L'Occitane Cleansing & Softening almond Shower Oil, 16.9 fl oz

This is a bit like DHC's cleansing oil, but for the body! It's a light golden, fragrant liquid which emulsifies upon contact with water. Main ingredient in here is antioxidant-rich Grapeseed oil and a few other goodies too. I love the fragrance but it does seem to have been toned down since I last used this some years back. Unlike many of the other L'Occitane shower and hand cleansing formulations, this one does not leave your skin feeling dry. However I sometimes find it a bit too emollient as a shower product and tend to use only in winter when my skin can really use the extra boost of hydration, especially my lower legs. I follow with the 'Almond Supple Skin oil' to really lock in that moisture. While I do really like this shower oil, I bought this product when it was on sale at ULTA. I do not think it is worth purchasing at the full price as it is expensive. I have seen such great reviews and I had been eyeing it for a while. So when it was discounted, I purchased immediately. I was a bit disappointed as it didn’t seem to live up to the hype. It is still great, very hydrating and smells good (like any almond oil). It doesn’t get too frothy or full of suds, and is more like the sheer milky description. It can rinse away rather quickly though and I don’t find myself reaching for it every shower. I am glad I purchased at a discount.

 If you like soft, moisturized skin this along with the almond supple skin oil from the same brand is the Way to go!  I initially purchased this years ago after seeing it on the Sephora sale, and having so many positive reviews. This makes it so much easier and faster to shave my legs, but it also cleanses my eczema prone body without removing essential oils. I love this.

I received a sample of this a few year’s ago and I’m sad I didn’t take any pictures. This is pricey but IMO this shower oil is worth it. I can’t believe how soft my skin was after using this. Left my skin hydrated all day! The scent is really nice and smells like almonds which I really enjoyed. It wasn’t overpowering so I could layer it with complementing scents/fragrances. I’d definitely recommend and this reminded me I need to pick me up a bottle ASAP.

I’d give this 10 stars if I could! Hubby bought this for me as part of a gift set.. definite winner! I hadn’t tried a shower oil before but I do love it now that I have! It has a subtle almond scent that is also fresh and clean smelling. And it leaves your skin sooo soft and moisturized! It’s not super foamy but it does lather nicely and leaves you fresh, clean and smelling yummy!

I love taking my time in the shower and really enjoy luxurious, elevating products and this one tops the charts. It’s an oil that still has a soft lather that gives you a cleansing feel. It leaves skin soft and supple long after the shower. The scent is great and not too perfume-y. Highly recommend if your looking for a luxurious shower experience.

I love this store in general and I really love this shower oil to foam body wash. It is so moisturizing that I don't even need lotion during the summer months. It smells amazing and emulsifies into an incredibly rich lather. I also love how environmentally friendly this company is trying to be. They give you a discount for bringing them any empty beauty product packaging for them to recycle. And this particular product comes in a huge eco friendly refill that is also more affordable.

I reviewed this a week ago when I first got my new bottle, and after coming out of the shower feeling and smelling like I just left a spa, I'm here again to talk about this product. Oh man! Do yourself a small favor and try this. It is absolute bliss. I only use it on the top half of my body, unless I am shaving, and a teaspoonful gets the job done. It is so smooth, and smells so absolutely delicious that there's nothing else to do but dry off and love yourself. $25 isn't easy to pay for a 8.4 oz bottle of shower oil but when you use it you will understand why and I'm betting that you'll be sold after only one use. It lathers just enough to turn milky and spreads on your skin so easily and rinses off with no oily, greasy residue. I’ve tried shower oil from a different brand years ago and I didn’t like it, but this particular shower oil is different. On contact with water, the oil transforms into a milky lotion. It gives a luxurious lather. It’s honestly my favorite part of my shower, almost like an indulgence. I’ve only used this for a week and so far, I’m loving it. My skin feels soft and smooth and moisturized. It has no sticky or greasy feel. The almond scent is nice, it’s just suble, not overbearing. It’s sweet but not sickly sweet. Some people might not like it but I do. I didn’t buy the lotion (milk concentrate) because the almond scent might be too much for my nose but I might still try that one day. I get dry skin and do not like putting lotion on (even the non greasy ones).. so, I went ahead and gave this almond shower oil a try… the reviews were great, why not? I’M SO GLAD I DID!! After taking a “normal” shower… my last step is the almond shower oil! I will lather it up and cover my entire body with it… then rinse it off (with cooler water)… and when drying my skin, I more like pat myself dry (unless adding lotion/baby oil- because I would apply both of those while wet/damp to help lock in the moisture) I’ve had no negative reactions… my 3yr old daughter gets some of this in her baths as well.. she has sensitive skin, and gets rashes at times. After putting some in her baths.. I’ve noticed her skin is also doing better.
