build quality does not follow the same philosophy. The keyboard cocer looks thin an filmsy. Looking from outsife it looks like Russian Lada.. somehow unfinished with visible screws and hinges.I ordered it online expecting the state of the art instrument. If I saw it in the store I wouldn't have bought it.If you don't care about visual appearance, i would recommend it.

I've been playing piano/keys professionally for over 40 years. I have exceptional chops and play all styles. This is the first digital piano I've ever played that I am 100% happy with!!In fact I would rather play this in a restaurant then a high end Steinway!! Not that the Steinway isn't a better instrument, but in a restaurant volume control (both what you hear and what the diners hear) is essential. The speakers are situated so that they hit you first (bottom two) but also fill up the air (top two) so you can both fill up the room yet play at the perfect volume for both you and the customers. The action is superb as it relates to sound. Many very high priced (up to 10K) digital pianos have great sound, until you try to play them. :-) What I mean by that is that ... MoreI've been playing piano/keys professionally for over 40 years. I have been looking for this piano forever it seems.:-) The G1 because of it's RH3 (made in Japan) action and it's "synchronization" to the sound it creates is heads above any piano at any price!!It is a joy to play and it is the first digital piano I have ever felt that way about!!It responds like a fine sports car and is both nimble and lightning fast if you are. :-)

I use this compact piano almost exclusively through headphones. The included speaker sounds okay, but less realistic (more harsh sounding) than when using headphones. I normally wouldn't have considered an electric piano, but small house, roommate considerations mandated I try it out. The keys feel surprisingly natural. Though, if I were being highly critical, I could point out a non-linear volume response - little difference in output volume while playing ppp-f, greater rise in volume during f-fff.Generally, however, I very much enjoy that this electric piano has focused on replicating acoustic pianos more than having a plethora of electronic soundscapes. These details are best experienced through headphones, the build-in speakers don't quite color the sound as well.As mentioned below, be wary of the "Brown" model, which is closer to Black than Brown on a Black/Brown scale. (See attached photo of Brown piano next to a actual brown wood stool).Feature Request: Ability to adjust metronome level independent of piano volume. Otherwise, nicely built-in metronome, ability to adjust time signatures is great.

A nice slim design, however: 1) instructions on putting it together were not helpful, especially when compared to other brands like Kawai and Yamaha 2) It sounded OK except when I play Forte there were some definite "Klinker" notes - which I found hard to believe in a $2000 digital piano. So I returned it.
Lovely little electric piano, feels and plays like an acoustic grand piano. If I were to play it blindfolded I'd be almost certain it wasn't an electronic piano I was playing. Key response is perfect. Tones for the German piano, Austrian piano, and Japanese piano are distinct and superb. Tones for the E piano sounds aren't that great but who cares. Organ tones excellent. Setup requires phillips screwdriver, that's it. Took me four hours to complete (I'm old). Finished piano is 'junior size' and for me, that's perfect, 88 regulation keys are all there. It looks fabulous (chose black). Pedals are solid and remarkably like an acoustic. Speakers are excellent, powerful. Blue toothed my cell phone and can direct sound to piano speakers! Connection with head phones works ... MoreLovely little electric piano, feels and plays like an acoustic grand piano. Connection with head phones works well. No bench, I use a chair anyway. Piano is an unbelievably great deal, far better than anything close in price. Ok, I re-read this, makes me seem like I"m a shill for Korg. No, I'm a guy who has played a nice Yamaha upright for 30 yrs, sold it and bought the G1 Air, wanted experience of playing Steinway etc. before I croak. I'm doing it now, doesn't get any better than this. Just an amazing treat, enjoying the piano immensely.
So pleased with this, which I bought to replace my acoustic piano. The key action is the best I have encountered in a digital piano, as in it is the most natural feeling to someone used to an acoustic, and I find the controls easy and instinctive so far, although I still haven't explored everything it can do. It may not suit someone looking for lots of technical wizardry, but I think for my purposes it will be pretty perfect, and can easily go with me if I move to somewhere smaller in the future. Looks good too!
The bass is better on this than I expected. Very rich and loud. It was causing loose objects near to rattle. The default German piano sound was a little bit too bright for me, but it can be tweaked. And I was able to get it to something I liked. The Austrian was quite nice just as it was. The Japanese was also a bit bright to me but like I said, brightness can be adjusted a little. Contrary to some, I think that the piano actually sounds better through the onboard speakers than headphones, but that could have been because the headphones are not the best quality. I also really like the action. I'm not a professional, but with my limited experience I am pleased with the G 1.
I absolutely love the Korg G1 Air. The touch the quality and sound is Superb. We had to go on U-tube to help fix it up on the furniture/ stand it's built around ,,- Despite the instructions. It's slim compact and really looks good. Excellent. There is absolutely nothing that l don't like about it.
After sampling several pianos I really liked the sound of the korge and it’s slimline design is space saving. I also liked all the digital sounds and the menu available.Great for student and tutor to play alongside as can split the keyboard. Love the weight of the keys which can be changed if needed. Really pleased with this piano it’s just right for the beginner and intermediate.
I understand that "Refurbished" means it might not be perfect, but the issues were not stated at the time of purchase. The piano lid does not open and close smoothly and makes a "click" sound. Additionally, the area where the lid connects to the body is deformed.
