This colour really surprised me, like all L'Oreal lip products I own I found the wear time, scent and fading (no popsicle style ring of colour) was excellent. Comfort wise on my poor dry lips it feels no different to a thin layer of balm. They're almost too easy to wear!Colour wise, this is a hard one to describe, it's more than just a brown. There's a lot of warmth and almost a touch of purple that makes it really flattering to wear. Somehow it still comes across as subtle colour, even though it's a darker shade? The undertones take it from being just a standout fashion colour to letting other makeup shine if you chose to do your makeup that way. It's one of those colours you could wear dark eyes with and not look overdone.... Show more

I love this lipstick, it is really an unbeatable formula. It has all the benefits of a moisturising lipstick (thanks to the jojoba oils) but the longevity of a matte. I prefer pinks and nudes and own shade Sakura Petal and Spring Rosette (my absolute favourite!). They come in a lovely case and once the lid clicks on it doesn't come off so great for throwing into your handbag and not having to worry it will come loose. It is a bit of an annoyance at times though, the little button on the side which indicates the shade means you have to place the lid back on one way only, and sometimes when I'm in a hurry it's a bit frustrating to have to line it up and click it on. Minor inconvenience only but worth mentioning.\n\nI find the finish to be more of a demi-matte rather ... MoreI love this lipstick, it is really an unbeatable formula. Minor inconvenience only but worth mentioning.\n\nI find the finish to be more of a demi-matte rather than a true matte, this is a good thing because it is not that tight, dry, uncomfortable type of matte, it has a some life and a little moisture but still lasts a good few hours. The darker shades tend to stain the lip which I love because I don't feel the need to touch up as the stain looks quite even, natural and pretty. I find this formula is truly budge-proof and I don't feel the need to use a liner as it does not bleed or feather at all. One layer, a quick blot then another layer and it is good to go for hours (unless eating). Really lovely formula but sadly they are getting hard to find here for me locally.\n... Show more

Never will I ever buy another high-end branded lipstick after trying this collection! I was sceptical initially as the product claims to be a matte lipstick "infused with hydrating oils" so I judged it too harshly without trying it and I would like to offer my sincerest apologies for my shortcomings. It has the most luxurious, soft, matte LOOK (and I say "LOOK" because it looks matte without actually feeling matte on your lips) without the harsh dry feel. (Now I understand what they meant, forgive my ignorance!). Its formula is honestly a dream and has that perfect balance between a matte-looking finish, but it's still moisturising on your lips without drying them out and highlighting every crease and fine line. No need for a lipliner either as this stays put once it's in place. It might need some reapplications after lunch or your morning coffee but that's a small price to pay for such an incredible productAs for the colour, it's a gorgeous indigo-based grey that isn't too ashy and actually looks good on my fair skin without washing me out. It's one of those universal "looks good on everyone" shades and that's not something I'll say easily. Very opaque application and pigmentation with just one swipe of the bullet. I am so impressed; this honestly passed my expectations and then some... Show more

I have always loved the look of matte lipsticks, and even more so in the last few years where it has been the IT thing. Hell yes. \n\nThe formula is super creamy, goes on smooth like silk and feels very hydrating. The colour is very pigmented, goes on evenly, doesn’t bleed and doesn’t sink into my lip lines. Staying power is great, even after eating or blotting, the colour stays on so that I don’t have to worry about it when I’m out. I personally like the colour once it has faded. It leaves a pretty stain so I don't always touch it up as I think it looks nice. So if you are wearing this lipstick whilst eating or drinking, don't worry it will still look just fine!\nThe packaging is also fantastic. Once the lid is clicked on, it won't come off so you can put it in your handbag without any worries.\n\nIf you are on the hunt for a lovely new lippy I highly recommend Color Riche Moisture Matte, it's just too good to pass up! The only problem you will have is spending too much time deciding which colour to pick.... Good luck! ;)\n... Show more

Having given up wearing lipstick some 20 - 30 years ago due to having a reaction (from all makes) which effects the colour of my lips and then the colour of the lipstick when offered this trial I thought I would 'give it a try' to see if todays formula didn't affect me.The selection of colours would not have been my choice - several where very red or deep brownish red which are not a good look on my pale, ageing skin!! I choose No 640 Erotique as I felt this was the lightest of the selection.I was impressed at how creamy and easy it went on. Not owning a lipliner I was also impressed how it kept its shape on my top lip and didn't 'bleed'. Unfortunately on my bottom lip at the lip line my lip expanded and even although it hadn't 'bled' made my lips look 'bottom heavy'.Unfortunately within seconds the colour changed to the horrible purplish red that it used to. I put on the Ultra Matte lip topcoat and this immediately lightened but this only lasted for a few minutes. After an hour I tried drinking from a glass and was impressed at how minimal the amount transferred. This lipstick lasted between 5 - 6 hours which was excellent for me (what I remember in the 'old days' I was lucky if it lasted 30 mins!!).I think for those who are fortunate enough to use lipstick this will certainly be one to try especially with the topcoat but unfortunately for me its back to no lipstick!!... I have never tried using a matte lipstick before, so was pleased to be able to try this Matte Addiction 640 Erotique lipstick in a lovely dark pink shade. Matte lips being all the rage at the moment, this was trendy and fun to wear. It gives a far more natural look, less intense than gloss, and elegant, but it is harder to wear, with a thicker texture which at my first attempt, looked a bit cakey and dry, but after another try, I found it gave quite a grown-up look which was quite pretty. You really do need a lip-liner, as advised, to pull this off, as the lips otherwise would be less defined than using a gloss lipstick. A great lipstick and a gorgeous colour!
L'Oréal Paris Color Riche Matte Lipstick has a gorgeous, velvet-like matte finish. I love that it has added jojoba and camelia oils! Thanks to this, it doesn't feel dried out compared to other matte lipsticks. This makes it a great choice for those with sensitive skin. I usually can't bear to wear matte lipstick as it dries out my lips and starts to be irritating and itching. It also has a very pleasant smell, yet it's not too strong so it doesn't give a weird test when applied on the lips....
