I am a novice woodworker, building a custom 3 tier 5 foot wide hutch to go over a desk. After watching many YouTube videos on pockethole joinery, I discovered Kreg products, including their Multi Mark tool. They have excellent video tutorials on the use of their products, and it was obvious that a lot of thought by experienced carpenters had gone into every aspect of this small but powerful measuring tool. It is virtually a no-brainer to recommend this tool, which is so inexpensive, yet provides such value, to others. I could not see doing my woodwork without it!

I debated buying a combination square instead of this tool, but based on the great quality of my Kreg pockethole jig I decided to buy this tool. Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. The grooves for the 90° angle are a bit too big so the metal piece can wiggle side to side way more than a square should. I checked the level in this tool against 3 other levels and it's very noticeably off. Literally a $3 line level is way more accurate than this tool. The only reason to buy this tool would be if you're doing rough work where accuracy doesn't matter and all you care about is size and portability. The only accurate part of this tool is the depth gauge. Kreg either needs to step up the quality or make this a $5 tool.

Been a Kreg fan boy for a while. But the Multi Mark fell short in my opinion. The front of the package says "One Tool Does it All". Bought it to measure rafter angle and match for soffit install. Unfortunately, it does not allow continuous angle adjustment. It only provides fixed positions of 45 and 90 degrees. Packaging fell short of clarifying this. Very disappointed.

First let me say thus tool is very durable and provides in theory a good solution for many different uses, but is not accurate at all beside for tge ruler. I contacted tge company about mine being about 3 degrees off fir the 90 and 45 degree and was tokd that is normal because of their plastic molding. “Basically, when doing the plastic molding it allows for about 3 degrees of variance within the plastic. Really what we say is to use the 90 as a reference and not for a true 90 because of this.” Exact words from kreg on the situation. Now this was a little misleading seeing if you watch their videos on the tool and says you can use it to make 90 and 45 degree marks for trim and other things. I purchased what I thought to be a quality tool, well as usual I was very disappointed ??, my fault. Plastic is very commonplace in most things today! I was so disappointed, that I gave it away! Perhaps I will get the opposite to go somewhere to find an old tool very similar that is a quality tool! There is a real problem purchasing anything on line! I share know better.
One side of the ruler was not cut square, making it almost useless for one of its intended purposes.The tool itself is great and I just end up using it in a limited capacity as a depth-check for squaring up alignment.
It came ready to use right out of the box. I’m a beginner to the woodworking hobbyists club and this work table is a great tool to start with. I also purchased the Kreg Pocket Hole Jig 720 Pro and some assorted clamps. Now, all I need is wood or other workable material to be on my way to my first project. Just kidding, I just thought it was time time to upgrade from my older Kreg Tool stock of tools. They all still work fine and I will give them to my son for many more years of use. I am hoping to get a second work table for Father’s Day!
Started using it last weekend. It was VERY useful! Loved that I could use it several different ways- check blade depth, distances and square! So glad I bought it.
This is a very handy and very portable tool. I used it extensively during a recent project of building a small credenza. Adjustments for a straight, right angle or 45 degree configuration are quite simple. I might mention that the ruler has inches on one side and mm on the other side. I used the Blum hinges for the doors of the credenza. Since the dimensions for the hole locations are in mm, the Multi-Mark made it very easy to do a simple measurement without having to convert mm to inches. I feel certain that this is a tool that I will use frequently on other projects.
