La Mer Moisturizing Cream, 3.4 oz

I got this product in a Beauty Insider award with a few other products from Sephora. Not familiar with Lamer packaging or the product, other than it is quite expensive. I was a little caught off guard for the product to not have a seal or protective cover in between the lid and the cream, and then went on a Google image search to find out whether the trail size has a seal. The product also had and still has a hair in it that I tried getting outband is now deeper inside the product. Also saw on SEVERAL different forums that apparently people have been switching out the actual product for other creams such as a brand like . The forums say a giveaway is the scent. I would assume this is an authentic product, given it is in a Beauty award (pretty high award point value 500) for this to be a fake. Another giveaway to this product being tampered with is that I also received the and it was actually harder to open, like it was sealed. Can not give a review other than what I have experienced, and not sure whether this is a Lamer or Sephora issue.

I got a sample size container of this from la mer and was excited to finally try the infamous cream. The little jar lasts for a few uses which is good considering its exspensive in my opinion so nice to know a little goes a long way. This was very hydrating and after absorbed my skin felt soft and hydrated and felt great in the morning, it also left a dewy look on my face. Not oily or greasy but dewy so deff good. I did add 2 small drops of regular vitamin E oil with this tho as this cream is very thick and a bit hard to smooth over my skin without it. I tried it without oil first and was hard to smooth over exspecially evenly and felt like I was tugging on my skin alot which is never good but once I added a cpl drops of oil with it it worked great. I wouldn't say this is my favorite cream tho as there are other more affordable options that I like better but if can afford it is a good one if u have dry skin, exspecially good for winter too. If u have dry or very dry skin and can afford it I'd deff say go for it just get a oil to mix a little in to make it easier to smooth over skin plus for extra hydration too. It also did not irritate my somewhat sensitive skin so thats a plus as well. Can't wait to try the soft cream and cool cream version of this next that came with my sample.

This stuff is awesome. Putting it on lightly in the morning and night, I noticed a difference in a couple of weeks. My lines haven't completely disappeared but they've become less and aren't as noticeable due to the product leveling out my ph as well. My face also looks and feels firmer. I also have sensitive skin and this does not make me break out at all. It has a pleasant scent, is lightweight and feels wonderfully refreshing. Also, a little goes a long way with this cream which is definitely a plus since it is on the high end...but so worth it! I would also recommend using the cream with the Eye Balm Intense and the Regenerating Serum. They all compliment one another very well and subtract years from your face and neck. Love this product!

I received a complimentary deluxe sample directly from La Mer of the new formula. I have also tried a sample of the original formula from a Sephora rewards points set awhile ago so I will compare. First off both were small samples so I cannot fairly determine if any long term effectiveness nor benefits of use. I can however tell you that both formulas are extremely moisturizing and did make my skin supple and soft as it claims when used. I would recommend trying this brand.

My skin is extremely dry at this time of year because of mixed weather(Altlantic Canada-Fall season). I tried on the cream after a nice deep cleansing. It is hard to apply as the cream is very thick and you need a good quantity to rub all over your face. Once applied, skin feels pretty greasy. I did feel like my skin was getting hydrated and protected from the cold weather. After applying my makeup(always light for work), I could still feel my skin was a bit greasy. A few hours later, my skin did feels soft and still hydrated and yes..I could still feel it a bit greasy. Again, this was a small jar so maybe the long term effects could do a bigger difference but from what I saw, I would stick with the cheaper brand of skin creams.

La Mer's creme de la mer is an exceptionally thick, moisturizing face cream. I enjoy the scent quite a bit and how much my skin loves the moisture. I tend towards drier skin if I'm not careful, and this one has definitely kept me properly moisturized. It's fairly expensive, and at least for me, not any better than the body shop hemp face treatment I use, so that's something to keep in mind. Does it work? Yes. Absolutely. But if it's not in your budget, other products will absolutely do the same job. It's definitely a great product, but it's not a necessity either.

Honestly this is such a great moisturizer for the colder months. I live in an area that gets all four seasons and i find that this helps my skin so much during fall, winter, and even early spring! You only need a small amount and you rub it between your fingers until it’s melted down into translucent cream and then you press it into your skin! It looks beautiful under light weight makeup and makes my skin look so hydrated in the morning when I use it at night! Ultimate favorite, but the price is up there! But overall great splurge for your self during the colder months!

It's feels like a luxury cream as I work it In to my skin. It leaves my face feeling so hydrated and clean. Then you add the New Treatment lotion point to it skin. It's like added extra layer of hydration to your skin. The 2 together, it doesn't feel like add layer of products that's weighing your skin do down. The very best face cream for mature skin. Also works for eczema or chemical peels. I love this face cream, it’s very expensive from the company or department stores but Sam’s Club has the best price. Scoop out a tiny bit and warm it first between your fingertips until it turns translucent. Then pat on damp skin and whisk upwards. I like to apply a hyaluronic acid serum or Korean snail cream along with it so it has some extra slip.
