Didn't know Pasta could be this Good. Decided to use my sample for a Valentine Mealfor Mr and I. Mmmmmm the food of love and made with love. My picture is upside down, so stand on your head if you want to look at it properly. The pasta hails from Italy, plastic was binned and the box was recycled. Doesn't give instructions on box for that. Had a few broken bits, but overall the 6 little nests of pasta kept their shape. Cooked in the time stated on the box/plastic, I did end up cooking a little longer as I added some frozen peas in the last minute of time allowed. So all up the pasta with peas cooked for 8 minutes. The sauce I made clung to the Fettuccine beautifully. A true Italian pasta and will be my go to from now on, costs a little more $3. 00 for 250g. You can purchase 500g in the Woolies brand for $1. 00 or in another popular brand for $2. 60, but the quality is just far superior to them. Beautiful silky strands of pasta, I understand budgets rule a lot of our budgets. But if your wanting to create a special meal, this is one to keep in mind. There is also another 500g Fettuccine #5 in this brand for $2. 00. Ciao Buncheeze!

Love this brand of pasta. I used to always buy cheap pasta and think there wasn't any difference. How wrong was I. After trying a couple of different variations of La Molisana I am switching to this brand. Such good quality. I love how it is presented as six individual coils of pasta. Although I made a big pasta meal so I could freeze the leftovers, the individual coils would make it easy to portion out if you were cooking a smaller meal. It cooks up perfectly. Doesn't stick to itself like some cheaper pastas can. The texture is soft and not chewy and it holds the sauce really well. It is made in Italy. That's ok by me as that is the home of pasta and it shows in the quality. The packaging I would describe as sophisticated and when grouped with all the varieties in ... MoreLove this brand of pasta. I like that it has an inner cardboard tray to protect the delicate pasta from breakage. It is normally priced at $3 for the 250g pack. I think that is not a bad price for the better quality you are getting. I used this pasta to make a mushroom fettuccine which was delicious.

Squisito pasta (translation - delicious). I usually buy the cheapest basic pasta as i did not think there was much difference but this pasta was definitely better quality. I don't know whether the pure spring water or the egg make the difference but this fettuccine cooked so beautifully soft yet held its shape and adhered really well to the creamy tomato pesto and chicken sauce I made to go with it. It was so soft, delicate and delicious. I also loved the way it was packaged and that the pasta was spun into 6 'rolls' so taking out an individual serve or two was really easy. This will now be a brand I look out for when shopping for pasta.

Fancy Pasta is a treat. As a frequent consumer of pasta, I’m used to cooking Woolworths branded pasta in my household and I don’t mind it. I don’t see why I need to pay extra for brand name pasta. How much better can expensive pasta really be? When I saw this sample in my inbox, I was extremely excited to try it out. The packaging appears very fancy and I wouldn’t have known it was affiliated with Woolworths except for the fact that it was a bunch sample (and that it says Imported by Woolworths in small font on the back of the pack). I like that the little backstory of the pasta company is included on the back of the pack as well. Presentation in the package is impressive with 6 loosely coiled nests of fettuccine resting in a cardboard tray. The plastic is clear so you can see the pasta before you purchase it. The pasta had a semi soft touch to it out of the packet which gives it that “fresh” pasta feel. The cooking instructions are pretty straight forward as you would expect with pasta. 6 mins cooking time in salted boiling water. I left mine to cook a few minutes longer, although they still turned out al dente. We served this pasta with a tomato based mince Sauce and shaved Parmesan cheese (another bunch sample!). The pasta was certainly nicer than our regular pasta and a lovely treat to have. However with only 250g in the pack, it would only be enough for 4 small servings. And at a price of $2. 40 per pack, it is more than 4 times the price of the regular Woolworths pasta (unit pricing-wise) but if you want nicer tasting pasta, then this one is the way to go

Beautifully presented and delicious. The first thing I noticed about this pasta was how beautifully presented it was. The individual coils of pasta looked very appetising through the clear window of the packaging. Unfortunately the packaging isn't resealable though, so if you weren't going to use all of the pasta you'd need to remove it from the packaging. And whilst the coils look beautiful, they're not very practical to store with the shape making it impossible to store with either my spaghetti or fusilli. As such I just shrugged my shoulders and cooked the whole lot!The pasta itself is delicious. It uncoiled easily whilst cooking and didn't stick at all. We generally buy short pasta like fusilli and penne as it's easier for the kids to eat, but I'd be happy to buy this pasta again.

