I purchased the mini size and absolutely love it! I've mostly been using it to shave my legs. A smooth, close shave with super soft skin. A little goes a long way. It has a light scent that mixes well with my scented lotions and body sprays. Also works well on my sensitive skin. I'm planning to purchase the full size. Another positive is that it doesn't make the shower floor slippery like other oil products.

This is a bit like DHC's cleansing oil, but for the body! It's a light golden, fragrant liquid which emulsifies upon contact with water. Main ingredient in here is antioxidant-rich Grapeseed oil and a few other goodies too. I love the fragrance but it does seem to have been toned down since I last used this some years back. Unlike many of the other L'Occitane shower and hand cleansing formulations, this one does not leave your skin feeling dry. However I sometimes find it a bit too emollient as a shower product and tend to use only in winter when my skin can really use the extra boost of hydration, especially my lower legs. I follow with the 'Almond Supple Skin oil' to really lock in that moisture. Personally I love the scent in here but it may not be for everyone! ... MoreThis is a bit like DHC's cleansing oil, but for the body! I am laying in bed and just feeling like a soft smooth velvet angel! This shower oil is so moisturizing for your skin and it leaves a hint of that amazing L'Occtiane almond oil scent. I wash my body, and then lather and rinse with this right after. Like other reviewers have mentioned it does work beautifully on the feet to soften any callus!I have pretty dry skin so incorporating this into my routine has been the best decision I've made in awhile. Highly recommend you will feel so amazing afterward and just feel luxurious in general while using this. (:ONLY ONE CONCERN - It does not lather the best, so I sometimes I tend to feel like I'm using more than I should to fully coat the body, hence the reason for one minus star. None the less will repurchase forever ... MoreI am laying in bed and just feeling like a soft smooth velvet angel! I've been using this for 10 (maybe almost 15) years. I will never switch. I have combo skin with psoriasis. It leaves my skin soft and moist and doesn't irritate my skin. I have never found anything that compares to this and I keep coming back. I love the smell! It is a very light fragrance that is a warm sweet almond with a hint of vanilla. I wish they made this in a perfume! Now that I'm in my 30s and my skin is drier I've started to pair this with the Almond Milk Concentrate and the Almond Supple Skin Oil. The smell is faint, but anyone who gets close to me tells me I smell delicious. I only wish Sephora would carry the Almond Milky Bath so that I could buy all my almond bath supplies in one place.
Someone recommended this to me and so I bought the trial size to try it out. Thinking I really liked it, I finished the trial size and went for the full bottle. At first, you might think itâs doing wonders for your skin because it will be silky and shiny. However, after continued regular use over a few months, I realize itâs actually causing a lot of issues. It has greatly clogged my pores. I use this mainly to shave my legs, under arms, and bikini area. These areas of my body all now have tiny uncomfortable bumps.Secondly, my skin has gotten very dried out. One of the first few ingredients in this oil is a sulfate - absolutely proven to be drying when used regularly.Overall, this cheap and damaging oil is just hiding behind a fancy label and the idea that oil ... MoreSomeone recommended this to me and so I bought the trial size to try it out. But beware, it has ingredients that will do more harm to your skin in the long run.
I bought this because the reviews made it seem like it was a magical in shower body wash that left your skin feeling moisturized. I disagree with that. It is a nice body wash, and it doesn't feel like it dries my skin out like other body washes, but it doesn't exactly feel moisturizing, rather, better than the others. However, it smells amazing! Like light baby powder and almonds I would say. For that reason, I will repurchase. I am allergic to a lot of fragrances, but this does not bother my lungs.
I got the mini size to try it out; I love the smell of almond oil and have used the carrier almond oil Ulta sells for a homemade body wash. I had such high hopes for this brand. The hand creme is lovely but this shower oil? Not so much. I used it to wash my hands a few times over the course of a few days. In the bottle, it smells very good. As I wash, it gets a more powdery smell. Afterwards, it smells like a My Little Pony toy. Then, it morphs into a soft wet dog scent with lingering powdery notes. It has dried out my hands something awful, too.If that's your thing, snap this up right away. That's a no from me, dawg.
Of the entire L'occitane L'amande de Provence line, this is my least favorite. While it smells divine, I really don't see it deliver on moisture. It's really more of a delicious mild cleansing indulgence that turns to soap and washes off, and doesn't penetrate the skin. If you want glowing skin, lingering parfume and serious moisture, put your money towards the actual body oil or Concentre De Lait body Cream. They are both out of this world, age reversing and true-luxury, deeply moisturizing treats to cherish. I'll finish the bottle of shower oil, but not repurchase. The other products from this line, I will purchase as long as they're made.
I was honestly really surprised by this product. Regardless of the mixed reviews, I think this product really shines primarily as a shave oil rather than a cleansing oil. A little went a long way and it truly created such a smooth and silky surface to shave on. I saw so many people complaining about the scent, which I found to be extremely subtle & not overbearing at all so if you didnât love the scent I definitely didnât find that it lingered for a long time on the body. Also, it claimed to have an Earthy/woodsy scent and I think thatâs a fair way to describe the undertone that you smell alongside the primary almond scent. I saw another reviewer comment on the fact that a lot of people hated how this lathered & how she had thought that was just a simple user error ... MoreI was honestly really surprised by this product. I saw another reviewer comment on the fact that a lot of people hated how this lathered & how she had thought that was just a simple user error (-I agree & the application was actually my favorite part about this product). It does lather on âstickyâ but in a good way haha. The more water that is added, the more the âstickinessâ is broken up and becomes a smoother/milkier oil so I found it nice that it starts really thick that way you can kind of control how thick or thin you want it by getting more directly in the stream of water or less. The reason I gave this product 4 stars rather than 5, is because although it definitely made my shaving experience feel a lot more luxurious, I donât know if for me personally I would want to spend the money on a product that doesnât give very lasting or long-term results especially for this price point. My legs definitely felt âsofterâ as they claimed and really smooth but you could probably honestly get more out of an oil that is meant to stay on your skin once youâre out of the shower rather than just rinsed off.
