4 weeks in and skin feels more even.I have skin that can be sensitive and was looking forward to trying L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream . It’s an affordable retinol cream with results proven by and independent institute , it has Niacinamide to help brighten the skin and I can buy it while doing my grocery shopping !!The way this cream is presented is lovely, I really like the way the pump works, it keeps the product protected and fresh and is hygienic ensuring it’s free from any external contamination, it also ensures that you can use the product to the last drop with no wastefulness. The pump dispenses the right amount of cream every time and the scent is lovely not overpowering or too floral. The pump dispenses the right amount of cream every time and the scent is lovely not overpowering or too floral. The cream feels luxurious on the skin, it absorbs well and doesn’t feel oily - my skin feels soft the morning after I apply it.To ensure no reaction I stopped using my scrub. Following the directions closely in week 1, I applied the cream twice through out the week at night and in week 2 started applying the cream every other night. I got a little red around the cheeks on the third week so decided to use the cream as per week 2 again (every other night ) instead of applying nightly as instructed. My skin has started to tolerate it I think, the skin isn’t dry or flaky and redness has diminished so have just started to use It nightly but I am very conscious to make sure no reaction and will alternate nightly again if redness or dryness returns. My skin feels moisturised and smooth and I think the skin tone is improving especially in my neck area but its only the start of week four which makes it really hard to comment with certainty as really need another 4 weeks . I want to say that my wrinkles are improving but unsure so feel it’s a little early to see results and comment - I am looking forward to seeing the outcome in the next 4 weeks to say for certain.I have sensitive skin which can be oily and whilst I had a mild reaction on my cheeks in week 2 due to the cream, my skin is back to normal now with no dryness or flaking skin which I wanted to avoid. My skin does feel little more even which I was really happy about. This is my first time using a L’Oréal skin care products (I really like their cosmetics) and I am excited to try an affordable genuine retinol cream that doesn’t blow the budget. I am looking forward to the seeing the results in four weeks time to see if I have found a new night cream.

I have been using this product for several weeks. It was a departure from my skin care regime and I will be returning to my usual products.I honestly don't think this cream is anything special - and hardly 'magic in a bottle' - that I saw another reviewer write. The jar is nifty and one pump delivers enough cream to cover my face. I also like that there is no waste and no cream exposed to the air, subsequently drying out.The scent was artificial and neither pleasant or unpleasant. The texture of the cream was thick and what you would expect from a night cream. It absorbed very well.I didn't follow the suggested staged approach to use ie. beginning slowly over a week before using nightly. Thank you Beautycrew for the opportunity to trial this product. I've been using this product for close to 3 weeks.I do have skin that's sensitive to certain ingredients (ie can't tolerate AHA's), so made sure I cautiously added the product to my skincare routine. The box instructs to start twice a week, moving onto bi-nightly, before, if your skin can tolerate it, a nightly routine. My skin tolerated the cream quite well, by following this recommended progress. I found moving to using it every 2nd night worked best for me, as nightly Retinol may have been too much for my sensitive skin.My skin feels soft, smooth, and very well hydrated. I love trying new anti-aging products and was very excited to try this as the main ingredients, Retinol and Niacinamide, sounded perfect for my skin.I’m still on my second week of using this as I received it just shy of 2 weeks ago so I have only used it a handful of times and therefore haven’t noticed any radical changes yet, but I can say that my experience so far has been nothing but positive.First of all, I love the packaging! I have never used a cream which dispenses in this manner and I think it’s brilliant; extra hygienic and easy to use and get the correct amount per application.I love the texture! It isn’t too thick so it spreads nicely and melts into the skin easily. It doesn’t feel sticky or greasy, and has a nice floral scent which isn’t overbearing but I would prefer no fragrance (it can make me feel a bit ill at times, or, for some, be the extra irritant that makes or breaks a product).Following the guide by starting off using twice in the first week and every other night during the current second week, I didn’t experience any negative side effects. This has been gentle enough so far so I don’t expect to encounter any issues when using it nightly, as tolerated, when into my third week of using. So far, I have noticed some changes to my skin with the most obvious being less breakouts, especially noticeable at the time when I breakout like clockwork due to hormones. This alone is a great reason to continue using this, but I have also noticed my skin is slightly smoother and firmer, as well as less dull overall, so I am excited to see how my skin looks after longer use.I love the overall look, feel and experience so far using this cream and I am intrigued to see how well it can tackle my deepest forehead wrinkles, which will be a true testament to its power. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting to reverse the effects of time to give this a try.
