Currently I'm back to a muddy/blue tinged green. I have used this brand of dye before in different colors when I was dying over brunette hair without any bleach involved and I also do remember that it faded very fast but it wasn't as noticeable because I was dying over dark Brown hair where it's now dyed over light blue and it's very easy to see how fast it has faded down. #complimentary #feriahaircolor... I used to dye my hair all kinds of fun, but I stopped dyeing and bleaching my hair when I decided to go on my longer/stronger hair journey. But I’ve had the itch lately … So when the opportunity to try this kit in the gorgeous deep purple shade (my fav 💜) without worrying about bleaching or hair destroying ingredients I was all in. The shade is Deepest Violet (V28), it is a black violet that is recommended for those whose hair is already medium to dark brown with a cool undertone to their complexion. It is a permanent hair color with a color booster to keep the brass away and extent your results. The gel formula made application super easy with minimal mess, and the conditioner that’s included leaves your hair silky soft. I will say that the results were subtle but ... I will say that the results were subtle but pretty on my hair, just a bit of rich purple when the light hits. I didn’t notice fading until week 5, and the fade is gradual and pleasing, no wonky green or gray issues. I definitely recommend these kits if you’re looking for something fun for the fall or holidays.... Show more

I'm really new to dying my hair. When I was in my 20s, I did it a couple times for fun, but now I'm 40 and I'm too vain or gray. Mind you, that's a personal thing for ME and absolutely not against anyone that has gray hair. After all, covid, inflation, and the knowledge of chemicals being terrible for us has led many of us into a "gray" area. Do we dye hair for ourselves and society's view or do our best to be happy. Healthy, and confident as we are? My self esteem isn't great, so my vanity wins. This product is my favorite hair dye I've tried for at home use. It completely covered my gray strands (to be fair, I don't have too much, but it's there and I see it). Super easy to mix up and use and it smells awesome. Plus it comes in TONS of colors! Also, my hair always looks silky and shiny afterwards and you don't always have that with boxed dye.... Show more

I received this product free from Influenster and L’Oréal Paris in exchange for my honest review! To start off, I myself did not get the opportunity to use this dye since I just recently got my hair done, however a good friend allowed me to give her a makeover and boy does she look great! First and foremost I usually do not use box dye products, but this dye surprised me to the fullest! I was pleased to learn that the product was conditioning and came with a tube to strengthen the intensity as well as the “shimmering/highlight” effect. The dye was quick to setup and processing only took 25 minutes! Likewise, the product did NOT stain skin as badly as it said though I was very careful around the hairline. The dye also was not strong smelling, like most dyes making you lightheaded with ammonia and other chemicals. I was honestly unsure how the tone was going to come out since my friend had a rather badly toned blonde that was already chemically treated to begin with. But I was very pleased with the results and the tone overall! I definitely could see that shimmery highlighted effect as her hair came out with different tones of violets and blues even! The color is so vibrant and made her hair look very healthy. Furthermore, the dye came with both conditioning shampoo and conditioner which worked like a charm. Overall I’m really pleased with this, YES BOX DYE and I hope that the color lasts for her. I plan on giving her a touch up when needed since the dye is only about $11 at Walmart! Thanks L’Oréal Paris and Influenster!... Show more

I received this in exchange for my honest review. I have never dyed my own hair before, and I was a little apprehensive of the process. However, it was fairly easy and the instructions straight forward. When I washed my hair out I was nervous that I left it on too long (even though I followed the suggested time) as my hair was jet black and not purple. However, in the day light it was a very sublet and dark shade of grape. As I washed my hair over the weeks the color lightened evenly and became more and more of a flattering and more noticeable purple. Weirdly enough it looked natural until the light shone on the hair (and even then purple was made to look natural). I will need to re-dye my hair again this week or next.... Show more

When I received this product I have gotta admit, I was really nervous about it. I thought this was going to be super vivid and red. Granted I do have box died brown hair but the picture on the box showed a very red color. I was anxious about it so I just decided to dye the underneath like outta the 2000s. I opened the box and to be honest this is the first box dye that I had to read instructions on. Normally there is just the dye, activator, and conditioner. There were a couple more added steps to this which made me more nervous that lol. So I went through process of dying my hair and it was not very noticeable. My husband noticed but also said it wasn't super bright or noticeable. 3 weeks after dying my hair it was still bleeding when I got a haircut. First picture ... First picture was the day after dying it, second picture is about 2 weeks. Would only recommend if you have lighter hair but don't know how long it would last. I eventually ended up dying over it, red comes through here and there.... Show more

Improved product, and natural looking color!
For decades, Loreal has been my "go-to" haircoloring product line. I have had grey hair for over twenty years, and although I don't mind getting older, I really don't like the look of my grey hair. About a year ago, I developed a an allergic sensitivity to Superior Preference, and set aside the boxes of haircoloring I had purchased in advance, heading to a hair salon that marketed "green" haircoloring products. I was initially OK with it, but the color was off, and bland- it was not a pretty color blonde. I purchased my usual Superior Preference color, 8G Golden Blonde, cautiously mixed the coloring, and applied it to part of my hairline waiting to see if I had a reaction. Nothing! I proceeded to apply the color as directed, setting my timer for the prescribed time, and after rinsing and conditioning with the conditioner that is included in the package, and BOOM! Exquisite, natural looking color!... Show more

Professional Hair Colorist
I thought the product was magnificent. The one application was enough to cover my entire head from root to end and when my hair is wet it lands on my shoulders and I have naturally curly hair. I have tons of white hair or with some would call grey very heavy in the front. I have been ill and having colored my hair in 6 months. My hair is naturally black but at 55 I want it to go lighter without anything pulling red. The results are absolutely stunning. Again more than enough color cover all my hair from root to end professional disposable gloves that are easy to take on and off, and a great tube of conditioner that can last me for about three applications. Shine Serum formula is a problem
Like many other customers, I've used Loreal Preference (medium blonde) for probably 25 years, both Preference and Excellence, and it has always worked great. I get many compliments on my hair color, and people think it's natural. About a year ago I got a box with "Shine Serum" and I noticed right away that coverage was inferior and significantly lighter in color. I had to color again much sooner than usual. I made sure to avoid the Shine Serum boxes after that and had no more trouble. But I just colored my hair and the color (which was a weird red color, not at all like normal) didn't take at all. Not one bit. It's like I didn't just spent an hour and a half coloring my hair! I examined the box and sure enough, I found Shine Serum in tiny print, barely noticeable, ... Not one bit. It's like I didn't just spent an hour and a half coloring my hair! I examined the box and sure enough, I found Shine Serum in tiny print, barely noticeable, which I totally missed. It was previously featured prominently. I feel tricked, like L'Oreal is trying to unload this unfortunate formula. And now I've got to color my hair again. What a shame, and waste of my time. I believe the entire problem is the Shine Serum formula. They need to get rid of it. I will continue to use the other formulas. Just beware of the Shine Serum!... Show more
