Sound: I finally upgraded from the rigged up home stereo, and headphones. That Bass is so clean. It doesn't rattle my windows, or walls, or anything for that matter. The sound stays inside the speakers. That's always been one of my biggest problems with Bass. It travels and vibrates everything, kind of annoying and distracting when your hear stuff rattling WITH your music. This is my first pair of studio monitors. Not speakers but monitors. They are the perfect monitors for the home studio. Features: I love the digital eq parameter on the back of each monitor. It allows ultimate flexibility for dialing in the sound exactly how you want it. The general aesthetic of it is pretty dope too. They also have an app for iphone/android so its literally made for anyone who's anyone. I love that universal compatibility. It simplifies a lot. Ease of Use: It was pretty self explanatory. For being my first set of monitor speakers all I did was unbox them, hook them up to my interface, cranked them on, dialed in the sound. Boom done! It doesn't get any easier. Quality: You can tell they took their time engineering these speakers. They're very well crafted. I see me using these for several years before I even think about getting another pair. It's got an 8 inch speaker, and a little 1 inch tweeter. Don't let that fool you. These speakers were much bigger than I expected. All the sound stays inside the speaker. It makes a huge difference when it comes to canceling out all the excess noise& vibrations. Windows, stuff on shelves, doors, etc. Very well crafted. Value: The price is fair. In my honest opinion. I wouldn't say they're overpriced, and they're definitely not cheap. Thanks to zounds, guys/girls like me can get their hands on some amazing equipment. The Wow Factor: I didn't NEED the speakers, but I was getting tired of just my headphones. Sometimes I can spend all day in my studio, especially when im off work. Or half a day at the least. After a while those headphones start to hurt and become uncomfortable on the tops of my ears. I generally just wanted to upgrade my studio.Of course I love the general aesthetic of the speakers too. They seriously look bad a$$ just sitting there on my desk with all of my gear. It looks very nice. Gives me more of that "studio feel" and it feels good. It's nice to finally have the option of headphones or speakers. And not just speakers, but speakers that were specifically made for this kind of stuff. Overall: These speakers are the SH!T!!!! They sound so good and they're much bigger than I expected. Clean bass. Literally nothing vibrates or rattles. All that Bass and sound stays inside the speakers. Did I mention that they sound amazing? Shipping was extremely fast. I had them 1 day after ordering. Super happy with these krk8s. I got 1 step down from the krk 10-3. I just need to get my hands on the sub now. This is the prefect size for a home studio. The eq on the back of each monitor is an awesome addition as well, so you can dial in that sound just right. Krk did amazing with these. I can see why they're universally loved. There's nothing to dislike about them. 10/10 perfect studio monitors. You won't be disappointed. As always zZounds rocks, and makes my life so much easier. Aside from local music shops, zZounds is the only place I order from. They've been nothing but good to me. Thank you zZounds for helping me bring me dreams to life!!!!

I have a small well acoustically treated room. I exchanged a couple of 7's for a couple of 5's, finding the 7's a bit too big for my small studio. I was pleasantly surprised to find not only that the bass sounded tighter than the 7's, but the difference in hiss was remarkable. The 7's have a mild hiss typical of other monitors. But the 5's had little to no hiss at all, I'm guessing due to the smaller tweeter amp. The 7's sounded awesome, no knocking the 7's, but the 5's sounded even better. I'm sure things would be different in a different room or with different tastes. But for me, these 5's fit the bill perfectly!

Overall: My first speakers when I started DJing back in 2018 were some cheapo Samson speakers that were ok at the time, but when I upgraded to a set of Pioneer DM 40's, I was blown away by the sound difference. Well when I upgraded from the DM 40s to two KRK Rokit 5 G4's I was just as blown away as the first upgrade if not more. The bass is so clear coming from the KRKs and the highs sound perfect. I love that they have XLR inputs and the EQing you can do with the speakers is top notch. I have them dialed in perfectly for my setting when I practice Djing at home. I love that they go into a standby mode to conserve power if you leave them on but not in use for a bit. They look really good too. I can't say enough how great they sound. If you purchase a pair you won't be disappointed I can promise you that. The fact that ZZsounds let's you pay for them in steps is pretty cool too. I bought mine from a brick and mortar "guitar" place, but I wish I'd gotten them from zZounds.

