La Roche Posay Cicaplast Lavant B5 Purifying Soothing Foaming Gel 200ml

I've been trying some La Roche Posay on the results of a products based on a poll I did on Influenster. I purchased this from Boots and got a great deal. This is a good gentle cleanser. However, it does dry me out in a couple of small patches on my face which I don't think it's meant to do. It doesn't really have a scent but when I've got some suds in my mouth washing it off it definitely has a horrid taste 😂 I've also used this elsewhere on my body and it is very gentle and non irritating as promised, I've used it as a shampoo for my scalp. I wish they would put some instructions on the bottle for this though as I was unsure if it would leave my hair greasy, should I just apply to my roots scalp or my entire hair? Some guidance would have been very helpful! in the 2 weeks I've been using but this product along with the others has definitely helped dry my acne patches up and clear it slightly. Would still recommend.

A lovely face wash

I bought this as it was recommended to me by a friend. I normally use cerave. This was a lovely product and left my skin feeling fully cleansed with no noticeable tightness. I’ve since gone back to my trusty cerave but would still definitely recommend this

Amazing

I bought this for my boyfriend to use with the cicaplast spf 50 balm. He had very dry, sensitive, eczema prone skin. He’s been using it for a week now and his skin has improved drastically. No longer red and inflamed and flaking. Great products especially for sensitive skin.

Cleanser

This cleanser is one of the best and definitely my favourite cleanser once I get money again I’ll definitely repurchase. Not only is it SO GENTLE on the skin it is so good for getting smooth skin and making sure it doesn’t disrupt your skin barrier. I absolutely love this cleanser sm.

Exceptional cleanser

I stumbled upon this in my pursuit to find an uncomplicated but effective facial cleanser. I'm grown tired of the short-lived promises of so many products. I decided to go back to basics and less is more. This is an amazing product and I only need to use the smallest amount. The first time I used it, I pumped a pea size amount which was way too much. My skin felt a bit tight afterwards. Since then I've reduced the amount about the size to that of a grain of rice, which is perfect for me. I've been using as a morning cleanser, and again on an evening after I cleanse first with Eau Thermale Avene Micellar lotion, or if am wearing make-up, Eau Thermale Avene Milk Cleanser, followed by Cicaplast Foaming Cleanser. Love it

The face wash gel pleasantly surprised me. I want to invest in brands that pay not only for the name but also for the quality of the product. Out of the entire order, I only managed to try the gel, which is already running out. Intended for sensitive skin, I would say that it will also suit very dry skin. It was a bit drying for me at first, but later it just feels like a clean face. It cleans flawlessly. I would definitely order it again, and it is best to use it in the summer, especially those who have oily skin.

This is a wonderful wash for the face and body. Doesn't dry out or strip your skin. Love using this every day all over in the shower. It softens and moisturisers my skin much better then other body washes. Definitely a plus that it's fragrance free.

My Go-to cleanser :)

Great product for my sensitive skin that leaves visible results in under a week. I like how mild yet effective this is for my acne-prone skin. Here are my results from using the La Roche B5 cleanser followed by Revolution Niacinamide and zinc serum after 6 days.I prefer to use the cleanser on dry skin and then leave it on for 1 min then I rinse it out with cold water. While my skin is still damp, I then add 3 drops of the serum to my face (1 drop on forehead and on either cheek).Would highly recommend.

My skin saviour

Cicaplast Lavant B5 is a wash I use literally from head to toe. I have an allergy to many things which are included in skin care ranges. It is complex and not understood by the manufacturing companies, who believe if it’s natural it’s okay. It is not okay. I cannot tolerate rose oil or geranium oil to name just two and I cannot tolerate any spices. Unfortunately there is a Turmeric tidal wave at the moment, it appears in many items to do with skin.So when I stumbled across Cicaplast Lavant B5 it was an absolute relief. My only fear is the ingredients list will suddenly change and I will have to search for something else.

Please avoid if you have dry, sensitive skin

I had such high hopes for this product as the Cicaplast Baume has worked wonders for my dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for this cleanser. It has a gel texture which I would generally avoid for dry skin, but I figured that if Cicaplast was great for me, then this would be too. I usually wash my face for 60 seconds with my normal cream cleanser, but I could only wash it for about 20 seconds when using this as I could already feel it stripping my skin of oils. My skin felt dry and tight immediately after using it, but I didn’t think anything of it. I applied Cicaplast Baume like I usually do after cleansing, and the irritation seemed to subside.
