I am giving this product 5/5. The coverage of this product is very great for me. It covers some post-acne spots and turns my face one color. It's very effective to hide some shortcomings. In addition to that, the scent is not irritating and the texture is neither too thin nor too thick. The packaging is excellent and of a good size.

Didn't broke me out. It's a white gel cream with faint milky scent. There's niacinamide in it which works really great for my oily T-zone. I can put a tiny pea-sized worth of cream on and enjoy an oil-free day. My skin feels soft and smooth after 3 days use. My face is generally clear but I do have visible pores and existing physical acne scars from teenager years. I did feel it made a difference to those scars (they're slightly smaller now after 1 bottle). I like this, it does work but I think it's really pricey.

So originally I thought this was kind of pricey for a drugstore/ulta brand.. but after using I think it is totally worth the money!! I don’t have any active acne at the moment, but the product still changed my face! It made my face so smooth, got rid of any texture, eliminated my pores, and got rid of any acne scarring I did have. My skin has never looked so clear! My skin is also softer! I would recommend really hydrating when using this product as well! I’m really glad I tried this and will continue to use!

This is super light! It’s a great type of BB crème or good for a natural look. I love it! I also sometimes blend it with my foundation as well. I have super dry and sensitive skin and this doesn’t make it dry or irritate it!

I love this product and have been using it for over a year now. It’s my favorite to wear on non-makeup days as a tinted moisturizer to help even out my skin and can even be used as a primer/corrector under foundation. Plus I love that it kills acne causing bacteria and it’s great for sensitive girlies like me! The reason for 4 stars is that it can cling to dry patches and pill if layering too many skincare products underneath it, but overall this stuff is amazing and I will continue to use it as one of my go-to’s :)

A natural, flattering finish with sheer coverage and added skin benefits - Effaclar Duo+ Unifiant
29 September 2016

I was scrolling through a fellow beauty blogger’s Instagram when I saw that La Roche Posay had launched the Unifiant version of my beloved Effaclar Duo. I’m pretty sure I let out a little squeal, and felt emotions that can only be embodied by excessive heart-eyed emojis. This product quickly flew to the top of my “to try” list, and I couldn’t contain my excitement when the lovely Abbey at LRP offered to send me a sample. So what makes this launch so squeal-worthy? Well, if you’ve ever tried or heard about the ‘original’ Effaclar Duo+, you may understand my excitement. The Unifiant version of Effaclar Duo+ contains all of the blemish and acne scar-fighting ingredients that feature in the original version, but with sheer coverage to ‘instantly unify the skin tone’. ... MoreI was scrolling through a fellow beauty blogger’s Instagram when I saw that La Roche Posay had launched the Unifiant version of my beloved Effaclar Duo. In other words, this has the potential to be a double-whammy wonder product – enough coverage to wear throughout the day, whilst improving the skin.I can confidently say that the original Effaclar Duo+ cream is one of my all time favourite skincare saviours. It’s the only skincare product that I have consistently repurchased since I first used it almost 2 years ago (and that’s a big thing, considering how fickle I am AND how problematic my skin has been during those years). The original Effaclar Duo+ is something of a cult product amongst beauty and skincare enthusiasts because of its blemish-fighting, shine-controlling and pore-unclogging powers. Due to effective ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide and antioxidant Vitamin E, the results really are visible after just a few days. With prolonged use, you can even see a reduction in stubborn acne scars. You can read my full review of the original version here. However, the original Effaclar Duo+ is a colourless lotion, and I would have to pair it with a moisturiser and a layer of foundation in order to feel presentable during the day. So, just IMAGINE being able to cut out the foundation part altogether on days where you just CBA, and replace it with a product that offers coverage and acne-fighting properties. Too efficient for words, and certainly a prospect deserving of a squeal.Having used this product for 4 weeks now, I feel able to offer my honest review. It’s safe to say my expectations were high to begin with and I’m happy to say I wasn’t left disappointed.Effaclar Duo+ Unifiant retails at £16.50 and you’ll get 40ml of product. It’s definitely not the cheapest of its kind, but also not the most expensive. I think its cost-efficiency depends on whether you’ll use it on its own or whether you’ll require additional coverage (I’ll come back to that in a moment). I have paid more for sheer coverage products (i.e. BB creams or tinted moisturisers) which do not contain as many skin-improving ingredients. So, to me, the price is reasonable given its acne-fighting abilities and added coverage.I have no complaints about the texture of the product – it feels like a standard cream moisturiser, is easy to blend and almost undetectable on the skin once applied. The shade I chose (light) was also a good match for my natural skin tone. However, with only two options – light or medium – the shade range leaves much to be desired. Where’s the dark shade GUYS?! Hopefully, more shades will be released in time, because blemishes affect everyone – regardless of skin tone. Now, the coverage. The idea that you could wear this product alone in the day is wonderful, especially for people with acne-prone skin who shouldn’t be clogging their pores with tons of additional foundation and concealer. But I reckon you’d need pretty good skin to feel comfortable wearing this on its own, which sort of defeats the point in my opinion. You probably wouldn’t need the additional acne-fighting qualities of this product if you had great skin. I definitely don’t have great skin, and the sheer coverage is not enough to cover my delightful spots or scars. On days where I end up adding additional foundation on top, I find myself thinking that the original Effaclar Duo+ is a better investment as it can be worn in the morning and at night. That said, I have worn this alone on days where I’m not doing much or I’m feeling lazy, and it’s fantastic at brightening and evening-out the skin tone. On days where I might be bumping into people, I have added a bit of my trusty Laura Mercier High Coverage Concealer and I’m good to go. As well as making breakouts less frequent and aggressive, it has certainly encouraged me to wear less make-up and allow my skin to breathe more often.Overall, I’d recommend this to anyone who likes a natural, flattering finish with sheer coverage and added skin benefits. It’s undoubtedly a winner if you suffer from the odd breakout and are looking for a quick and easy product to throw on in the mornings. If, like me, you wish to cover pigmentation or scarring, perhaps use this product along with a good full coverage concealer and practice “spot-concealing” (Lisa Eldridge has a great tutorial on this method here). My skin has definitely appreciated this product and a break from cakey foundations over the past few weeks and I’m confident that yours will too.