Great Pasta Brand. This brand of pasta is very reliable. I have used other varieties in this range and have been really happy with the end results. They're easily found in the dried pasta aisle and easily found with their lovely, almost country style, light blue and clear packaging so you can see what's inside. This egg fettuccine also comes in a cardboard tray with nests of the pasta placed in one layer. It travelled well from Italy and came home unbroken. Cooking instructions are spot on. I made a lovely carbonara with this and was absolutely delish! I had plenty of left overs and when reheated, was still very good. I will continue to buy this brand. I noticed that the usual price tag of $3 for 250g is at $2 at the moment. Great time to try this one out. Thanks a ... MoreGreat Pasta Brand. This brand of pasta is very reliable. Best fettuccine Ive tried. I’ve always wanted to try these nest looking types of pasta before but have always stuck to my usual, so I was very happy to receive this sample. The pack advises to cook in lightly salted boiling water for 6 minutes, however I cooked it for a little longer as I found it to be slightly hard still. The pasta didn’t stick together! Yay! I do however think the amount of pasta provided suits 2 or 3 as it wasn’t enough for myself, husband and 2 kids. (Although we may just be piggies and eat more servings each than we should). Anyway the fettuccine was absolutely delicious!!! It was smooth and silky and after cooking it for that extra couple of minutes the texture was perfect for us. At $3 it is a little bit more pricey than some of the other pasta ranges, but it is most certainly worth it! I will be buying this again.

Luxe pasta. This comes in a large packet containing 6 coiled nests of fettucine in a cardboard tray to protect the pasta. The clear packaging allows you to inspect the pasta so you can choose a packet where the nests haven’t broken. The packet is large so you may want to consider if you have somewhere suitable to store the remaining fettucine nests once you open it. Sample Tester cooked one nest of fettucine with passata sauce and parsley. The fettucine was delicious with a smooth and silky mouthfeel. Price is $3 for $250g which is good value for this premium pasta. We don’t eat much pasta so the large size of the packet makes it inconvenient for us in terms of storage space but it would suit others who eat more pasta.

Perfecto Pasta. I often buy egg pasta as an alternative to the usual dried Barilla, and I was really excited to see how this sample would compare. Well, what can I say? This pasta range really stacks up ... and that’s saying something considering I am of Italian descent and my husband is a confessed pasta addict! Having received both the tagliatelle and the fettuccine pasta samples in this range, I decided to use this fettuccine sample first, to accompany a stroganoff meal I had prepared. Firstly, I was of the understanding that tagliatelle was the thicker of the two varieties but in this instance the fettuccine was the thicker cut. You do have to read the labels correctly as everything looks the same. I really like the ‘rustic’ packaging and I really like buying egg pasta in a cardboard tray, as it seems a little bit more ‘special. Having said that, the plastic packaging was really hard to open, and I basically had to tear it. As my husband is the only one who eats this pasta, (and consumed half the packet) it meant I had to transfer the remaining pasta to a container. The cooking instructions say this pasta cooks on 6 minutes but for my husband, I cooked it for 9 minutes. Obviously this is a very personal preference. The pasta was so silky and soft, held its shape and was the perfect accompaniment to the stroganoff. This pasta didn’t stick together, it didn’t go gluggy and it stayed nice and separated even when drained and plated up. I highly recommend this product for the pasta lovers out there. If only they did a gluten free version!

This has come from Italy and has next to no breakageIf you use the entire packet as soon as you open it’s fine but if you only require a few of the nests, this packaging is not ideal. It’s also large and takes up a fair bit of pantry space. There is no HSR or recycling information on the packaging. The nutrition information states that this serves 2 but I feel that is very generous and could easily serve 3 or 4 people. The cooking time is 6 minutes, which is ½ the time my regular pasta takes to cook It was al dente at 6 minutes and didn’t stick together. It tasted great just by itself and was silky smooth and soft and not the least bit gluggy. I made a simple Prawn, Cherry Tomato and Spinach dish. The fettuccine was delish, it had the taste of fresh pasta and far better then other packet fettuccine I’ve had. This will now be my ‘go to’ pasta, so it’s a big fat YES from me, I will buy again and don’t hesitate to recommend others to try.
