L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Lift Mascara Black

The holographic writing against the black text is really appealing, but also simple. The packaging is plastic, as is the wand. What makes this mascara stand out compared to many others is the shape of the wand. There is a wide curved shaped wand with small plastic bristles, and on each edge there are some longer plastic bristles acting as a comb. I thankfully have quite long lashes, but this mascara increased their length by almost double!! Then using the comb part of the wand, I separated my lashes out. It took a little getting used to, but once you find the knack of using the wand, this mascara was so simple and effective. It does not provide the biggest amount of volume, but it is certainly lengthening.I put on two coats, and it looked great. The only reason why this is not a 5/5 review, is that by the end of the day, I noticed a small amount of smudging onto my eyelids. This might just be because I get oily eyelids as the day progresses. I found that wearing a waterproof mascara on top of one coat of this mascara stopped this smudging from happening, and that is now how I prefer to wear my lashes.Overall, I think this is a great mascara that I will continue to use!

I like the intrinsic wand shape. I haven’t come across an applicator like this which has a raised / curved wand. This seems to be a USP along with the bristles of the wand. It gives the mascara a unique edge.Performance-wise I am astounded by its ability to lengthen lashes and how it is multi-purpose due to the wand! The bristles separate lashes and define them without the need for a separate lash comb. Therefore I am able to carry this with me when travelling and not need any additional tools to define lashes. My lashes with one coat appeared more prominent, lengthened and curled slightly. My lashes with one coat appeared more prominent, lengthened and curled slightly. With two coats, the curl had become more pronounced as evident in the images I have enclosed. These are my natural lashes - no lash lift or extensions. I am impressed with how lifted my lashes looked.As for the formula, I have oily skin and find high-end mascaras predominantly contain oils to nourish and hydrate lashes but I prefer mascaras which don’t as it ends up transferring everywhere. Therefore I like this mascara. It didn’t transfer throughout the day and proved to have the longevity I desire in a mascara.To conclude, this mascara has a unique wand and design which gives it a high-end feel. I love how it curled and lifted my lashes with two coats and I will continue using this and repurchase!

In the hours I wore it it remained smudge free and flake free, it's not as lightweight as some mascaras I've used but didn't overly weigh my lashes down either.Now about that new style brush, well it's not for me, when I used it I found it applied unevenly, lashes looked clumpy, too much product was applied in one sweep and weighed lashes down.However when applied with a 'normal' Mascara wand it was a different matter (see My Verdict!)The actual Mascara itself is really good and I probably would buy again, it was the wand that let the product down for me, I've been using mascara on a virtual daily basis for 35+ years and have used literally dozens of differently shaped wands and for me this wand let down an otherwise great mascara.Mascara 4/5Wand 1/5