Great tinted moisturiser
30 January 2017

I have sensitive skin which is combination/greasy. I have always struggled with the results of sensitive skin products because they seem to target dry skin conditions. Hence, my skin becomes overloaded and comedones and milia develop. Efaclar Duo+ products are a revelation for me! I was cautious, at first, that they may be drying for my skin, which sometimes happens with products targeting greasy skin conditions. But the Efaclar range really balances my skin. The Efaclar Duo+ Unifiant is a great daily moisturiser and the colour tone I see an absolute match for my skin tone. Another challenge for my skin is finding a foundation that matches my skin tone and this one is perfect. I have got my confidence back after 30yrs
16 March 2018

Firstly, thank you reviewers, for I would never have spent this much on a moisturiser if it wasn't for your reviews saying how this product had changed the look of your skin. I've tried so many different products over the last 30yrs I've had a spotty face and have wasted so much time in the past covering up spots, picking off the dead skin of spots that show up the concealer/foundation. I have used this product morning and night for 3wks now and can honestly say my 15 spots is about 5 spots and they are not as red. Any spots that I do have seem to heal much quicker, my pores either side of my nose have got loads smaller and I hardly get any blackheads now. My oily T-zone isn't so oily either now. I bought loads, this is how much confidence I have in this product. My husband was not keen on me spending this much on facial moisturiser but once he had noticed the difference too he agreed it was well worth it. I now feel confident about how my face looks. I have red hair fair complexion and I mix half the light tinted one with the plain one and it gives a subtle shade darker, as using just the light tinted one was too dark for me. The tube isn't big but you only need a small pea amount I find and 3wks in I haven't finished it. In case you're wondering, I wash my face with a cheap oil-free lotion in the morning and clean my face at night with a face wipe from a budget store. I started to notice effects within 10 days I'd say. I really hope that this works for you too.

Must have!

I've always been a fan of the duo+ so when I found out a tinted version of it was coming out I was naturally very excited! Who wouldn't want a product with the same performance as duo+ and coverage as well?! Needless to say I LOVE this moisturiser - it feels like nothing on the skin, it looks supernatural but still manages to uniform my complexion, and of course it has the same benefits as the regular duo+. I was expecting the coverage to be a lot more sheer but I was surprised at how well this covers my redness! I've been using this as my daily base, I add a tiny bit of concealer here and there and I'm good to go! It doesn't make me shiny and it lasts all day on me. I got the shade "light" and it matches me perfectly although I'm usually a light to medium, so the ... MoreI've always been a fan of the duo+ so when I found out a tinted version of it was coming out I was naturally very excited! I am 45 and had perfect skin throughout my teens, twenties and thirties. Even through the early part of my forties. The dryness subsided by day four as I assume my skin adjusted. Initially, the product brought spots out that I suspect were lurking under the surface. Now at day 6, I am seeing them all disappear by the day.I don't know if this success will last. If I can, I will post a follow up in a month or so. At that point, I will have had another period and will be able to see if these products prevent more spots. However, I will be happy if there are just less spots than this month. For now, I am so impressed by these products that I had to write a review in the hope that somebody feeling as bad as I was will find it and see the light at the end of the tunnel.I already use Cicaplast Baume B6. We always have a tube in our bathroom cupboard for any skin irritation that my children and I have through the year. It's also brilliant following any skin treatments with derma rollers or lasers.
