Just replaced my k4 premium of 7 years after it sprung a leak internally.I thought after 7 years the design may have moved on, but seems to have stagnated or maybe gone backwards.Karcher still have not figured out what to do with the power lead and the hose reel is still manual and stiff to use, the lance hasn't improved either, at least my old one used to light up, the balance is poor and can easily topple over if you overstretch the hose, I would have expected a splash guard by now also. The machine works as well as the old one and can tackle most cleaning jobs, just disappointing that Karcher have been so lazy in advancing in 7 years.There are other brands on the market that are just as good now, Karcher seem to be trading on the name for this model

I bought it direct from Karcher and the delivery time was excellent, I wish all manufacturers did what they say they would.I assembled it the same day of receipt, which wasn't entirely straight forward, the sketchy instructions left a bit to be desired!I stood the machine down on the patio and went to get an extension lead, on returning one of my ten week old puppies had chewed completely through mains lead. Sickening to say the least, I dismantled it again with the intention of reattaching the lead as it was only about a foot shorter. To do this you virtually have to strip it down to its individual components, the switch box is captivated between the cylinder head and the cylinder body so they have to be separated, then there's the spade terminals to make good, ... Bought this K4 because my MX720 which was over twenty years old finally gave up the ghost. Very happy with the new machine. Only disappointment is the hose. It continually attempts to coil itself up when in use. It is much too stiff. Karcher is letting themselves down by not supplying a more flexible hose. I will be replacing the existing hose with a third part replacement as soon as possible.

Once you have pulled the hose out which is 8 meteres so a good length here! it stays spiralled and if you have the gun attached as expected from the the storage position you have to detach it to unspiral the whole thing by 'twisting' to straighten the hose, 'quite frustrating'! I have not tried the foam kit as yet but other reviewers have said how it can use the full bootle in one wash (use) i am not sure theirs may of been setup correctly! It's the winding of the power hose back on the machine thats where the weakness is, also the hose joint connector is very weak and any stress here will cause it to leak and maybe 'shear' off, this is plastic when it should of been a metal design. Another simple omission is a clip to coilr the power lead and store, (the lead is not very long) extra 3 metres would of been nice to remove power a way fom the 'wet area'.The instruction booklet is poor in that the assembly pictures could be a little clearer and enlarged to show where some of the screws go, Why the text has to be so small for the key information is ridiculous.Value for money ? I'm not sure, I think there are other machines out there that can do most of the same for 1/2 the price.I have also purchased the 'Facade and window cleaning kit' Not really a practical design, very difficult to hold and use due to the way it attaches to the gun.I think overall it is more a gimmick than a practical tool. Varable power could of been achieved by a Manual power control on the machine, the built in functional on the gun is temperamental and does not always work. The 'app' really does not justify the built in cost. Why do you need a Mobile phone phone at hand to wash your Car, Windows ect.I would sya avoid the Technoogy as it is a cost you can avoid and buy a cheaper machine.
I bought this pressure washer from the official Karcher website as they promised an extra year’s warranty on top of the 2 years standard warranty. However on delivery and also since the purchase there’s been no mention or evidence of this. So I’m now left feeling it’s a bit of a scam or sales trick. Also there were no instructions in the box so I had to resort to YouTube videos to assemble. Finally the well known hose kinking issue but that was to be expected as a design fault. Other than these issues it works fine.
I bought this washer based on Kaerchers reputation, however I was left fairly disappointed. After having to assemble the product, I noticed it was broken. I had to break it back down and package it back up then wait 5 days to get a replacement sent out which also needed put together before realising it too was broken. I then needed to use the product as it was starting to hold up further work at my house. I’m now stuck with a broken washer and not mention of compensation - very poor.The washer its self works well, however, a spooler for the hose would be a welcome addition.
Very happy with this cleaner. Very powerful and convenient use of built in hose as well as the click and clean feature which automatically switches between detergent (ie car cleaning, stone/paver cleaning products) and higher pressure water. This is now the way I was our cars instead of the carwash. Does a great job. Also use for maintaining clean pavers and exposed brickwork at home. I use in conjunction with the T5 surface cleaner, having upgraded from a lower power, noisier, less effective alternative brand. Looking to get the gutter cleaner to do gutters at home. With that, will have a complete cleaning solution. This is certainly not the cheapest cleaner, but it certainly does a very good job.
Purchased because I wanted Power Control functionality described on the website (power setting controlled by LED display on trigger gun). Actually the trigger gun has no control and no LED display. It does have a basic mechanical flow meter which responds to the setting on the variolance which seems to vary during usage. There is no power control when using dirtbllaster lance or a spray bottle. Cleaning power is fair at the price. Don't be fooled by the Power Control hype.

Bought the cheapest Karcher model which broke first go, so took it back and bought the only Karcher model tha didn’t have mixed review which is this K4. All 5 star review s and I’m adding another one. First off , it works . It cleans stuff really easily. The hose connection to the gun clicks in nice and solid and the connection to the unit is behind the reel which also works well. And gun and wands store on the device. Unit s solid and hose is a good length. Did my outside patio and driveway and this thing ate it up. My original Karcher lasted about 20 years (and cost about $99 from Bunnings lol). Hope this replacement can do the same !
