This is my third steam cleaner in 5 years and was the only one not highly recommended by friends. I can't understand why. I am a senior with joint problems. Not only is the cleaner easy to assemble, disassemble and use, but it is lightweight and I can carry it (with stored attachments) easily anywhere in the house. The shape and size of the tools mean I can clean anywhere - even the small strip of tiled floor between the toilet and wall! The cloths are so easy to fit and remove and clean extremely well. I wish I'd thought of Karcher years ago, I could have saved a lot of money on products which are nowhere near as good.

I purchased the steamer to clean my shower glass. I was going to remodel my bathroom because I could not clean the shower stall glass. It had hard water build up. I decided to purchase the steamer as the last resort to try and clean the hard water spots. I used it and took my time and the shower door and the glass look brand new and I decided not to renovate my bathroom just new paint and decore and with the clean glass it looks 100% better.

I was very excited to get the SC 3 steamer, however it has been a disappointment. I feel like it is more spreading dirt than cleaning. It is a great tool to help with the removal of grease for example but you still have to wipe or use a product to remove the grease feel. Same thing with mirrors or windows, it won’t be spotless and you have to wipe afterward. Just be aware of that. Works great on grouts. I think this tool is great to remove heavy dirt but not for maintenance cleaning.

Only just unpacked my new steamer but it scores 100% for ease of using steam controls with an arthritic thumb. This was a replacement for a highly recommended hand held steamer I received as a Christmas present but was unable to hold down the trigger that produced the steam, due to my arthritis. This steamer uses a whole hand grip on a much larger trigger, it is also light, although not flimsy, making it easy to maneuver on its three wheels. The steamer is very quick to heat up and ready to use in less than a minute. The steam jet is powerful and I would recommend this product. The design has been well thought out and all the accessories have a place to be stored on the machine. However I cannot find a convenient way to store the hose and power lead as neither are ... At present I have wound them around the steamer but this is less than satisfactory and given the rest of the design is so good I would have thought there was a better solution.
This review is for the proper like me who do not like cleaning and loathe deep cleaning. Cleaning walls, appliances and baseboards just gets put off indefinitely. This machine is seriously a miracle sent from above for people like us!! I bought it expecting to use it on counters and floors but decided to experiment and, holy moly, my kitchen looks like Monica from Friends just stopped by to clean! First I did my floors and was extremely impressed by how easily it picked up all spots and left absolutely no residue behind. I was able to walk behind where I just cleaned with socks on and they didn't get wet at all. Then I put on the smaller attachment with the microfiber pad and decided to clean the outside of my fridge. It cleaned it so beautifully and quickly, that's ... I was able to walk behind where I just cleaned with socks on and they didn't get wet at all. Then I put on the smaller attachment with the microfiber pad and decided to clean the outside of my fridge. It cleaned it so beautifully and quickly, that's when I got excited and went on a cleaning rampage. I did my walls, front of my oven, cabinets and doors with the same attachment. Everything looked brand new and cleaner than I've ever been able to get it with my sponge on those rare days I decided to clean those things. Then, I attached the small attachment with bristles and did my sink, stovetop, baseboards, range hood, stove knobs, and corners of my floors. With this attachment it is best to follow with a paper towel because it does leave some water behind. Everything looks beautiful and squeaky clean, and the best part is I did all of that in about 20 minutes!!! I have never been so excited to clean the bathroom and the rest of the house before, but wanted to leave my review first. If you are like me and hate cleaning, this machine will change your mind and at least make it appear like you're a cleaning machine! Off to clean some more! :)
I have been sing steam mops on my tiles and laminate flooring for years now, but fed up with breaking all the time, so thought I would try something different, and much more expensive. My first use of the Karcher was a massive disappointment. The cleaning head was soaking wet before I even started using it, as it kicks out loads of water before the steam starts. To get over this, I hold the unit over the sink before attaching the head piece, and only put the head on once the steam is coming out. However, I still found that the micro fibre cloth got too wet too quick and left streaks over the floor. I ditched the stick on cloth that comes with it, and tried it with my mop heads of my old steam mop, which are the coral type, and although they are not a great fit, ... I ditched the stick on cloth that comes with it, and tried it with my mop heads of my old steam mop, which are the coral type, and although they are not a great fit, clean a million times better than the Karcher one. I have to tie them on with sting, until I find something better to use. I have also used it on my shower with the small scrubbing brush attachment, and this was really good. I have had it for 2 months now, and still cleans really well using the coral mop head. Karcher - please change the mop head to something better.
