La Mer Crème De La Mer Moisturizing Cream, 2 oz

Lightly citrus scented which I like. Silky luxurious formula applies well and does amazing for fine lines, plumping skin, and evening texture. I got the mini to give it a try before buying a big one. I will definitely be buying a full size! I keep this one in my bag for a quick on the go pick me up for my skin. I sometimes just use this and a little powder instead of foundation. Even in humid summer it feels amazing, not greasy or heavy and thick at all. Overall a very good product.

Absolutely AMAZING-worth every penny!

La Mer's Crème de la Med is absolutely amazing. 110% worth every single penny. Yes, this crème is extremely expensive. No, it is not just for rich people. I am lower middle class and saved up for my first pot of this crème. I have extremely extremely sensitive skin, have tried a ton of different moisturizers from high end to drug store all that are marketed towards dry, sensitive skin. They all burnt my face terribly and left me hurting and broken out. I decided to save up and splurge on crème de la mer. I got the 1 oz pot and have used it every night so far for about a month. This may be the ONLY cream that does not burn my face or break me out. I will continue to purchase over and over again. Someday I will have the 16 oz pot. Someday!!!

I don’t like anything about this. lol La Mer face creams are so overrated & overpriced. First off, does anyone actually like the scent of these products? It’s smells so artificial & just not good imo. WHY?! The first two ingredients are just water & silicones.. For this price point, I expect the bulk of the formula to be better quality ingredients. I could be wrong, but I didn’t see mineral oil/paraffin/petroleum listed in this one, while they are in La Mer’s other face creams, so that is one possible improvement at least. If you want any moisture, this is not for you. Definitely for oily skin girlies only. I normally have very clear skin. It also made my favorite trusted tinted SPF pill on me, which it has never done in the 3 years of using it. Again, probably the crazy high silicone content’s fault. Yes, there are some good ingredients mixed into this water & silicone-based formula, but the cons are just so bad, I can’t see any beneficial pros from them :( I received sample sizes to test, so I can’t comment on the quality of the actual packaging, however, that doesn’t look impressive from the pictures. lol Hopefully it’s at least glass, but dang, it’s looks cheap & ugly & that’s just sad for something high-end. It’s a necessity for my sensitive skin

Yes it’s expensive-it works for me and I have decided it’s worth it. Yes, it has fragrance in it. It smells like old school rich lady cold cream. I don’t mind it and don’t get any irritation from it. In fact, I have broken out from a lot of‘fragrance-free’ products because often they mask the scent. Anyways-you MIST apply this the correct way! You warm it up on your hands and press it into your skin gently. Warming it up allows the algae spheres to disperse and work their ‘magic’. Pls be kind to this tried and true classic.

Love this moisturizer

I received this complimentary from La Mer and was pleasantly surprised! It is so great and lightweight but makes my skin feel so firm and soft. It is a great moisturizing cream and I love how soft and plump my skin feels when using it! It feels like my skin looks more hydrated when I use this. It does not have parables, sulfates, phthalates, etc - which is a big deal to me. If you have oily skin this would be great for you because it balances sebum. Absolutely adore this product. Thank you La Mer!

This is a fake la mer product! Buyer beware!

This is unfortunately a fake jar of la mer moisturizing cream. Foolishly I purchased this in September and did not open it until this evening, as I was working my way through a jar of facial cream first. I did get this for an amazing sale price, and I can only assume that was because it is a fake. Firstly, upon opening the cellophane wrapper, the bottom of the box completely fell out, as the jar is just a smidge too big to fit in the base. The green writing on the jar came off in my hands. I looked at my hand to see green on it and though, "what is this?" to then notice that the writing on the jar had come off. Mind you, I didn't have anything on my hands- no lions, creams, etc. There also was not any paperwork in the box for the cream. Today I learned to follow the instructions!!

My mom got this as a gift a year ago and ran out so I bought her a refill for Christmas...yes, my wallet hurt a bit but it's nice to splurge on my mom. I've tried the Sephora sample before and liked it okay but didn't think it was spectacular BUT!! The salesgirl helping me today told me I was USING IT WRONG and I was like, I don't know how to apply face cream?? Apparently you're never supposed to spread la mer products on your face! I got another sample and immediately tried it using the proper method of warming between fingers and then patting on face. Wowwwww so much nicer experience and yes, I came to write this review just to share what I learned today. Works if you use it correctly

I don’t think those leaving reviews about how thick it is understand how it works and surely didn’t follow the instructions on how to use it. You’re supposed to take a small amount, using the spatula provided, and then warm it between your fingers until it’s translucent and then gently press into the skin. Yes it’s thick but if used properly, it’s not that thick on the skin. It’s extremely hydrating and only a small amount is needed to benefit from this product. I had a sample set of La Mer products and the week of use is what turned me on to them. I noticed the difference in my skin almost immediately. I’ve been using this for over a year and I get compliments on my skin frequently. helped calm malar rash

I went to a local La Mer counter in my city because I heard that this creme might help with the malar rash I had on my face. Sherry, the lady at the La Mer counter, was very kind and gave me some samples to try. That was the first part of Oct 2022. I used the samples sparingly, and I used them every other day as well. What I started to notice was that my pores were smaller, my skin tone was very clear, the hyperpigmentation old acne had left behind was fading. And the old acne scarring on my face that left divets was starting to smooth out. I couldn't believe it. So in mid Dec 2022, I went back and got the OG Creme as well as the Concentrate--- the 2 things that I had been using. I am not rich either-- I am a regular person who has to save her chips in order to buy this. But I will-- because I have never seen so many positive changes in such a short time period!!!
