Fantastic instrument, well worth the wait, the electric piano sounds are just silky smooth and lots of modulation options, and the classic piano sounds are as good as you are going to get without buying an actual acoustic. The hammer action is the best that I’ve felt on a digital piano but I haven’t tried many of the high end ones. The damper pedal has different levels so you can half and quarter damper which makes it feel that much closer to an actual piano. The speakers sound really good for playing at home, and finally the design, looks absolutely stunning, everyone who has seen it at my house always comments on how good it looks. Great piano!

I used the previous version of the SV on worship teams before but now wanted something for home and for the kids to learn on. Once I saw the new version of this with built in speakers it was a no-brainer. Great action, although a bit heavier than Yamaha. Amazing sounds. Only criticism is that, not surprisingly, the speakers are very light on the low end. Otherwise they have exceptional clarity and separation. But I still wanted more low end, so I bought an inexpensive sub and the outs feed the sub. Problem solved, and very happy with it!

I really love the great detail with the sounds in this and we even played it next to a real piano and blindfolded sitting in the back of the room could not tell the difference. Love the speakers they sound nice and would work great in a small room. The connectivity is also great love the xlr outputs. I just wish they made a hard case for this I ended up with a Gator customizable case.

The RH3 keys feel a little flimsy, the action does not FEEL awesome (although the musical expression that it enables is good). The main problem is that the keys break easily. I was hoping for a keyboard that I could gig with for years before any maintenance was required. Now two of the keys have already broken under normal use.The second problem is that KORG will not send me a repair manual. I repair all my own gear and cars and everything and I don't always use a manual, but it sure helps. I really wish they would respect our right to repair the items we buy and provide the service manual to everyone. Or at least produce a well-made keyboard that doesn't require frequent repairs.
It was as if some reached into the depths of my mind and put together a piano based on all of my subconscious desires. There is an elegant simplicity to the controls, and a resonant, textured sound that can be tuned to your desire (literally, you can change the Hz of the pitches played).I worry about pushing on keys too hard, for fear of them breaking, but so far have not had any issues, and such a fear is unfounded. The piano is quite heavy, but built rigidly I can't imagine anything outside of a tank or monster truck doing damage to it.I will keep this piano forever. As a personal note, Sam Ash representatives are incredibly helpful. Elias followed up to let me know when the item had shipped and to make sure I had received the item in good condition.
I haven't explored so much as a smidgeon of it yet but the sounds it makes are exceptionally good. I've seen what it can do on YouTube, and I'm loving every moment I'm on it. The action's very like an acoustic piano (I own an acoustic upright), which is idea for me because I'm learning how to play. The only issue with portability is its weight, which, for me, was really heavy which made it difficult getting it upstairs -- although the delivery driver didn't have a problem carrying it to my house. The speakers, from reviews on YouTube, though good could be better compared with other keyboards in the same price range, but I've no frame of reference so I can't really comment.
This thing has surpassed my expectations. Is a pleasure to play and it's great having the sounds i need at my fingertips. All of the sounds just sit so well in my tracks. Its also amazing how quick it is to tweak all the sounds as they are at my finger tips. Also looking to spend my loyalty points soon, which is an added and very welcome bonus in the deal.
Sounds good, looks good, feels great to play. Only reason I didn’t give it the full 5 stars is down to personal preference (I would prefer if the controls felt more analogue) and because the built in FX feel a little limited. I’ve not tried the available editing software yet, maybe some of the FX can be tweaked with that. The refurbished unit, to all intents and purposes, looks brand new. I wouldn’t have known it had had any previous use if not told. Price wise I have seen used examples priced at more than this and they don’t come with the peace of mind of a factory warranty and often have some signs of use/wear.
The SV-2S simply has the most beautiful Rhodes / Wurly samples of any synth around, other than paying many thousands more for a real Rhodes etc (I’ve compared with Nord etc worth twice the price or more).I don’t intend to gig with this SV-2S (my trusty old Yamaha S90 is still fine for such things!) I’ve bought this for recording with at home. The inbuilt speakers are surprisingly good, more than adequate for home use.The simplicity of old fashioned knobs instead of LCD menu screens makes this intuitive to use.Very happy with my purchase, I hope to enjoy many years playing / recording with it.