The 10-3's should NOT be confused with the rest of KRK's Rokit line, which are only 2-way. These guys have far more finesse and mid-range detail - while uniquely delivering a low-end that obviates the need for a subwoofer. They're equally adept at near-field and mid-field. I actually regularly use mine at just over 1 metre, which isn't recommended, and yet hear no significant fall-off. Amazing monitors, and incredible value for money.
I wanted another set of monitors to use with an old set. My previous monitors are twenty plus years old, and I figure I'm tempting fate not having a backup set. They still sound great, but vintage monitors are not the same as vintage guitars... I'll be honest, I was planning on buying the Kali's since I never liked the old KRK monitors, but for some reason couldn't pull the trigger. After the Kali sale ended I found this set which included the Mackie Big Knob for free (that I was also going to buy anyway). I took a chance and ordered them. Shockingly I got them the next day even though I ordered them in the afternoon! I even had to check my invoice to make sure I didn't hit overnight by mistake, but it was standard ground shipping. The packing was excellent as well. That's not always my experience at B&H so kudos to them on that. The KRKs have a load of tweaking options but are easy to fine tune from the back. The sound is far better than any soundclip I heard while researching them. They're not premium studio monitors, but they are much closer than the price suggests. For me it's nice they are available in white since my old monitors are also white. KRK has definitely improved dramatically since I first tried them years ago. I hope they last as long as my old monitors.
I had looked at getting the Yamaha HS7W as they do look so nice, but already owning KRK VXT6's and Rocket RP5 G2's I defo have my feet in the KRK camp. But I'm always open to changing product and set about my research as I kinda had my heart set on the HS7's purely off the looks. My searches need up on brilliant YouTube page that compares different brands of speakers via A-B sound clips of different types of music. I looked at the HS5 vs Rokit5 G4 and the HS7 vs Rokit7 G4. Bit time the sound on the Yamaha's just felt like they were lacking body and bottom end. As my purchase would be used on my DJ booth the KRK's were the obvious choice after sat listening to all the various musical style comparisons. Also I noticed the upgrade in sound quality compared to my old Rokit5 G2's straight away. I haven't even got round to setting them up properly with the new KRK app yet, so I'm expecting the sound quality to improve further!
I spent a lot of time to read and watch reviews on these monitors before deciding to purchase them from Andertons who offered them in the best price around for an overseas customer. They were replacing a pair of Yamaha HS80m (yes, this is not a typo!) Due to moving to a smaller place, I needed to downsize and replace my big monitors with something much more compact that would still produce decent quality sound. The plan is to pair them with a small sub (Eris sub8). What can I say about these small beauties! No hiss at all, except you stick your ear to the twitters, something that HS80M is not famous for. Sound wise, I put them next to the Yamahas and was alternating between the 2 pairs. Yamahas had of course more low end and depth due to the larger woofer, but I ... Sound wise, I put them next to the Yamahas and was alternating between the 2 pairs. Yamahas had of course more low end and depth due to the larger woofer, but I could now hear an annoying boost in middle / middle high bands that made them sound a bit plasticky compared to the RP5 G4's. The G4's on the other hand, sounded more natural/neutral, less-fatiguing for longer sessions and very nice for regular listening apart from mixing work. What I hear is in line with the results of the Audio Science Review tests. Their looks are great, now upgraded with KRK grills, and their construction looks very strong and long-lasting (time will show of course). Super happy with my purchase, Yamahas are already gone and I am waiting for my sub8 to complete my new dream studio :)
Overall: I had been using M-audio monitors for about 8 years and I finally decided it was time to upgrade. I researched a few, but I really liked the idea that KRK had provided the opportunity to adjust the EQ to fit the room of the monitors. Some other brands had not done that and it really mattered in my decision making. Of course there is also the sound. The clarity of the speakers is fantastic and the separation of the various frequencies so I can hear how all the sounds sit in the mix is more than I had hoped for. I also decided to splurge and test out the subwoofer so I could hear how my music would sound on a system with deep bass and I am glad I made that choice. I've never owned monitors before and had no idea how they would sound on my desk in my living room. After ordering and then the speedy delivery, I set up the KRK RP5s.They are connected by the lineout cables in the bundle, to an M Audio DI box. I'm not a professional musician, my 'music making' was borne during the first lockdown, last year.Listening to my recordings through the RP5s was an ear-opener! The sound was clear and I could hear every element of my recordings very, very clearly. This was extremely helpful for listening to a mix of track, illuminating what needed to be tweaked. I also listened to some of my favourite youtube musicians like MonoNeon and Wobass through the RP5s and was blown away. The clarity of the instruments were really heightened. I'm a ...