I will admit from the get go that I’ve used prescription Tretinoin before and all of my other skincare is from brands stocked at Mecca (DDG, REN, Sunday Riley) and Sephora (Ultra Violette). My “drugstore” products are from the likes of Avene and LRP. I also enjoy products from Zelens and Oskia.I have quite sensitive skin on my face and everything I put on my face is highly researched and introduced slowly. For this reason I decided to use this cream on my neck and décolletage only. Having sensitive skin on my face, there would be no way for me to use this more than a few times in the amount of time given to review if I followed the instructions and based on my experience using skincare. To cut a long story short, I’m glad I didn’t use this on my face as my skin ... MoreI will admit from the get go that I’ve used prescription Tretinoin before and all of my other skincare is from brands stocked at Mecca (DDG, REN, Sunday Riley) and Sephora (Ultra Violette). Having sensitive skin on my face, there would be no way for me to use this more than a few times in the amount of time given to review if I followed the instructions and based on my experience using skincare. To cut a long story short, I’m glad I didn’t use this on my face as my skin did not tolerate this well (esp on my décolletage). Upon night 1 of using the cream, the thing that struck me the most is how heavily fragranced the cream is. It is not a natural nor neutral fresh scent, but rather a strong cosmetic fragrance which reminds me a bit of shampoo. I actually found it quite irritating to my senses in the evening. By the time I applied the cream for the fourth time, I noticed that the skin on my décolletage was not smooth and in the next few days after I developed a itchy red rash, so I stopped using the cream in week two. Having used retinol and niacinamide ingredients before with no issues (on my actual face), I can only put it down to the fragrance in the product. I wish companies did not add fragrance to facial products.Other than that I think that the packaging is great from a practical point of view, very hygienic to use and one press of the top dispensed enough product to cover my neck and décolletage easily. The cream is light and spreads very easily and felt otherwise hydrating and nice (just not the fragrance!)To summarise, I cannot comment on L’Oréal’s claims that the cream visibly reduces wrinkles and evens skin tone because I only used it four times before I started to get a visible reaction. The box specifies that the full effects would not be apparent until 8 weeks of use… but I can warn anyone sensitive to fragrance to maybe try before you buy somewhere where there is a tester as the fragrance is strong for a facial product.
First up - and it’s important - this packaging is excellent! The airless jar dispenser ensures you are not compromising the efficacy of the product each time you use it. Premium brands have been doing this for years and finally L’Oréal has seen the light (or more precisely learned that a retinol product should not be exposed to the light). This is a big upside to this product over others at this price point. Also the dispenser gives you the perfect amount which ensures you are not using too much product. Love love love.Secondly, there is no scent to this product. For me this is a big plus. I have sensitive skin and hate most scents on my face so any real scent is a dealbreaker.I love that this product has niacinamide in it as that is my HG ingredient. I have sensitive skin and hate most scents on my face so any real scent is a dealbreaker.I love that this product has niacinamide in it as that is my HG ingredient. I usually use The Ordinary’s niacinamide serum alternating nights with my retinol, so I liked that this was a two-in-one. Because I was already a pretty regular user of niacinamide I can’t say whether this made a visible difference but I was certainly no worse off.It is difficult to say anything about the efficacy of this product because I had to leave my review after two weeks, which is only about 5 applications. Although I already use retinol I was not taking any risks (and also I was a little unclear on the retinol amount in this) so I followed the instructions to ease into this by using product twice a week for first week and progress to every second night. So far no issues but also not enough time to tell you if I’ve been persuaded to switch from my usual (more expensive) retinol product. That being said, I really like the packaging, the lack of scent, the application and I haven’t had sensitivity from it. I am going to definitely finish using the jar and I am feeling very hopeful that this may be my new go to.
