This suncreen is very aptly labelled, hydrating! It pretty much goes without saying that your skin is going to be extremely well protected against the sun with any La Roche Posay sun protection product, so I'm going to focus my review on the experience of using it. Again, as labelled, its definitely hydrating and moisturising! If applied over a moisturiser, almost too much so, but used in place of one, it's definitely more enjoyable to wear. I love LRP products but have to say I didn’t enjoy using this one. Perhaps if you use a small amount it would be okay, but anyone who knows anything about sunscreen will tell you that you need a good thick coating to properly protect you. This unfortunately was very thick, heavy and greasy, and did not sink in. In stark contrast to the Anthelios face formulas which are brilliant. I actually have quite dry skin so I would have thought my skin would enjoy this formula, but it sadly did not sink in so ended up rubbing off on clothes and furniture. I would advise LRP that a UVmune formula for the body would be much appreciated, and a lightweight texture like the facial formulas would be much better! 2 stars awarded for the very high protection offered.

I love this sunscreen. Definitely delivers - never stings my eyes, scent is non existent, and hasn’t broken me out (for the short time I’ve been using it). The texture is medium thick and I like the feeling of it, more so than the thin texture of the invisible fluid La Roche Posay sunscreen I was using before I tried this one. Only need a few pumps for whole face. Quite moisturising, perfect for winter. Leaves a beautiful finish, isn’t greasy and layers well with my other products/makeup. The only con is the price (although it’s cheaper than some other more up-market sunscreens), small product size, and I wish it were water/sweatproof for summertime and outdoor activities.

My skin is pretty normal if not on the dryer side due to prescription retinoid treatment. I found that it stung my skin the day after I had used an exfoliant but it is hardly surprising as my skin was more prone to irritation. This is my skin and those with normal sensitive skin will be different. This product is “fragrance free” so it does have the traditional suncream scent. I have to be honest and say that I mostly use this cream in combination with the Anthelios fluid, as I find the cream too greasy on my t-zone, which is very oily. This hydrating cream is perfect for my neck & décolleté, I also use it on my cheeks when they are feeling dehydrated. The cream goes on smoothly. It absorbs well, and does leave the skin hydrated, if a little greasy in parts. It doesnt leave a white cast on my pale complexion. Oily & combo complexions may prefer the fluid verson. Personally, I use the fluid on my face, and the cream on the drier skin on my throat and décolleté. I find that to be the perfect combination

Last time I was on holiday (in Mauritius, countries mentioned for comparison purposes), I used an SPF face cream from Caudalie which was great (and good for the environment), but since that line is/was being refreshed and is/was unavailable, I bought this. I didn't think I'd like it that much as it's a thick cream, but I'm converted! If Caudalie's came back as good as before, I would stick to this one now. This cream goes on thick but sinks in like a dream. You know you're covered. I was in the sea and the pool all the time yet didn't get a face tan - my ideal outcome. It smells nice and isn't greasy. Ive tried different sunscreens (in general) but also a few different ones from la roche and this is my absolute favourite one. I have very sensitive skin and also struggle a lot with acne and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I breakout very easily and was a bit nervous but the product is amazing. The texture is super light and absorbs very quickly and I love that its not greasy at all. I had this issue before with another tinted sunscreen also from la roche so i stopped buying them tinted. Luckily, even tho it doesn’t ajdust perfectly to my skintone, it so light that i can easily apply makeup above and then looks great. What i also really love from these line of sunscreens is the packaging, super convenient and it never gets messy. I havent seen many skincare brands that have such a variety of high protection sunscreens while still being hydrating, tinted, etc. Usually the tinted sunscreens or very hydrating ones that I have seen in the farmacy are 30spf. Im very glad to have found this product because the sunscreen that work for me the best is the Anthelios Anti Imperfections but havent been abale to find it in germany anymore. But now I know this new one doesnt break me out either and im super happy! Would recommend this product 100% and once i finish it there are very high chances that i´ll buy it again. I will acknowledge that technically I am using this for the wrong skin type as I am combination oily and it is marketed for dry skin. However, I came to try this product after having irritation with the LRP anthelios invisible fluid (which is marketed more for my skin type) as the high alcohol content was just a bit too much for my very sensitive skin. I am really impressed with this product. I have recently tried to step my skincare and use a specific spf product, rather than just makeup with spf or moisturiser. When you first put this onto your hand, it instantly looks and smells exactly like suncream from when you were a kid. But when you put it on it rubs in really well, doesn’t leave a white cast, and is really moisturising on your skin. Most importantly though for me, this product does not cause piling when you put your makeup over the top. I have recently tried super goop unseen sunscreen and while there was loads hype around the product and it was marketed as being superior to old fashioned sun creams because it was transparent, smells nice etc etc it really just did not deliver. Most importantly though for me, this product does not cause piling when you put your makeup over the top. I have recently tried super goop unseen sunscreen and while there was loads hype around the product and it was marketed as being superior to old fashioned sun creams because it was transparent, smells nice etc etc it really just did not deliver. By comparison this product doesn’t pretend to not be suncream, but instead is just all round really good sunscreen that I don’t mind wearing. I don’t feel like I’m comprising on the quality of my makeup when I have it on. Also it’s spf 50 so you don’t have to reapply as much.
