Wanted to get something to suck up the condensation on my windows for ages now. Specially now it’s colder and heating is not on much due to cost.Thought the adverts for this would not be realistic , however it does exactly that. All the moisture on my windows and shower get sucked up in a instance.Would like the battery charge to last a little longer. But it does the job.Really easy to use. Very pleased with this product.Wish I had bought it sooner.

I read lots of reviews before I purchased this and they were very mixed. It works just okay…and I believe you could buy the cheapest model and get the same results. Vacuuming the water off the window is a definite bonus, it does leave streaks which I buffed off with a chamois. The spray bottle attached to the window washer attachment wasn’t to my liking, it is awkward to use so I just use an ordinary spray bottle. It was quicker using this appliance but it certainly doesn’t leave an amazing streak free finish as claimed.

Pros: Really easy to set up and use. Charging seems to last a fairly long time. Comes with a squeegee bottle for cleaning fluid which is really useful. Really pleased with how clean and streak free the windows are after using it.Cons: Could just be our technique and the fact we haven’t used it much yet but round the edges and bottom of the window especially need a wipe after use. The bottom of the windows, I find, are a little awkward because the Karcher catches on the sill.
Pros: The karcher WV5 is a great piece of kit. It's been doing a fantastic job of removing a lot of condensation on my window due to the cold weather just now.Really like the different size suction heads too.I tried my neighbours other make just before buying the Karcher WV5. And didn't like that one at all?.I would truly recommend the Karcher WV5. It gets a ? from me.My neighbour has ditched her other make and gone for the Karcher and loves it.Cons: None at the moment.
I have just about every type of window in my house, from small-paned Georgian sliding sash windows and leaded lights, to modern triple-glazed glass walls. Keeping on top of the cleaning of them is a monstrous task, and one that can take days to complete. I haven't yet given this the full workout, but I'm already discovering it cuts window-cleaning time by a good half. The modern windows use the larger blade; the Georgian windows work with the smaller blade. Unfortunately the vacuum doesn't work well on the leaded light windows, which I still have to do by hand.My only real criticism is that the spray bottle can only be used upright. On a heavy cooking day (ie Christmas Day) I had to do this six times during the day, but it's such a novelty and the resultant clear glass so satisfying, I think overall it's been a very good buy.

After spending lots of time looking at different brands of window vacuum's I opted for the Karen as it was the top rated amongst the brands and as I have several other Kirchner products I know personally that its normally a superior brand to others.In all honesty this is not a bad product. It does what it says on the box. But if I'd have tried the different models before purchase I would not have spent £70 on a this model. I would have simply bought the cheapest model of the vacuum that I could have found. The reason being? You simply don't need all the gadgets and extras that come with the main vacuum, ie: the spray bottle with applicator, I prefer to use a kitchen wash sponge and use household window cleaner not the Karcher cleaner ( much cheaper & does the same ... This does it with a scrape. Its also excellent on stainless steel, I use it on my cooker, splash back and hob and works a treat, used to take me ages!! And I use the glass cleaner just the same as always! ( I use method glass cleaner brilliant all round )

The battery life of this WV5 is far better...does the 35 minutes quoted at the moment, but how long it will retain this I do not know.For the most part it collects condensation well, except at the ends of the rubber blade. The rubber needs to be reinforced on the ends to stop it flexing so much and pushing water away from the blade/suction. Even with the new blade it leaves streaks if there isn't dampness on the entire area it is being used on, but where there is condensation it does a good job.As for the 'edge guidance system' - I can't imagine why I (or anyone) would use this. My old karcher window vac started to die after many many years of good service.. so I bought a "cheapy" one, they can't be that different can they?...Oh how wrong I was. Karcher are clear streets ahead in window vacs. The karcher was quieter,quicker no drips, no missed bits, no mess! ,simple as that. Perfect! Exactly what you expect from a prestigious brand and absolutely worth every single penny without any doubt.
