I use black beans in numerous recipes, including in rice and burritos. I love that they're slightly sweet--it really adds more flavor to the dish. The fact that black beans are packed with protein is just an additional bonus. If you've never tried these black beans in a black bean brownie recipe, then you don't know what you're missing. These beans are super versatile and I love having them on hand.

These are alright, but not as good as the whole pinto beans. Yeah they are affordable and all, but I recommend you all try out the whole pinto beans from la costeña. It’s an alright flavor but I would not buy again.

The best beans you can get in a can. They taste homemade, and have the perfect flavor. I like to fry some onion in oil and smash the beans for the perfect refried beans. This is my go to and I recommend these over all other brands.
Love this brand and product! I have also tried the pinto beans and they are just as good. I use them when I make nachos, tacos, or just as a side dish. They are affordable I have been consuming these beans ever since I was young
All three cans were dented. This is not the first time I've gotten dented cans. I do not purchase dented cans - on purpose.
Love these black beans. The seasoning is great! These are not your typical black beans, no, better than ordinary black beans. Delicious! :-)
Half the can is water, so you are better off buying a 16oz. Can of Bushes Black Beans. Also, well over half of the cans I received had major dents on the seams and had to be returned. Disappointing to say the least.
This is the only brand of canned black beans my family buys. I'm glad it's at local Walmart. Since we moved away from Chicago they're aren't many that carry this brand. For this who don't know this brand I highly recommend it. We usually mix the the refried with their whole beans for a smoother consistency.
My daughter bought this can of La Costena black beans last summer and left it at our house. I needed them for a recipe yesterday, but first I looked at the ingredients. Wow! I got more than I bargained for. I just called to ask where she got them. Going back to Walmart today and the beans are at the top of my list.
