I watched and read many reviews and decided a K4 would be a good replacement for my (dead) M300. The water-cooled pump motor promised cool running (the M300 got quite warm) and it gave me significantly more pressure without breaking the bank. There was much indecision about which water blaster to buy but with the best in-store service and advice I went with the K4 Compact. It's the no frills version of the K4 models but with all the power and performance of it's big, but much more expensive, brother. The K4 Compact is way more than I expected. Before anything just want to say that Mitre10 team are amazing as they tried to give me all the support.Just bought this and the full power nozzle is just rubbish leaves circles marks EVERYWHERE depending on the surface you're washing especially on timbers... Karcher have should add a WARNING about it which is NOTHING about it in the manual or in box and when I spoke with the Karcher rep he said it's in the manual I mean: REALLY?!?! why lie when is nothing there? Just hope Karcher put this warning soon so others won't have the same problem as I had so yes I'm so REGRETFULLY of purchasing it.

great upgrade from the k3, good pressure noticeably quieter than the old unit I had, being water cooled I can work it hard on all my concrete, driveways and off-roading gear.a bit heavier than the last unit and tends to fall over if I don't pay attention and pull on fully extended hose.The increased pressure and flow rates allow me to fully use my deck/patio cleaner and foam gun where the K3 was always a little lacking on higher water use attachments.would have loved to see a longer hose standard (7.5m MIN) instead of the 6m hose this would have saved me moving the unit around as much.An excellent unit great for someone who uses their pressure washers a fair bit while being economical for the wallet. The rotary dirt cleaner is awesome at cleaning dirt & moss from cobble stones. The T-Racer circular head is brilliant at cleaning concrete paths and driveways. The adjustable pressure wand is fantastic at washing down all the mess. But when it comes to putting it away, the cord will not wind around the front lipped thingy, because (a) the cord is not made from normal flexible cord, it's made from a stiff plastic cord, and (b) the lipped thingy is not lipped enough and the cord keeps falling off when you wind it on. It's very frustrating, so I end up just winding the cord around the handle. For a tidy kiwi, verging on OCD, it annoys me. It is such a good, compact, grunty blaster that something as simple as this can spoil an otherwise brilliant machine. And as for ... I bought this back in early December but we finally got the chance to use it in recent weeks. It cleaned down a 12 metre boat with no issue! The lichen is all gone off the fibreglass top and canvas. Zips on the canvas look like new again. Also have washed the car, wheelie bins and size of the house. Overall 100% happy with this purchase. Did my research and M10 were the cheapest around even cheaper than Karcher themselves by $140!
Had a Karcher that never missed a beat over 10 years before it died so decided to buy another one. Bought a new K4 Compact from Bunnings as I was impressed with the water cooling design but how wrong I was. Karcher definitely don’t build them like they used to. I only used it to wash my car once a month for 9 months before it bellowed water from within and no longer held any pressure. Still under warranty right? Sent Karcher an email with all details and pics and still waiting for a reply?Looking at all the online reviews across the Karcher range, I didnt really want a replacement for it to fail again. Steer clear peeps, no longer a reputable company or product.Bunnings however, were fantastic and honored the exchange to another brand almost a year later. Thank you!
Pros: It's light and easy to move. Seems to produce the same amount of power washing that the full size K4 provides.Cons: The provision to wrap cable around the body just doesn't work as the lower moulded end isn't deep enough to prevent the cable from slipping.I haven't used the detergent dispenser yet but having to place the unit flat on the ground with the pipe extended in the detergent bottle must surely mean that you must physically lift it to the next location when washing e.g. around a car or along a patio.
Nice little machine, enough power to wash things around house, cars. Good lance and gun storage, very secure. But as others said, hose can not wind on the machine as photo shows, something is missing to hold the hose in position, maybe design fault. Also, hose is a bit too short, have to move the machine around to wash car, will be much better if comes with at least 7.5m long. No power cable storage as well. All need to put on handles and guns which end up not looking tidy. Other than these it is all good.

Also passed the test! This machine has great pressure, the car is next, along with my carer’s patient disability scooter . I just change my handle to what pressure I need. The biggest plus I found it’s built with heavy duty PVC a great improvement than the many old ones I’ve had! Very easy to use hose length is fine for the work that I do around the house and sheds. Besides if you prefer a longer hose Supercheap have them in stock!
