La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Dry Touch Gel-Cream SPF50+ Protection for Oily Skin 50ml

This is my new favorite facial sunscreen! You have to remember to shake the bottle before you use it. It goes on a little liquidy, but it smooths out into a nice satin feel when you rub it into your skin. It dries with a matte finish and works well underneath make up. I am from a very sunny desert climate. This stuff is awesome and I haven’t had any sunburns even after all day ware. Always follow instructions and reapply sunscreen as directed. I have just been lucky and not gotten burned after not replying as directed. I’m in and out throughout the day. Doesn’t really have a smell, which I like. Fantastic sun protection.

My husband had a skin cancer removed from his face and this sun protection gives you the confidence that your skin is being protected well. He has tried other sun protectors but as he works outside, when he sweats they seem to drip into his eyes and cause them to sting. This sun protection is ideal for the manual worker as it's non-greasy, it sinks in to the skin well and doesn't come off when you sweat. Although this is a small tube it has lasted him two years, a little goes a long way. Highly recommend.

Great for Rosacea & Seborrheic Dermatitis

Great sun cream! I have Rosacea and Seborrheic Dermatitis. I have just used this product every day for the last seven days and had no issues with burning, stinging irritating rashes, it’s refreshing to be able to use a sun screen that doesn’t cause a reaction. I would have given 5 stars, however this is quite expensive and the pump is a pain - you have to squeeze the top at the same time you press the pump - packaging could be improved! Please do not discontinue this product.

Product - great. Packaging - Horrible.

I really like the product, but the packaging is horrible.As I wear SPF50 all year round, I find this product great. It's not greasy, absorbs nicely and keeps your skin protected. I also like the fact that it's not tinted.Packaging, however, is far from great. It gets to the stage, where there's still plenty of product left, but you can't squeeze it out and it takes absolute ages and loads of effort to be able to squeeze it out.

Quite orange

Sorry, i accidentally posted this review on the non-tinted version when I should have posted it here for the tinted version.I've been using this tinted sunscreen for a week and it's quite orange. I am Asian, so have warm skintone, but this is too orange for me. It's recommended for my melasma (as it contains iron oxides, hence the orange colour, I guess). It would be good if they could add something to counter the orangeness, without affecting the sunscreen's effectiveness.Definitely non greasy and anti shine.

The BEST oli control, mattifying SPF on the market

La Roche Posay's Anthelios SPF range has been & will continue to be my absolute favourite SPF skincare range for my 35 yr/old combination - oily skin type. If you do have slightly drier skin, then use your light moisturiser or hyaluronic acid first - i use my vitamin C serum then this as my moisturiser in hotter months personally, my evening skincare is more moisture driven! I highly recommend this as well as their Oil-correct during cooler months as it's not so mattifying.In my opinion, it is worth every £ as it lasts for a good few months with daily use for anyone with oiler skin & t-zones (plus, there's usually some offers throughout the year!)

The only face sunscreen I've used for years.

This sunscreen doesn't pill if used correctly. Don't layer this over thick hyaluronic acid serums. HA hates sunscreens and it's the HA that pills, not the sunscreen. This is fairly hydrating to be used in replacement of moisturisers for the daytime. Best used over fully absorbing watery serums. Dries invisibly and is EXCELLENT at keeping oil at bay all day (as it's hydrating, it creates a great skin barrier.) Perfect for face and neck.

Works well

I was reluctant to purchase this due to the negative reviews but I decided to give it a go. It's actually pretty good - I have not had any issues with it being too white or it piling on my face, like some people have mentioned. I purposely wore it for a full week prior to writing this review to give it a proper chance. I have worn it under my foundation for 7 days straight and have had no issue - I wonder whether some issues may be application error. I apply my regular day cream, let it absorb then apply this product then go and do something else (feed the pets/do my hair) before applying my foundation. Its great!I also live in Queensland and its very humid.
