I have always been a big fan of a good Colombian Coffee. Sadly, many of the so called Colombian Coffee’s out there just don’t do it for me with the exception of a very select few. So going into this one here, I had my hopes and expectations set very low, assuming I was bound to be disappointed as per usual. Thankfully that was not at all the case. If you want a bold, top notch Colombian coffee, then put a little L’Or in your cup. I’m telling you, this stuff is quite possibly the best Colombian coffee out there, at least in an easy to brew format such as these pods. These L’OR espresso pods are absolutely fantastic! I’ve tried several other brands that work in my Nespresso machine and these are by far my favorite. I like a lot of variety in my coffee and my husband often comments on how many of these pods I’ve bought in the past. Granted, these can be expensive but my argument is that I don’t drink or smoke so I get a vice of my choosing and I choose coffee. For the L’OR brand, I’ve tried the Columbia #7, Papua New Guinea #8 & Profondo #8 flavors and each ranks high in their own flavorful way. These aluminum pods worked perfectly in my machine. I will never buy plastic pods ever again as I’ve learned from experience it’s not worth breaking your machine. I’ve opened one of these and the coffee inside is a very finely ground ... I have tried many decafs over the years we have had our Nespresso machine, and finally found the one I love! I only drink the DeCaf at night or during the afternoon's on hot days as a lungo with Italian sweet cream creamer chilled and then poured over ice. But the clincher was when my daughter visiting from Seattle a hard core coffee drinker tried it and the only thing she drank while visiting 3 weeks was this Decaf as a lungo without the creamer and she had the choice of 7 other different varieties of Nespresso brand pods. It's a winner in my book and the L'Or OR Absolu is the best flavored caffeinated coffee of this same brand, you cannot go wrong trying either of these flavors. Enjoy! I personally enjoy a bolder coffee/espresso. This is not bold. This is as mild as they labeled it though so they do give you an honest heads up about the strength with their scoring feature. I like the citrus notes. This is the most citrus-forward out of the three I've tried. I don't think the crema adds anything to this particular pod. The espresso is too mild, and the crema is just a milder foamy version of this already mild espresso. I do like how there's no bitter aftertaste. The espresso goes down smoothly and doesn't linger unpleasantly in your mouth the way espresso or black coffee can. The packaging is very classy, and I love the matte black box it comes in. If you are like me, and you enjoy a good espresso, then these Ristretto capsules will do the trick. L’OR rates at different intensity levels for their Espressos. The Ristretto is one of their stronger ones, with an intensity level of 11. I love a really strong Espresso, so these were right up my alley, being one of their more intense variants. The flavor is that of very bold, intensely bitter coffee deliciousness. This powerful espresso shot is sure to wake you up and keep you energized for the work day ahead. Rating: Kudos!I am a fan of 'high-end' coffee and brewing. While there are a few other ways to brew coffee "better", they generally take more time and effort (perhaps some will consider it worth it). I found common ground (see what I did there?) between great tasting coffee and the ease and convenience of making my coffee each morning. The L'Or system does the work and I get my coffee hot, fresh, and great tasting. Papau New Guinea Espresso is one of my favorites. I typically lean on lighter roasts (I don't prefer darker roasts except on special occasions) and this flavor is right on the border of being light enough. I could enrich you by sharing my experience but to sum up, it's good.

This assortment and variety of espresso is a must!!! I love the different intensity of flavors depending of the mood of the moment.I like Onyx 12 or Ristretto 11 in the morning, it's strong and give me energy to start my day.I share a milder one or (a Free Chocolate one) with my husband in the afternoon and we enjoy making it for the pleasant smell this coffee gives us, up until we degust our coffee to the final drop.This is each time a pleasureful moment in our lives.I trully recommend this brand and want to add ...you can't beat the great deals...very affordable.