Karcher SC3 steam cleaner is a great way to clean almost every part of your home with using just water. No harsh chemicals need to be applied to the surface or should be used in this machine. The water heats up and steam is dispersed onto the surface disinfecting 99.9% because of it’s temperature. I highly recommend it. It’s very lightweight and comes on wheels to easily move around. You simply add water in the tank, connect the extension poles, turn it on, wait about 30 seconds and it’s ready to use. Not only have I used this to clean my laminate and tile floors but also the granite countertops and stone tiles in the bathrooms including the grout. A smaller attachment is included for this job as well as a cloth. I also cleaned around the faucet by attaching a small round brush that is included as well. The kitchen chore was just as easy which included cleaning the hood vent and the stove and the inside of the stove door. This was previously very greasy and had to be cleaned twice but now looks spotless. All this was done in a matter of a month in preparation for family visiting. But this was well worth the time and little effort was needed. This machine is very durable. If safety is a big concern, one good bonus is it has a child lock so steam isn’t accidentally dispersed. There is also a low water indicator which helps to know when to add more water to finish the chore. Overall, a superb product and I finally have one multifunctional cleaner.
I bought this a month or so ago. It has proved to be just as useful as I hoped. I live in a cottage with Travertine stone floors and it works really well on those. The water in this area comes from boreholes in chalk and is extremely hard. The little 'scrubbing brushes' are quite effective but work hard and get quite worn but that might be a reflection of how hard I was using them. This was getting some of the limescale from around the bottom of taps, round plug holes etc. I took the precaution of buying extra and also the 'turbo' fitting.I oughtn't own up to how filthy the floor cloth was after my first go and that shows just how much I had missed down on my hands and knees! However, it came up fine having been through the wash. I also bought extra of these too ... MoreI bought this a month or so ago. It has proved to be just as useful as I hoped. It did a pretty good job on the glass walls of the shower, too.I especially like the fact that it is very easy to carry around. Because it heats up really quickly I have been quite happy to just use it for a small job.Would I recommend it - YES! I already have
This is one of the best things I've ever bought; I am (or was!) a slob, but now here I am, surrounded by shiny floors and clean rugs (I purchased the carpet glider attachment separately). It's made cleaning the oven, the sink and all the kitchen surfaces super easy. It's also fantastic for cleaning the mirrors - I use a squeegee afterwards. I'm only five feet tall, so it's allowing me to clean areas that I normally couldn't reach. I don't know if it uses a lot of electricity, but I am so happy with it. I was getting pretty depressed at how dirty my flat had become (or maybe my flat became dirty because I was depressed), and now I'm proud of it. I've also started dusting everywhere, which I never did before, so there's been a positive knock-on effect. Before the ... Before the lockdown, I used to hire someone to come in and clean for a couple hours once every two weeks, but now there's no need. And with the steam cleaner, there are no chemical smells, either, obviously. My friends also bought one, based on my recommendation, and are glad they did.I only wish I could buy the clothes press attachment, as that looks handy, but doesn't seem to be for sale anywhere. Probably I'm just getting carried away, though.
we already have a high-pressure cleaner from Kärcher and are convinced of the very good quality of Kaercher. we already had a steam cleaner from Kärcher in Germany and have finally been able to buy one again here. The operation is very easy, there are various attachments and you can start right away. Everything plug system, cartridge purely, water purely and off you go. The system can be operated in two settings. The normal function is quite sufficient to clean surfaces. The power level with the small brush is perfect for corners and places where really the hard dirt is. We would recommend this steam cleaner without hesitation to anyone who wants to keep their household clean!
