L'Ombre Des Merveilles by Hermes Eau De Parfum Spray 3.3 oz *Tester

A quiet, unassuming, intimate men's scent -- doesn't slap you in the face or trail after the wearer, make you think of automobile air fresheners or unbuttoned 70s shirts with wide lapels and tab collars. Some men's colognes are just too strong in their hard march to masculinity. This reminds of Gray Flannel, but a little cleaner, a little softer and a little smoky.

Umm so idk how to start honestly but I hate this. This I guess is supposed to be a unisex perfume but this literally smells like a men’s perfume and not even a good smelling one. I do not know if it would make any sense but you know how during winters in very dry climates, when you breathe in your nose feels super dry and irritated due to the dry air and sometimes we end up having nosebleeds due to that? Smelling this perfume literally feels like that to the nose and I did not even smell it during a winter. I smelled it during summer in Texas so no it wasn’t the weather. It was this perfume that smelled so bad. So idk if you like masculine smells, you might like this but can’t tell for sure because if any men wore it in front of me, it would be a huge turn off for me

A modern and bright long-lasting scent

I told the lady at the Nordie's perfume counter I was looking for a new scent. I didn't know what I wanted, but I know what I don't like. So I told her, "I don't want to smell like flowers, honeysuckle, lilac, patchouli, amber, baby powder, vanilla, desserts. I like fresh, bright, and clean modern scents, but I don't want to smell like lemon or orange hand soap." Where in the world do I start?She handed me this, and I could not be happier. It's modern, feminine but not too feminine, fresh and clean but not in a household cleaner kind of way. It lasts all day. I LOVE IT.

Amazing scent, my fave, but no sillage

Had a small bottle of I think EDT so splashed out on the biggest EDP. Not cheap, into three figures and just such a let down. Nobody can ever smell it on me. I can't smell it after 5 mins. I put loads on & still my partner says he can never notice it. I don't want to overpower a room, just a gentle hint as you walk near someone, but you don't even get that. So disappointing because it is the nicest smell I've found in years. But a total waste of money

Epic, Aquatic, & Rich

The notes of the entire line of these perfumes (des Merveilles) live up to their descriptions. Fresh and invigorating scents that don’t fall short of their epic signature house scent. I often wear these even in the summer. Just a dab will do to envelop the user in its aquatic, rich fragrance. Stunning blend of ingredients in each bottle.

FRESH

I love this item; I also go for fresh, breezy scenes that are potent. This fragrance here exceeded my expectations - not overpowering but incredibly noticeable.I would recommend it any day and I suspect it is my scent for life now.

Lovely

Initially it's quite a woody, oriental fragrance and I thought it might be too strong for daily use, however it quickly settled down and I enjoyed wearing it. I would describe it as a slightly more masculine scent but definitely not overpowering and really lovely, especially for autumn/winter months

Smells amazing

Hermes always make great perfumes. To me the notes of incense and black tea stand out the most, the tonka sweetens things out a little. There's something in it that reminds me of others in the Merveilles line. Fantastic perfume, would definitely buy again.

Smells better the longer it's on my skin

I won't say it's a 5 star for me yet but maybe it may grow on me. One thing I noticed is I like the smell much more once it's settled into my skin. I will see what people think of it around me and update review in a month. For context I am a 30 year old woman.

summer fragrance

I got a sample of it. I like it! I’m only giving it 4 stars because it states it’s unisex and leans more to masculine. It’s aquatic and has after the rain clean feel. It is woody and incense, but the tonka bean keeps it warm and slightly sweet in the dry down. It’s still light and fresh. I can see this fragrance getting sweeter with sweat. I would recommend women wearing this in the summer heat but men can get away with this all year.
