Kärcher - Pressure Washer HD 5/12 CX Plus Easy!

Having used k4s before we needed something a bit more powerful. This has plenty of that. Great pressure washer, looks good too.

Brilliant machine.

I bought this machine a couple of months ago after 3yrs of research! I live in London so space is a premium, I can report that having read and followed the included instructions that this is a fantastic piece of kit. I have been using this for almost 6 months. From the packaging to the accessories included, the overall quality and the user experience is top notch, plus it’s really compact. It’s definitely very expensive! But I wanted a tool that would last long and so saved up for it. I got it at a lower price.

Great machine for the money

I got this machine just to see what its capable comparing with my daily one the 7/11-4m witch Its a beast for home use . But i have to say im pretty impressed . The flow rate of water its amazing and the power well really good . The thing that it comes with triple nozzle and the dirt blaster its really nice of karcher . The easy force lance its ok for use but the lances are meant to be abused but the plastic at the first fell will chip or crack . So be gentile with them . Its light wait and really easy to cary . Really Heavy Duty . Military Spec. and very Quiet!

My last domestic Karcher ran for 24 years. But it was almost Professional Level.Sorry but the new domestic ones are sadly like everything cheap plastic.So I plunged for the Professional Level HD 6/13C Plus.Its superb high flow (great for car paintwork) and decent power level for the Patio. Brass Cylinder Head and connections etc.The new Easy!Lock system is a dream, ultra fast to connect/disconnect, but still battleship style solid locking. The Easyforce gun is a delight cleverly using the pressure created by the jet to hold the gun "on" for sustained work. Excellent design.And they have a knowledgeable Technical Department, that will speak to you, for any odd queries .. and you can understand their English! Heaven ...Likewise fabulous technical support and service from my Dealer Trafalgar!And a 3 year Warranty!All sounds perfect, only slight niggles .. if only the hose hooks were an 1" longer; then wrapping the hose and super heavy duty electrical cord would be so much easier. How did they miss that!It could be perfected IMO by having solid rubber wheels, rough concrete tends to damage these style of moulded plastic wheels. But maybe they will last ... and I was able to get spares for my old Karcher when it was 14 years old !!! So no massive thing.I was initially shocked by the price of accessories v domestic ones ... but now see why .... these HD items are the business, honestly Battleship std. the difference is remarkable. If the pump and motor ar ethe same std. as my last one ( feels / looks and sounds like they are )This should run in the domestic arena for 25 years.And from Trafalgar less than the top domestic models ...would I do it again ... definitely.

We purchased this a few weeks ago and have found it to be a superb bit of kit. We clean our vehicles every day and cannot fault this kit.

Bought this item for business use - it paid out (fingers crossed to last). It's quieter than the K5 premium and more powerful. I had one K5 premium and it stopped suddenly just when got out of warranty (i hope this doesn't happen here). Main nozzle has three settings - low pressure chemical spray, water/work mode and (concentrated/straight) jet flow(as far as i remember, as never tried this one). Downsides: the side pockets do not hold attachments (i lost dirt blaster on second week). You will have to keep it on the yellow pin which is good if you don't have the FR unit. The FR basic has good and sometimes gives even better results than the standard gun nozzle, but has no wheels and sometimes catches up if you push ahead on uneven surfaces - slightly annoying but ... MoreBought this item for business use - it paid out (fingers crossed to last). There is no power control - don't get confused like i got - the yellow area above the connectors is for chemical solution - it's build in clear 5mm hose with filter and long enough to reach the bottom of 5L can and still have some left. Generally blast power would depend on water mains and not that much to the compressor - you can not choose between 130 and 190 bars. Those black dots would still be removed hardly - some go away with the FR but others stay even with the main nozzle "kissing" the patio, but still better than K series. If you have time to waste some good results may happen, but does it worth? Pressure hose shows signs of wear pretty fast - i hope it lasts. Pressure hose and power cable fit very tight to the storage area and should be rolled up nicely to lock with the rubber as otherwise it doesn't reach. FR unit leaves about 5cm clearance around edges which should be treated with main/standard nozzle Not sure if it would remove graffiti - if i can amend in future will advise further. If it could it may be with the mode i didn't try yet. Good bits: The barrel can be rotated 360 without any issue for the trigger, which also saves time and makes work easier. FR unit saves a lot of time and effort - makes life easier and on some areas provides even better results than the gun and standard nozzle alone. It also keep the mess to very low level. It's also made from strong thick plastic. As obvious - no plastic in the main parts like body/compressor. Fast return on investment and as far as i researched at time of purchase this was the best value for money bearing in mind it provides up to 190 bars although it recommends standard working pressure of 130 bars. Very soft trigger- just a few grams - unlike the K series. The work is not that exhausting and slow as is with the K series. Overall: Despite the not so good bits the pressure washer pays out pretty quick and was the best value for money according to my budget (due to 190 bars chance). I wish i knew earlier that I can not choose power myself but this doesn't change the return it gives. However this is the first pressure washer from HD series i use, but is far better than the past K4, K5 and 2x K5 premium series i had. I chose it instead of K7 as the price difference is not that unbearable and in return i don't receive "plastic compressor" or barrel. A friend of mine had the old 6/13 model and says it's worse than K5 premium(20bars lower according to specifics), but served him 7 years compared to 2.5 for the K5 premium.
