Kyocera Ceramic Utility Knife and Peeler Set Black

Ceramic so durability is an issue but unbelievably sharp. The handles are cheap plastic and that isn’t great for an expensive product.

Great knife

The knife itself is awesome.The only negative is that I did not realise the knife did not come with a scabbard. It is a very sharp knife to leave unprotected.

I just love my

I just love my Kyocera Ceramic knife, and the veggie peeler than came with it was an added bonus. The lasting sharpness of the knife is amazing and it really does work like a-hot-knife-through-butter. I can't see how anybody who bought one would ever be disappointed with the cutting performance, if fact, I can't imagine my kitchen without my ceramic knife.

I really love this

I really love this knife. Very comfortable to use and because it is light you can prep away for hours without any aches. Extremely sharp and stays sharp for a long time. I have used it daily and I prep for a large family and have had it for a few months and it has not needed sharpening yet. It just glides through cuts even on hard vegetables and laughs at my hard butter straight from the fridge. I own excellent German steel knives at home(which I have had for twenty years and they are still as good as new and sharp) but this ceramic one is so effortless! Certainly less taxing to use when you are cutting for hours. No transfer of flavours or acids. Easy clean. Will definitely buy more.

I was so impressed

I was so impressed with these knives while in Japan, and wanted to buy one in Sydney. After shopping around, Everten had the best price BY FAR, and made it so easy for me to buy. I was especially impressed with the polite and accommodating manner of the staff when I needed to change my order details. The knife and peeler are really superior and I use it to cut all meat and veg. They are extremely sharp, and I use them when my stainless steel knife doesn't make the grade. My only advice would be to wash the blade straight away to avoid the white ceramic becoming discoloured, and wash it carefully (not with other cutlery) as the blade can chip. Overall, I am very happy with the performance of these two Kyocera products.

Sharp & very useful.

Wonderful knife for fine work eg. vegetables. Have had smaller one for 3 years, never been sharpened and still sharp enough to slice tomato. This year's were purchased for each of my children.

Sharp enough to Shave with

Using my Kyocera Knife and Peeler is a new experience. The light weight and razor sharp edge of the knife and peeler make the preparation of veggies and fruit enjoyable. It is almost second nature that we automatically reach for the Ceramic Knife in preference to a top quality Steel Knife. I would recommend a good quality Kyocera Knife as an addition to your kitchen equipment.

Super sharp little knife

Absolutely love my new Kyocera ceramic utility knife. It is light and great to handle, but SUPER sharp. I bought a new one as my old one got a chip (a visitor used it... not onowing not to twist!) - and I loved the old one as it was still really sharp after using it daily for almost 5 years! It is only after receiving the new one, that I am realising the old one got slightly blunt in comparison. Even in saying that, the old one is still consistently sharper than most of my metal knives, which are all high quality German steel!

This little knive is

This little knive is very sharp, and has performed above my expectations so far. The only negative is that the knive stained on the very first use, despite cleaning it straight away. It has been difficult to get the carrot stain off, thought it should have come off with continued use. Not so. The stain does not affect the knives performance. Vegie peeler amazingly sharp. Great buy for both products.
