I recently tried out this serum with high hope, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The tagline, "Smoothness Promised, Frizz Delivered" seems more fitting!! Given the reputation of the brand I expected more from this product. Frustrating part is it left me a problem I never had and that I haven't experience previously. I can't help but feel my money was wasted and the product did the opposite of what I expected. Sad to say it's going in the trash money, down the drain.

I love this SERUM UNIVERSEL and it’s plentiful benefits for my hair and scalp. However, I am feeling completely cheated out of a lot of product and a lot of $money$ spent on this extremely expensive serum. The dispenser will no longer work with a third of the bottle still full of the black caviar beads, which you obviously cannot manually crush nor retrieve the serum from. How to fix this?? It feels entirely too wasteful to just throw away a third of the amount of the original beads!

So far this product is great. I used it for a recent outdoor summer event. I think it helped battle the humidity and give my hair a great smell. My hair is getting thinner as I get older and this gave me a fuller look. This is the whole reason I purchased the product. so far it has lived up to its potential. Not sure I will purchase again it is very expensive. I have only used it 4 times. I need to use the whole bottle before I decide to buy again or not.

I read the information on the label as well as the instructions for use, and I found it all a bit vague. What are the benefits of using this product? According the Kerastase, hair is "transformed", "more youthful" and "visibly beautiful". As i read further, I finally get down to the promises: thickened, volumized, 4x shine, plumped & soft. It sounds miraculous. I will also note that all of these fine properties are attached to asteriks - apparently the benefits will be mine if I buy all the other products in the system. So how did it do?The serum itself comes out like a lotion, and only a small amount is dispensed by the pump. This is fine - it gives it the feeling of being precious and not a lot will need to be used. The directions say one or two pumps are all that is needed. This did not go very far on my long hair, so I had to add more right off the bat. Unlike serums I have experienced, there does not seem to be any oil or silicone in the formula, which can make a product feel like it needs to be used more sparingly. I tried this both on damp and dry hair. On dry hair it made no noticeable difference in the feel or texture. It did not cause any issues such as frizz or unwanted weight, but neither did it add anything to the beauty of my hair. On damp, washed hair, it may have added a little "oompf", but not like a product geared to volumizing. I did not feel a noticeable difference to my hair no matter how I used this product.Let me note that I love this brand and have tried other products which are great and salon quality. The packaging is gorgeous and expensive looking., and the product itself is dispensed in the shape of caviar pearls which are crushed by the pump to dispense their lotion. Very creative and upscale approach, I'm just sorry that the product did not actually deliver more benefits in terms of making a difference to my hair. Perhaps the rest of the system is truly needed to have that happen, and I would love love to try all the products together. I just doubt that I will go buy all of them based on my experience with the Kerastase Chronologiste Universel Hair Serum.
The product smells great. It does not have a heavy or strong smell. Very pleasant. One or 2 small pumps is all that is needed on wet or dry hair. It made my hair so soft. My hair was looking dry and this made my hair look glossy and full. I was truly amazed. I have never used any products like this before. I would purchase again but that would depend on the price. I would highly recommend this product.
Agree with another reviewer, I'm not sure what it does, or what my expectations should be. I ordered a bottle and the pump didn't work, it clogged with the beads inside. Customer Service was great, they shipped me another bottle of, but it honestly clogged with the little beads too. It was very hard to get the product out. I tried to pour it out into my hands and smash the caviar beads with my hands... What a mess. While I thought my hair looked good when I was able to use the product, I didn't see any tangible, earth shattering difference with use. The smell is wonderful, and I do use the entire Chronologist line, I love the blow dry cream, it gives my hair a ton of shine and people always comment on it and ask what I use. You can apply it to dry or damp hair but I prefer to apply it to my scalp and hair while damp since I have wavy hair and the majority of the time air dry my hair naturally. I pump out the serum which squeezes out of these pearls into a silky white texture of a serum that feels so luxurious in between my fingers while applying to my hair. Just the mechanics of how the serum comes out of the pearls is a sight to be seen out of this very posh packaging. My hair is instantly nourished, thicker, more voluminous, resilient, softer, shinier, and more youthful. It's all thanks to the two main ingredients which are precious abyssine and hyaluronic acid. I really do like this product I think it does what it claims to do my hair is soft and shiny very easy to brush. I would say that it requires more than 1 to 2 pumps for the product to be worthwhile for me. I have very long hair so for me I need at least six pumps four are used to on the length and then two to get through the top of my head.The smell is pleasant not too strong. The instructions that come with the product are so small you need a magnifying glass to read that it's very nice that they are inclusive as far as the multiple languages they offer the instructions in. I wish I had more time to review this product as I have not seen a difference in split ends or breakage.
I’m 67 with thinning hair a bit at my front hairline. I noticed with Kerastase scalp Drops, shampoos and conditioners that my hair health ‘IS’ showing improvements. When I added this serum an expensive product… well … I definitely could see improvement straight away. I have lon almost mid back. Where by. My chemically treated hair always presents a challenge. However this serum I found it works well at my roots. Kerastase does not claim to make your hair grow with this serum but I saw benefit at my new wisp growth.
I have always wanted that smooth look and never was able to obtain it. I was so happy when I used the serum for only a few days and noticed a difference. My hair was smoother and shinier and just looked healthier. I have long, naturally blonde hair and many products cause it to look greasy but not Kerastase Chronologist Serum.My daughter commented that my hair smelled like Macy's and I kind of agree it's a strong smell but it's not strong all day, just right after application. I would love to continue using this product but I'm not sure I would at the current price point because I have a lot of hair so I need to use a lot of serum and it doesn't last as long as I'd like.