Revitalift Laser Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream is the latest in L'Oreal's Revitalift anti-aging line. It contains some good ingredients, including Niacinamide, a cosmetic form of vitamin B, which is the 4th ingredient and helps to offset the otherwise drying effect of the Retinol, a form of vitamin A, known to increase cell turnover and improve collagen production. I tried to find out what the Retinol concentration was and couldn't - it's pretty low down on the ingredient list so I'm guessing it's not too strong, but from the moment I used this I knew it was impacting on my skin as it started tingling and itching (I never used Retinol before so probably good that it's not highly concentrated). There was pretty good warning that this would happen and it didn't cause redness though I found it fairly uncomfortable, particularly when I started using it five days a week second week. I've only been using it for 2 weeks and I have found that already my skin is looking denser with fewer fine lines (though it's always hard to judge this) and the frown line between my eyebrows has definitely faded and my skin tone seems to be a bit fresher looking (I'm certainly not getting that fresh look from sleep). It absorbs quickly and isn't greasy. I was also quite pleased that, in spite of the discomfort, I haven't gotten any breakouts or other visible irritations, and the discomfort, which I still feel on every application, is gone in the morning when I wash my face. On the minus side, this has a lot of ingredients and not all of them are things I feel good about using over a long period of time. This includes silicones, alcohol, and a lot of preservatives. All of these are pretty low down on the ingredient list, so probably won't cause too many issues in the short term, but over a long term, I'm not too comfortable with putting these on my face every day. The other thing that I really don't like is the scent, which is very strong and doesn't dissipate. It is somewhat redolent of gardinia but cloying. The plastic packaging is a bit unusual - with a lid that you press and the dose comes out on top. It's an interesting idea that does definitely keep the cream in the jar clean and hygienic, and does deliver a single dose on press - easy. But you do need to clean off the lid each time, otherwise there will always be a little bit of cream on the top which is not that hygienic because it sits there contaminating any new product that comes up. So it's a bit of extra effort and waste which you wouldn't have with a pump (much nicer to my mind and just as hygienic without needing daily cleaning). Overall though, it does provide a pretty effective anti-aging night cream for older skin, and seems to have a positive effect on skin tone. I ramped my use up probably quicker than I should have as I really wanted to test its efficacy, but I recommend you follow the instructions and use every other night for a few weeks before going nightly which should help mitigate the irritation. Price is pretty expensive, but L'Oreal goes on sale a lot because it's so readily available and you will almost certainly be able to find it heavily discounted somewhere. If there was an unscented, silicon-free version (possibly in a pump), this would definitely get four stars.
I was sent this night cream to test free for reviewing purposes and have been using it a few nights perweek for the past few weeks. So far I am very happy with the results and it suits my skin perfectly! I love the delivery of this pressed cream and find the innovative container distributes the perfect amount of cream for my face. The texture is get light and creamy, and it absorbs beautifully into my skin and does a great job of infusing my skin with deep moisture. Over time, I did notice that my skin appeared much more supple and hydrated, which reduced the visibility of my fine lines, especially on my forehead area, and each morning my skin looks radiant and restored. I am very happy with the experience so far and I look forward to continuing to see results in the coming weeks ahead! I definitely recommend this product!*I received this product free for testing purposes
The clever innovative packaging is a far cry from the traditional tubs or tubes, no more using spatulas or wasting product under my fingernails. The simple pump action lid dispenses a dollop to apply to one's face and neck - once you work out if you need a hard press or subtle press. My first application was quite rigorous and I found myself applying a little too much of the cream. It took me a few applications to perfect the perfect amount that I needed. I have sensitive skin it was quite tingly, but its consistency is rich and hydrating, non-greasy and its scent reminded me of being in a beauty spa. I haven't used many retinol creams before so I didn't have any expectations, but I noticed a difference in my facial fine lines & ageing spots and the subtleness of my face and neck. I loved using this before bed at night but it did take a few weeks to get used to, although I also used the entire product which I don't normally do. After some weeks I did find it drying out my skin however my beauty advisor at Priceline suggested that I make sure to apply daily moisturiser and a serum, which I did so effectively that I feel this would be a bump addition to a weekly routine.
I am a professional hair and make-up artist and am always on the lookout to try new products for my kit AND for myself. The L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream I have recently been using is a really nice mid range product. I have used many retinol cremes including the pure stuff from the doc. This creme smells the same as the pure stuff and has the same effect the next morning when you wash it off so it IS strong. It has a VERY strong fragrance to it which is nice and obviously added to mask the retinol smell. I really quite like it actually. what I LOVE about it though it the packaging. the push down mechanism dispenses a perfect pea sized dollop to scoop up with your fingers.
